Something that so may have not noticed is that Kathie was holding an iPhone 6. And Kathy is usually spotted with an iPhone X and the iPhone 6 was released around the 2014. Quite a while before these characters ever showed. So this shows the chronology of the whole thing as well. The attention to detail is immaculate.

You give people with a corporate vision a huge network and a million dollar budget and they'll make a cash grab, but you give people with a creative vision and a low/mid budget, and they'll make the most passionate and intricate shows you've ever seen. The designs of the characters and every location is oddly psychedelic.
Maybe I'm reading waaaay too into it, but I think it's reminiscent of clockwork orange and also 80's movies
Brandon is actually really, _really_ good with lighting.
Every set is perfectly lit. During the dinner scene at the Stencils, there are these cascading green and purple lights that make the expressions and movements of the characters feel a little more exaggerated, by making the whole scene look more cartoony.
The costumes are also super overexaggerated. The bright, blond, 60s wigs and outfits really help with that. Especially with how well-picked the actors are.
@Ma. Isabel Tan-Suarez campy, British, and uncanny. Set in modern times with influences from all the eras. Like John Waters directing a 80s slasher/horror comedy with the plot of a "it's the end of the fkn world", natural born killers.

A part of me believes that the Mingeworthy's colors being pastel symbolizes that the life they were reaching for was almost like a fantasy. Usually pastels are used to be welcoming and calming, but can be seen as unsettling due to how bright and artificial it can look. They tried, but their criminal life catches up to them, breaking the fantasy of normalcy.

The Mingeworthys were introduced 5 years ago. When they first appeared, they said they were British for a little over 7 years. This series probably takes place in or around 2009.
