@@shush4151 Okay but RDR2 isn't centered around reincarnation, and theres an eagle flying when Rains Fall overlooks the land during the credits.
@@voicelessglottalfricative6567 yeah and? The eagle is also a symbol of the native Americans. Furthermore, The major Buddhist traditions accept that the reincarnation of a being depends on the past karma and merit (demerit) accumulated, and that there are six realms of existence in which the rebirth may occur after each death, this means that it couldn't be your spirit animal. as a carpenter who frames houses for a living, this is my favourite sequence of any game. But some things drive me crazy especially how they just keep driving nails straight down in the middle of the joist and then the joist is just magically nailed to the ledger.
I think those old homes have the joists housed into the bearers, idk doesn't seem like the weight would transfer well down to the piers. I know a bunch of modern steel subfloors still have housed joists but I thought it was common practice to lay the joists on top of the bearers.
Also I cringed at the strip flooring having joins over a void with no bearer to support it. Same with leaving the flooring out in the rain

Kinda, but in this case it's a gag since they didn't include swimming in rdr1 so they just kept it as John can't swim

Despite dying a slow and painful death stricken from lumbago, Uncle really pushed John into making something beautiful. Abagail came running back when she heard about a big old house, and Uncle is who John can thank for that.
The house building mission was like a breath of fresh air, it just felt relaxing and starting a new life
It's sad to think that he had only 3 years to live the life he wanted for his family
I was sad when I started thinking about it, and I started thinking, and if I had ended up different with him living with his family in the end

Just pretend that it’s a different universe and rdr1 never happens
3? It was 11, they just found him. The first game doesn't take place til 1911, whike Arthur died in 1899, so it was about 11-12 years

Same but I still getting over john aswell
Forever in our heart, rip Arthur 1899
Codermations I feel like his death had more closure than Johns. He essentially redeemed himself from his wrongdoings (depending on your decisions). He went from a ruthless outlaw to a selfless friend that did what he could to right his wrongs. John unfortunately died an unheroic death and was avenged by Jack eventually.
@@cinezurdo I don't think John's death was that bad, he was giving time to Abigail and Jack to get away

That’s what a lot of us love about John and Arthur. Two hard asses when they need to be, but also super playful around the people they consider close.
After just all the stress from the main story this made me feel so good just getting to do something fun and peaceful with John. While literally laying the foundation for the first game
I wish with my entire heart that arthur could have been there with them for this. he deserves it.
He was for sure that Blue Jay sittin' by them while they all worked.
I'm sure that's him, and the Uncle talk about reincarnation with John a few days later so... I'm sure that's not a coincidence
Yeah and then see John shot up while his son takes revenge later on.
I like to think there a timeline that he didn't get sick and imagine the dialogue between the guys when building the house.
I think it’s best that way. The moment when Arthur’s making his final ride, while “That’s the way is it” plays, he just accepts that his time is past, as is the Wild West. All he wanted to do was help some people he cared about make a better life for themselves, and to go out fighting for them. He knew he didn’t have a place in the new civilized world, so he came to terms with his life, and his place in the grand scheme of things. Really, I think it’s all any of us could ask for, to make sense and come to terms with it all.
No matter, what the weather...

One of the most sweetness moments in this game, it means lot cause’ this moment means a part of the John’s redemption, John was trying to forget all the chaotic past with the band, just like Arthur tells him.

This scene is beautiful because of Arthurs sacrifice. All of his struggles, in the end, was to ensure that John could know a peaceful way of life, even if it wasn't for the longest time. The fact that we see the gang widdled down to just three members but they are still making the most of their lives regardless of Dutch's "plans" showed Arthurs sacrifice wasn't in vain.

Genuinely made me happy this mission

- after guarma
- last mission
MrBuzz yes riding after Burma with unshaken playing is incredible
Especially the music
Honestly we needed all of these positive and upbeat scenes this after the bombshell which was the ending tbh
If you played the first game then this scene becomes an even bigger kick in the balls.
also the ending wasnt a bombshell if you played rdr1 you saw Arthurs death a mile away.
No matter what I will always miss Arthur. He was a bad man and he knew that, but he still had morals and a code. He didn't want to pointlessly kill, he believed in the old Dutch. But these scenes helped me cope with my loss.
Since you have all the Infinity Stones, use the Time Stone to bring back Arthur!
2 things in the game that made me cried:
1. Arthur's horse death
2. Hearing John said "It's over" after credits and I know that is false af. It's not over. It's far far from over. And soon John and Abi will be dead not long after RDR2 ended.
This part of the story will always stay with me. By the time I had finished the game, and had talked about it with my friends, a new summer had come upon me. It was the best time of my life before my parent's divorce, after a 30 year marriage, a couple months later. There was no better time in the world before that period of my life. Less responsibility, avid get-togethers, and lots of un-practically used time in between. That, coupled with the Pandemic, broke me somewhat. Lord knows i'm trying to get back to who I was, but it is the bittersweet moments, such as recollecting on a time when everything was perfect, that fuel me to get back to that feeling of unstoppable hope and love. This text stands as a totem of my undying effort.
5:48 I like Charles' subtle pat on the back on John when he says 'cmon we should get on with this'. Agreeing with John that Uncle is annoying but also acknowledging that the work has to get done soon. Great character and great at defusing the situation.

Every day I seek the level of happiness the real estate man has when John Marston presents him with pre-approved credit.
All the most beloved missions in this game are the ones that build character relationships and have moments of levity from situations. There are those like the Braithwaite Manor raid and My Last Son for their spectacle, but this and the one where you take Lenny for a drink are beloved for the character growth you see and feel the real dynamics these characters have.
the braithewaite raid is an impressive spectacle but its also very satisfying to see the gang acting as a solid unit and really executing a plan because they're so invested in getting jack; its probably the last time we see the van der linde gang as a proper family before everything falls apart
At Rockstar HQ: -Why did you put that bird in this mission?
-Idk, looks nice
-Yeah, it sure does, leave it

Andres Mosquera Lmaooo thats about right
Nah that was totally a concious desicion, but I'm not sure why it'd represent Arthur
Come on bruh, it's rockstar we are talking about...
I think if any animal was Arthur reincarnated, it would be the animals depending on your honor. (A coyote/buck)
@@cosmic_puke nah arthurs good spirit is a eagle, you can find at his grave.
“Come live with me in an outhouse I wouldn’t ask my worst enemy to shit in” I hope there is a time in this life when I can use that line.
Me too
You guys sound like you're excited to live in a shit shack.
This whole sequence was wholesome and really made me smile and the fact that Charles helped build John's house was awesome. He is definitely one of my favorite characters.
This part of the game was the perfect come down from all the heartbreak. The best way to wind down and relax my heart
I’m just going to think that the events of RDR 1 happened in an alternate universe and that John and his family lived happily ever after on his ranch
Whenever I replay RDR1, I stop playing after reuniting with the family and revisiting Bonnie Macfarlane, lol
Well the events before John's death and the army invasion never happened.
I like to think that Arthur wakes up somehow because one of the Indians stopped by and cured him. He then goes with Sadie after the rest of the game is beat and just settles down states away slowly coming to John.
@@theoddcondor4715 nah he's definitely dead charles buried him
E K Yeah, and Charles and Sadie would occasionally visit for an annual reunion.
“I left uncle armed to the teeth back at the ranch”
Uncle:Sleeping while holding a bolt action

Most unique story game I’ve ever played from the little details to the massive landscape and to the crisp gameplay.
This right here is like a top 5 gaming moment for me.
He protecc
he attacc
but most importantly,
He Remodeled that Old Shacc
wow so funny
I can't tell if this guy's being sarcastic or not-
wow so funny
wow so funny
wow so funny
'No matter any weather, we're together'
Kind of almost brings a tear to my eye.
My favourite character trait about uncle I’ve noticed is that he always tells the truth, without fear of repercussions or upsetting someone. He doesn’t sugar coat. Like he does with John at the beginning about the original shack of Beecher’s hope, and with Dutch in campfire interactions. Apart from John, Hosea and later Arthur, Uncle was one of the first to see that Dutch was on a downfall and wasn’t afraid of telling him.
This story is just outta this world😩😩 never felt soo much emotions for any video game characters before 💯
Had to be the most peaceful and most heart warming thing I’ve seen.... especially when he writes the letter goddamn this game is a fucking masterpiece
Yes it is and unfortunately i see a lot people shitting on it , thinking they're smart . Bunch o' goddamn rats . This game is something special , not perfect , but so memorable
I like to think that the Blue Jay watching John build is Arthur. Makes sense since canonically his outfit is blue, Uncle talks about the idea of reincarnation, and he's watching John do what he couldn't; have a home and a family. Don't think Rockstar would add it without a reason either ;)
That’s beautiful! I hope it is.
CaptainUseless yeah it watches him over every min
At which point do you see hin
If you had low honor as arthur the blue jay wouldnt be there

What makes this a whole hell of alot better is the fact that the song that plays over this was made for this part of the game.
Uncle: John Marston You have a Home
John: and so do You
That was heart warming and heart breaking at the same time
