So Chris Rock went to Rick and Hov and said "hey, you should do my boy Ice's song 99 problems"....where he get off thinking it was his to suggest? Something still don't seem right with this story. I think Ice was trying to be cool and not really go in on Hov or Rick. The publishing details were a little fuzzy. Seemed like a few times he wanted to say something, thought about it then pivoted or just shut it down.
I don't think he's angry at Rubin, Rock, or Hov. I think he looks back at taking an upfront deal for his publishing as a mistake.
That's why he compared it to Ice Cube and TMNT movie. T didn't get a cheque because he didn't have his publishing rights, Cube got paid because he had his.
