Legally Blonde is one of my favorite movies because it defied so many film stereotypes of the time. Elle’s sorority supported Elle’s decision and helped her get into Harvard. Elle was gorgeous and though a little naive, she was still kind to those around her and smart in her own way. Finally she never compromised her female friendships or personality to further her career which ultimately leads to her success. Also need I say that Elle got into Harvard ON HER OWN and Warner had to BUY his way in.
This!!! All of this. I cringed a bit when they called Elle shallow and vapid, because I feel like she was anything but that. She had so much substance to offer beneath the surface of what others saw in her, and like you said, did everything with her own flavor and flair. It was never that Elle “became” smart, she was ALWAYS smart. She was just given the opportunity to apply her intelligence and work ethic towards studying law after fashion. I’ve read so many reddit threads that have said that if Elle were a real person, with the resume that she had AND a near perfect LSAT score, she very much could have actually gotten into Harvard.
Honestly she kind of reminds me of Christian Small, how he's highly competent, brilliant and unapologetically himself in every setting. I love that about both of them

me next time i see my nieces/nephews: "i'm just a youth such as yourself enjoying the vibes of today. as well."
I love how Trixie is narrating like this wasn't a cultural reset
“I got the vax Jesus Christ”

She has my vote
My brazilian ass can't relate 😭
and you said, 'yes?'
@@paraglmao holy of course
Comedy gold right here. 😂🤣😂🤣
'Learning stuff and things'
'It's my light bill!'
'if you have blonde hair, you can not only achieve your goals, but make friends with brunette people on the way'
Honestly Katya is killing me this episode
The Learning Stuff and Things killed me 😂😂😂😂
"Selma Blair is like 'What's gay???'" Best read on a background character's facial expression EVER!
The irony is that Elle woods got in Harvard through her smarts, and Werner got in through money.
and it’s not even like she barely passed which is hard enough the result she got on the LSAT was so good. she probably got a better result then most people at the school
Reese Witherspoon month would be such a serve though.
lets talk Wild... who is having that conversation
No one:
Trixie: "Lesbian."
she read my minddd 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Damn what a genius option for a musical adaptation. There are so many scenes where it's like why aren't they doing a musical number here
"I'm just a youth such as yourself" I love watching these two
Did y’all already have the gals watch Carol with cate blanchet it’s iconic
omhygoddd they MUST!!! i just know katya would live
This NEEDS to happen. Two biological women reacting to a lesbian movie? Yes please!
omg PLEASE they have to watch carol
Yes please would love to watch them react
18:23 Recent law school grad--can confirm that we watched Elle questioning Chutney in my Evidence class when we were discussing relevancy.
Jennifer Coolidge
Edit: these replies are everything
I agree
I do not object
I want a hotdog real bad
exactly

Having Trixie straight up quote the musical with “I saw it in last Mays vogue” was everything i knew i needed
“I think the problematic nature of those things is probably infinite.” Lmao, spot on perfect answer!
Katya: short brown hair can't be trusted in this universe.
Me, with a short brown hair: fair enough, I wouldn't trust me either.
And as someone with a perm, I can tell you that I am a liar.
It's okay, Trixie called me a liar
I feel you! I have short brown hair too. ( p.s. I'm growing it out tho.)
@@That1spookybich I can't grow my hair out, I always end up cutting it, but I would definitely color it
“Dress for the grandchildren you want” lol
I appreciate the work that these women do to be real about gays being rude, dressing in problem patterns, and not caring about whatever you have going on. I love that for us. I will not put on a crop top for you and tell you that your small business has the potential to thrive. Leave me alone.
Defy stereotypes!!! Tell them that their small business is gonna fail and wear neon flip flops with and emoji pattern suit.
I love Katya's reaction to the Percocet line
“This is before 9/11 so everything was fair game” - I can’t 😂
Everything about this movie is iconic but “I’m never gonna be good enough for you am I” is truly the moment because we all have to have that moment of realization with our flop exes
Are they selling those Trixie and Katya pillows because I'd throw money at that
I know I need it
Literally!!! I need!
me, too!!
ERRRRRG SAAAAAME
enrolling next semester in KAT101, “the interesting nature of shapes and colours” with prof. zamolodchikova
The fact that Elle got a 179 on the LSAT and the highest score is a 180, she's an icon.
Reese Witherspoon's performance is immaculate.
Reese actually is wearing a wig in the last two scenes of the movie bc she had already shaved her head for her next movie role!
should have done legally bald... yet another representation for trixie and katya
@@julietteferrars7739 LMAO not legally bald
What was her next movie role?
The importance of being earnest
Yeah you could tell too. Until I found that out I could never figure out why the end looked so weird.
"Comedy equals tragedy plus perm." Words to live by.
2:42 Trixie quoting the musical "I saw it in last May's Vogue" instead of the movie quote is gay culture
I love that when Trixie CACKLES you can tell they are in a huge empty studio warehouse.... the echo of her omg its so funny hahaha
Love the fact that Katya knows the girlies want her too
I would 100% watch an unedited version of them watching the entire movie
“L.S.A.T. = Learning Stuff And Things “ -Katya. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Katya: “He is a quintessential top to bottom bag of douche” 💯💯💯
"ROAD TRIP!" Gold, just gold haha.
I’ll be forever grateful for this movie for getting me through the Nursing Board Exams! I became an RN because of Ms. Woods.
How did we skip over the fact that the, “Works every time!” Hairdresser is Love Connie?!?!
WHAT
🤯
Selma Blair is like “what’s gay?”
LMFAOO
The squeaks from Trixies boots when she moves is the mood I need today
Katya’s baboon mating ritual “bend and snap” was truly everything
I’d love to see these two watch Mean Girls 😂
I should've known I was a lesbian when me, a child tomboy, watched this movie over and over. Especially the Harvard entrance video scene. Blondes are still my type 🤙
This movie is SO gay that women want her and men want to be her 😅
I went to law school (in Australia, even) and I can confirm they did play the courtroom scene from Legally Blonde in class. Shout out to the TC Beirne School of Law for their outstanding contribution to allyship for the cohort of 2016.
“Anybody with a perm... is a liar”
How tf did this make me lose it so hard
I JUST REALIZED trixie said "last May's vogue" which is what Elle says in the musical not the movie. A true Legally Blonde the Musical stan.
I like that even though Elle says that "orange shouldn't be considered a substitute for pink" or something like that, she buys an orange laptop because there probably isn't a pink laptop on sale)))
