I hope the diagnosis has helped you solidify the understanding that you do deserve and need the help to heal and it’s all valid and real. I think that’s one of the best reasons to seek a diagnosis when possible. You’re very self-aware & intelligent which, in my opinion, will help you be more successful in therapy and healing. It may feel like a slow process but I hope you will give yourself credit for all that you’re doing. I think your videos are helpful for those in your situation as well.
Good luck in your journey - we will be rooting for you!

I have just stumbled upon this video and it's exactly what I needed to hear. It's been over a year since I was diagnosed but I am still struggling with internalized ableism sometimes. Tomorrow, I start with a new therapist and I absolutely have to disclose it because there is no way to address what I want to address otherwise. But everything inside me screams that it's wrong. Even though throughout this year, I have been doing the necessary steps and I have become more whole (I know not everyone wants it but I do), so I can't deny it. But somehow I still manage to. I hope you are better now.

How did it go? Did you manage to disclose? We have only told our therapist recently, and I as a host could not manage to do that, so one of the alters did for us.

Thank you for your very relatable words, especially about denial.

Congratulations, I think getting clear confirmation (external or internal) for DID is very helpful. For me it came internally, with a new alter who instead of the usual hiding and denial started researching and showing us other systems. Being a system which is self aware is highly empowering. It is challenging but it opens so many new options of how to navigate this life together.

I wish I could get an officially diagnose. But sadly, not so many DID/OSDD expert in my country and many of doctors here don't believe that DID/OSDD are real.
My only hope is when I move to USA to live with my bf but I don't know when will that happen.
I experience hearing thoughts that aren't mine.
But we have different names, different genders, different manners, different styles, etc.
They been here since I could remember.
And at first we all just thought that they were imaginary friends in my head cause many of them are and some of them were characters from movies that I watched when I was young.
But we spot that sometimes they speak through my mouth or do stuff through my body.
Every day we argue on what should we eat almost every morning, afternoon, and evening.
Until we learn about DID/OSDD, we started to suspect that I may have OSDD-1b since I barely lost any memory.
I hope one day I will finally find out what we are.

You know who you are without any diagnosis. The diagnosis is just a formality, it's only needed for the official paperwork, it won't clear up all your internal confusion and denial. Your are better off trusting yourself, ask your alters to help prove it to you. They can come up with genious solutions. One of my alters showed me some memories which were very validating, yet another one just said on camera some things which I would never say to prove the point. Ask yours, and see what they come up with.

great video. I've been watching you for some time now. I can understand so much, but not totally as I have a 'disability/disorder' of a different type (things of which can benefit us depending on the context). I always tell people: trust the process. I'm sure you know xD
