Always interested to hear about your lucid dreaming work, Max! I really think the way your mind works makes lucid dreaming useful to you in unique ways. It's always exciting to hear what you're doing with it. Keep up the good work!

    This made me subscribe instantly.
I'm a huge lucid dreamer, in part because of pretty much endless nightmares. The intersection of what you talked about is amazing. We have aphantasia and thus can't visualize our inner world.
I for one am going to think long and hard about this.

I have a simple trick that if learned is an excellent way to combat sleep paralysis or nightmares. close your eyes hard until you hear the bloodflow from closing them harder than usual, then open them. spend 10 minutes a night practicing this technique over a week and you should be able to do it sleeping. doing it while asleep causes you to instantly wake and once you learn to do it actively in any dream you can use the ability to break out of sleep paralysis.

Really interesting. I might have to try this as well as I'm becoming suspect that I may in fact am part of a system and I have horrible communication. Great vid!

Great video Max! Incredible work you are doing and I’m sure this will additionally be extremely beneficial info for anyone else working through DID or related disorders.

~~trigger warning,a description of the formation of my first alter beyond this message, and a description of the childhood trauma that lead to that break~~when I was around 4-5 my first alter popped in,mom said not to name him so he's just the wolf(for an absolute ton of reasons) he originally came from a dream, where he hunted me around my house and tore my throat out. after that I could feel his rage and self-righteous bs creeping into my mind with him returning nightly with new dreams for me to die in(he was always a predator) shortly after that a boy moved in next door who at 12 himself molested me for a little over a year with the nightmares ramping up to night terrors paired with sleep paralysis wasn't even that period that broke my mind, after he moved out a neighbor girl moved in and became my best friend and I never saw him again until one day I and her were playing and he showed up at the gate, I knew from his smile what he intended and I split. part of me wanted to run away part of me wanted him to just go away and the third wanted to jump the gate and kick his ass. The wolf won I disassociated on the spot as I jumped the gate and thrashed him, just completely gone no fear no anger no nothing, after that I fought my alter in my dreams, my methods of lucid dreaming are user friendly but I learned in a trial by fire sort of way. I eventually seized back dominance but being notme for days at a time was so terrifying, even completely disassociated I fought him like hell for ages and once he popped up it was like the flood gates opened I was up to a dozen, then I learned to use my lucid dreaming to destroy the little ones as they popped up, other than me and the wolf the only other alter who didn't reabsorb(willingly or otherwise) is the lighthawk, she represents to me honor devotion redemption happiness and so many other things that it fills my heart and helps me now reach out to become the ideal self that I aspire to, through bonding in dreams our conscious connections to one another have improved significantly to the points where we are friends working together for a chance through hard work to maybe be whole one day. not a complete journey yet but a lifes work in progress, one I'm proud of (:.

I really love that you went forward on the path and started to ask Scott questions. We develop and grow through living life, no matter how different that path is. Because it's OUR path. We have the gifts to move forward but sometimes we need to develop the skills to move forward. You're doing that

Oh yeah, very good video indeed :).
I've been meaning to ask, you mentioned paranoia, I myself have had a few paranoid psychotic episodes. How are you dealing with such issuses?
I've let go of much of it myself but still struggle quite a bit concerning most of my life seeming like some sort of trap lurking in the distance, short term mainly before events or holidays or when going somewhere. But sometimes feeling like dreams have been directed by someone else, and life being controlled someway by others.
Your videos make me all though not touching much on those points, but they do make me feel less lonely and weird, and also bring me more courage into being myself. Thanks a lot for your videos and dedication :)

i love how genuine are when communicating your experiences, i have similar stories i want to share, but i notice that they are "not the normal D.I.D. thing" that i hear about and fear others may think i don't fit in with their club so i bite my tongue... but i have tried to let go of that & just tell my story, speak my truth and let my noodles be free - regardless of what others may or may not think.

Hey Max! Listened to your interview with Charlie Morley on the Lucid Dreaming Summit recently and was absolutely blown away! Don't remember you mentioning your RUclips channel but was sure I recognised the Ra Ra Rabbit so popped by here to check it out. Essentially what blew me away in that interview is what you have talked about here. Such an amazing dream and love your approach and the insights you came back with. Not sure why I didn't subscribe to you before but I will now. Absolutely fascinating stuff. Would love to hear more. Would actually love to chat to you in person but for now I'm just sending loads of love and appreciation for ALL of who you are ;-) and for the content you are creating. Magic! Oh and btw as a result of listening to your interview, along with the others from Day 1 of the summit I became lucid two mornings in a row after years of barely being able to remember my dreams at all, let alone have any more experiences of lucid dreaming. Love the way dreams and ideas open up for us when we talk to others and hear others' experiences. Keep talking.
    We're listening...

SO thrilled to find someone at the intersection of dissociative disorders, lucid dreaming (and related topics), and the trans experience!! Your channel was recommended by someone else at this intersection and I’m so excited! My system is entering a new phase of processing and healing and it’s wonderful to find this channel, as I think it could really help us navigate this phase and give us some tools and food for thought. Thank you so much!

this is fascinating - and i agree, we dissociate quite a bit too when we are angry, upset, scared, etc. we are afraid of our emotions. do you have a link to a video that you can point me to where you talk about how to start/begin lucid dreaming?

    • @TheRaRaRabbit

My sentiments are the same as everyone else here, very interesting stuff! Lucid dreaming’s potential for self healing has always been the thing that keeps me strongly motivated and curious about it all. I am slowly lucid dreaming more and I hope to start doing some self exploration of my own soon.

Can you do a video on how to lucid dream as someone with osdd/did?
I've successfully failed reality checks in dreams, and thought about lucid dreaming in dreams, but it was never enough to become lucid, just fell under dissociation issues I regularly have whilst awake.
