I think it’s best that way. The moment when Arthur’s making his final ride, while “That’s the way is it” plays, he just accepts that his time is past, as is the Wild West. All he wanted to do was help some people he cared about make a better life for themselves, and to go out fighting for them. When the music started I was smiling and laughing the whole time. Then the action prompt popped up and I was like “wait I actually get to build it?? It’s not just a cutscene??” And that’s when I knew this was the best game I ever played. This game is literally a Wild West simulator and that’s not a bad thing. This game is a masterpiece.
You knew this was the best game ever after 7 whole chapters?😅 I agree tho, I love Arthur’s character and I had fun playing as him. But John Marston’s Epilogue (I’m still playing it) is no longer a game for me, its an experience.
Red Dead Redemption 3: you play as a new character that dies in Blackwater at the end to help your gang escape then play as Arthur in the epilogue and you miss the new rdr3 character and don’t want to play as Arthur 😂
@Ooga Booga nah i wanna play as uncle in his prime as 'the one shot kid' and at the end you're in the doctors office and he alerts you that you have *L U M B A G O* and it just fades to black
No matter what I will always miss Arthur. He was a bad man and he knew that, but he still had morals and a code. He didn't want to pointlessly kill, he believed in the old Dutch. But these scenes helped me cope with my loss.
2 things in the game that made me cried: 1. Arthur's horse death 2. Hearing John said "It's over" after credits and I know that is false af. It's not over. It's far far from over. And soon John and Abi will be dead not long after RDR2 ended.
Despite dying a slow and painful death stricken from lumbago, Uncle really pushed John into making something beautiful. Abagail came running back when she heard about a big old house, and Uncle is who John can thank for that.
@@johncostello625 It's because they were the most positive missions, all the other ones are serious and some are sad and then you get red dead depression

Berzerk Llama Doesn’t really matter what scope they arbitrarily set. They said whatever to try and propagate MTX sales in their games. That’s the business they are in along with most AAA devs now. Even Red Dead Online will be littered with them, same goes for Fallout 76, same happened with the newest Assassins Creed, same that will happen with the latest CoD. Statistics show that these type of sleazy sales earn money no matter how much people don’t like them.
After just all the stress from the main story this made me feel so good just getting to do something fun and peaceful with John. While literally laying the foundation for the first game
One of the most sweetness moments in this game, it means lot cause’ this moment means a part of the John’s redemption, John was trying to forget all the chaotic past with the band, just like Arthur tells him. A life without problems, just centred in his family, seriously this game is a masterpiece
I like to think that Arthur wakes up somehow because one of the Indians stopped by and cured him. He then goes with Sadie after the rest of the game is beat and just settles down states away slowly coming to John.
This scene is beautiful because of Arthurs sacrifice. All of his struggles, in the end, was to ensure that John could know a peaceful way of life, even if it wasn't for the longest time. The fact that we see the gang widdled down to just three members but they are still making the most of their lives regardless of Dutch's "plans" showed Arthurs sacrifice wasn't in vain.
I like to think that the Blue Jay watching John build is Arthur. Makes sense since canonically his outfit is blue, Uncle talks about the idea of reincarnation, and he's watching John do what he couldn't; have a home and a family. Don't think Rockstar would add it without a reason either ;)
Yes it is and unfortunately i see a lot people shitting on it , thinking they're smart . Bunch o' goddamn rats . This game is something special , not perfect , but so memorable
When the "Arthur" blue jay appears: 6:53 6:55 7:00 7:04 7:08 7:21 7:23 7:27 7:31 (in far background on left corner) 7:40 (briefly) 7:41 8:04 (next to the chimney fireplace briefly) 8:16 on top beam of newly uprighted frame 9:15 above John as he begins roof tiling (last appearance) If you listen hard enough you can also hear a bird chirping in the background.
BuzzFeed woman: "I wrote a blog post about why I f*cking hate video games. Because this is what it does. It appeals to like the male fantasy." The male fantasy: 5:58
When I played Red Dead Redemption I always wondered why John had Uncle live with him and his family and after watching this video now I know why. John probably wouldn't have a home nor Abigail and his son without Uncle's help.
I remember always being confused why John kept Uncle around when he always threatened to kill him in RDR1. He even threatens to kill him in RDR2 multiple times. But when Uncle gets kidnapped by the skinners, John freaks out and is desperately trying to save him. Think it adds depth to their relationship.
The epilogue feels like a completely different game. After all the betrayal and tragedy in Chapters 3 - 6 it just feels so feel good and wholesome with a little hint of swashbuckling revenge action. Rockstar could've released it as a DLC and probably would've benefitted from it in terms of making more money but they didn't. It's so great!
Lol the requirements for a "gold" medal on this mission is to hit the nails with at least 80% accuracy (a nudge at themselves for making almost every mission require accuracy
I loved this part of the game. Moments like these make a great game even more amazing. A break from the chaos and drama, followed by a beautiful scene with friends working and having fun together, complete with an uplifting song and booze. This and Lenny/Arthur getting drunk are the best moments.
When I first went through the game I expected the building part to just be some cutscene you could skip, but making it one of them “interactive cutscenes” made me like the game so much more
I swear this game is the ultimate cowboy boomer simulation. Fishing, hunting, building a home and look after your own horsepower by cleaning it and maintaining it.
The game is also an educational program. Behave the way you want to be seen and treated by your environment. Here too, pixel animals become an almost breathing, living creature that screams in pain when you hurt it.
only thing aggravates me is how they nailed the joists. you dont nail dow. like that you either block them in or nail through the other board into the joist when they nail those nails they just putting a nail for nothing
It's just to make the animation easier on the team, the angle that you have to hammer the nails into the studs is probably harder to animate than just going from the top.
This is the most beautiful game in terms of story, you would think you end up with the character dead and finishing the game with a bad feelling, but they give you the chance of rebuilding someone lifes right after as a reward for the rightneous choices of the dead character and giving you a fullfiling sense of worthiness.... FANTASTIC !!!!!
@@bsibbs2667 Not really, Arthur Died a better person so that john could live, consequently also making John a better person, in the start of the game John wanted to be respected as Arthur and throughout the game Arthur slowly becomes a better person wanting to have John life, with a family and not that much heat on him, basically John saved Arthur Spirit and Arthur saved John life
It’s especially beautiful because none of this would happen without Arthur. He gave John the courage and willpower to be a good man, a good father and a good husband. It’s just so tragic how John wasn’t able to escape his past, no matter how hard he tried. But staying true to the name of the game, in the end Arthur and John find redemption and they both die knowing.
As much as I feel sad about not being able to play as Arthur anymore, I love how John is shown tryna change and live as an honest man with is family. That epilogue is gold
This scene really shows that John actually had a chance, and Arthur's sacrifice might have really meant something. It's so bittersweet knowing that no matter what, they were all doomed for their pasts in the changing world.

Honestly we needed all of these positive and upbeat scenes this after the bombshell which was the ending tbh
If you played the first game then this scene becomes an even bigger kick in the balls.
also the ending wasnt a bombshell if you played rdr1 you saw Arthurs death a mile away.
No matter what I will always miss Arthur. He was a bad man and he knew that, but he still had morals and a code. He didn't want to pointlessly kill, he believed in the old Dutch. But these scenes helped me cope with my loss.
Since you have all the Infinity Stones, use the Time Stone to bring back Arthur!
2 things in the game that made me cried:
1. Arthur's horse death
This felt so real. I really was worry and thinking about paying off the debt later realizing that this is a game and I laughed
