    There is no Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey Buckingham. Lindsey is criminally underrated as a guitarist and artist. The guitar in Go Your Own Way is one of the best ever.

    • @davidmiles533
      @davidmiles533 2 года назад +10

      He’s not underrated by guitar players. The guitar in Go Your Own Way is more than one guitar and that’s the key in many of their recordings. I’ve seen them live 5 times and 4 at the Forum. When Christine wasn’t drinking…and was on that night…much better. Lindsey is a very innovative player but I stop short of calling him a genius. I think his style comes from his early era and his banjo base.

    • @patrickb5783
      @patrickb5783 2 года назад +4

      I think Stevie got him kicked out of the ba d, which is too bad. That Bandhan some awesome guitarists, from Peter Green to Danny Kirwin, and Bob Welch.

      @@patrickb5783 - Stevie Nicks comes across as demanding.
      Without Peter Green leading the way, Fleetwood Mac wouldn't have become hugely successful in America - just as Green was preparing to leave.

    • @SuperDrJeckyl
      @SuperDrJeckyl 2 года назад +11

      @@patrickb5783 Yeah, I think it was pretty clear it was Stevie who gave them an ultimatum it was him or her and they chose her. Most people focus on Stevie in front but I'd say it was Lindsay who has been the innovator behind the scenes that made them great in their time. I've seen many specials about Fleetwood Mac and interviews and it was always mentioned the others were content to keep the formula but Lindsay was the one coming up with new ideas.

      @@supermale789Under the Main Title to the concert PRESS "more" & you'll see a horizontal list of each song named "Chapters". You'll then see "more" a 2nd time. Never ever can be replaced just because no one can I have ever seen can you feel his passion you can feel his happiness and pain and anger through his guitar there’s nobody like him there’s a Lotta good guitar players but this band has told us their entire life story through their music not just singing a songStages of their lives can anybody name a band 5 piece band they basically wrote a book through the 50 years of their lives together stronger than any family blood family not only are each one of them a very important part to make them unique is they are they don’t even get enough credit and I bet most people don’t even know their background story if you could tell a complete stranger to listen to all the albums as they’re made and just give them a title saying that they’re not blood family members but their couples that started off as teenagers it went through their entire lives through the music divorce fights break ups heart ache and still be able to stay together because that’s the only way they could express their feelings I would believe that they did it not for the money but for the need to vent without being physical but through The writing into a musical diary and they let the World read they’re open book so you all could listen to their story they definitely should’ve been in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame way earlier than they were put in if they are going to still tour which I think they are I can’t even get myself to go watch because Lindsey‘s not there in the see other strangers up on the stage whether they’re famous or not with the four members and not Lindsay it’s just absolutely garbage not worth it and you can see and hear that the passion isn’t quite there that sucks the spark has died and you can hear it through their last tour too many people on the stage they’re all getting old Stevie Nicks is forcing herself to be loud when she doesn’t need to because her tone of voice doesn’t go very far up or down it just kind of stays flat and just like she’s if she’s screaming and she can’t hit the high notes so she adds in a bunch a little riffs here in there and I don’t think it’s necessary to have the back up singers and keyboard and guitar extras on stage those are basically Steveie‘s back up voice to blend her somewhat flat voice And she doesn’t have the flutter in her voice anymore like in the earlier days she still good but she needs to back off a little bit try and get some coaching to see if she can get any range back they’re old and they’re bashing them from the musical talent is still phenomenal

    Listening to this band at 60 still transports me to those intense 16 days of my life. A young romantic, idealist, fervent believer in Love and Freedom. Today after traveling around the world a lot guiding the helm of my life, leaving behind many with whom I shared my most sublime feelings and today thanks to someone who appeared in my life to fill it with illusion and joy without ceasing to be a human. responsible has made me believe in love again. Rhianon was the song that I recorded and dedicated to myself and I came back to Fleetwood Mac..... I love you guys what good music you make. My destiny led me to live 10 years in California and work in 15 states of the union, during which time I learned to love this country, an immense mixture of races and colors, God Bless America. I am Peruvian by birth, my wife died in California and my son was born there, many reasons not to forget what I experienced. Thank you Fleetwood Mac.

    What I love about "The Chain" so much is that all 5 of them wrote it and every live performance videos I've watched are different renditions. I love that added flair each of them put into it. Powerful song. In fact, it's my ring tone. My Momma raised me on "Rumours". She played that album for years. It spoke to her and I reaped the benefits of being exposed to such awesome music ❤ At 45 years old, I'm exploring all of them as solo artists and other collaborations etc. Love music 🎶

      I was looking through comments and I almost thought I’d written this! I am 45 too, exactly as old as Rumors…and my first memory ever is being in a playpen while my mother played “Dreams” on repeat and read the lyrics trying to learn them. I was a baby but I remember. I absolutely love the fact that “The Chain” was literally written by all 5 of them…that says it all. Excellent ring tone choice…mine is “Edge Of Seventeen” lol. 🙂

      Thank you for the list of songs!!! I'll see them next February in Austin tx but I was wondering if they will also play Steve Nick's music like stand back or edge of seventeen but I see that it won't happened

    My favourite bits are when the mysterious 6th member of the band randomly pipes up with a big scream from the audience. She is clearly having a big night out.

    Got to be up there amongst my favourite groups of all time. Not only the incredible talent, but the mutual respect, the agelessness, the sheer joy in creating, performing and sharing, here in 2014. Stevie Nicks here is 66 and Christine McVie (here on keyboards also) is 71. The Butterfields are. Well check it out, if you so wish! Rocking it to shake the floorboards and the roof timbers. And Peter Green, who was lead (and legendary "Hall of Fame" guitarist and lead vocalist, THANK YOU! (R.I.P. and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your profoundly informed inspiration with "Albatross" in 1969 which started 5 + decades of immense pleasure for us all) "drew den" THANK YOU!

    Thank you so much for sharing this video!!!! I've watched it (almost) twice now! Almost finished with the second time seeing it, and bravo!!! This band never ceases to amaze me with their magic and endless talent! Plus it feels so good to have Christine back with the band! Again, thank you for capturing this great legendary band live!! ❤️

      +draw den (ed n) :) I LOVED it!!! Watching it again as we speak! ❤️ and I'm sure they don't mind!!! I've always been in love and captivated by Stevie's voice but other than listening to "Landslide" and a couple of other classic songs of hers, I haven't really looked that deep into Stevie's career or Fleetwood Mac as well; very recently I discovered what a great band Fleetwood Mac is and always will be, thanks to your video here and many others posted here on RUclips! :) There'll never be another as legendary of a band that Fleetwood Mac is! And your video will introduce younger generations to what real music should be! Cheers to you as well my friend! X ☺️

    As far as the new Fleetwood Mac goes, I think this is the best lineup of musicians since Mick and John had Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, and Danny Kirwan in the band. Of course it's a different type of music, but Christine McVie's ever so elegant vocals totally save the day. She has an eerily beautiful tone to her voice which makes all her vocals completely unique and sensitive.

    I can't honestly say their "problems" were solved when 'Christie' came back - BUT it sure as hell put "them all" back together the "right way" - I was musician / seasoned DJ of genres...when 'Rhiannon' made them famous....... they are back their best and it's been ""10 years" since this concert "" they have a whole lot to tell and show their kids; grandkids; and the world........ they're in my collection forever
