I got a chance to run these two buggies back to back at the track today, here are my thoughts on how these buggies run!
#22X4 #B74
Great introductory comparison video. I would suggest that when you do the full comparison video that you have the steering assembly upgrade installed on the B74.
I raced with Dustin Evans last week and his new thing is removing front and rear sway bars. He is actually removing the entire bars. He's fast.
Keep up the good work mate you always give a good amount of information 👍
22x4 is king right now , i came from a 74 which i owned and raced for 9 months , x4 beat my previous hotlap first run , second day on clock have gone .7 quicker
Awesome video. Informational made me make up my mind by watching this video. Thanks man
For me (I have no experience in 1/10 scale racing) they look like twins. 40-50grams difference is a lot for such a small rig. Thanks for testing it out!
they do look like twins! thanks for checking out the video!
Thanks, love the video as these really do help! I ordered a b74 Thursday. I've only ever had Tamiyas, and it's very frustrating trying to get parts. That was the deciding factor for me in north America. If I order the steering upgrade tomorrow, it will only take a week to get! I've got stuff ordered that says September delivery and it's already been a month or two!
Part of the mid corner push in your b74 is the front tires, i have ran those and felt a mid corner push as well but on turf. And the new parts for the b74, they released new steering plates which allow for tighter steering radius/more steering throw, I think that's what you were referring to. Otherwise, great video!
Thanks for sharing
I feel bad you had to spend the whole day at the track just to make this video for us. 😔😂
I’d love to see a review from you of the XRAY xb4 2020 if you can get your hands on one word of warning like they say if you don’t want to spend the money on an XRAY don’t drive one lol but are XRAY are definitely a tank
An OG pro told me he couldn't upgrade his B74 enough to get it to ride as smooth and fast as his 22x4. For whatever reason, 22x4 is 2 sec faster on the track than B74 ever can be.
Great comparison video 👍👌
thanks for watching! hope things are well and you're enjoying your Kraton 8S!
@@RazorRC Thanks, yes all is well. The K8S is amazing 🤩
I'm so torn between the TLR, AE, and Tekno offerings recently. We race outdoors, and have onlt really raced 2wd up until now. I have a B64 converted into a truck, and was sent home from a race recently with an EB410 buggy but haven't gotten to put that onto a track just yet. Our NW outdoor tracks are tough to drive sometimes for 2wd, so we have decided to give 4wd buggies and trucks a try.
Any pointers or advice for someone just stepping into the world of 4wd?
I’m thinking of getting one of the two but which one is a better buy..
Thanks much for making this video. I was just searching your channel for it since i saw your first video on tlr x-4. I'm going to get the tlr x4 for sure I'm thinking. My only question..
Durability wise do you think they're each up to par with one another? If not which one seems more durable?
Thanks
Not sure, but they both have been pretty durable so far and from what I've seen other people have. I think they both should be fine.
22x4 is durable i have only broken tower but it's my fault hit the bricks on triple
please compare with the latest yokomo kit
Nice one man!
thanks!
My local track is carpet as well. I had a tekno eb410.2. Great car no real complaints. U til i got my 22x4. Its so much faster and easier to drive on carpet than the tekno its almost criminal.
I've only driven the EB410.2 on dirt, and it didn't look like it was going to be a very good carpet car. That's actually the main reason I didn't buy one, it seems more like a dirt car to me and my local track is carpet.
Also the LC Racing 10b5......very similar in design and quality......$359 bucks......
I don't expect a review from you, (which would be nice tho) but try to get your hands on one and look it over and spin it around a bit and tell me what u think.....
Yesss! A review of the LC10B5 would be exactly the eye opener we all need. Rc Driver did a review on the LC12B1 and that little thing is amazing
@@subietech2019 yes it is! I have one also and it's one of my fastest and best handling buggies! On and off the track!
They might as well be the same car just different names?
Is associated still the king? If you’re doing comparison reviews of this platform, you should also test and compare the xb4 and yz4f. Many people believe, myself included, that the xb4 is the 800-pound gorilla and king of 1/10th scale 4wd. Given the similarity of design, you can’t ignore the manufacturers that have been producing this design since 2015.
King of my last 3-way comparison review. I would love to include the XB4 and YZ4SF, would you like to send me $2000? 😄 On a more serious note, I don't have the time and money to buy everything out there, and those brands are a little more difficult to own for a few reasons.
great review and comparison
thanks for stopping by!
What turn motor in the Losi?
13.5t
How does the eb410.2 compare?
will have to see
i have D418, EB410.2 and 22x4 and the 22x4 most easier to drive in local track clay. My d418 fastest laps 19.2, EB410.2 19.4 and 22x7 18.7 same layout and same motor 13.5 then both sold and just sold my D418. Never drove xb4 2020 but i love my 22x4 i think the best 1/10 4wd in the market right now
team associated is a little cheaper just saying

Can you like stop touching the cars for 3seconds once in a while when you're talking in details? I'm trying to pause the video so i can compare and look at the cars side by side in detail without your hands on them.
