I think another thing that elevated Nas diss track is he was the only one who wasn’t scared to go at Jay during that particular time, the Roc was getting it in then.

Dame is still selling the responses to the "beef" which is his only way of being relevant. He doesn't get invites no more to them parties and big meetings because truthfully, he isn't relevant in those businesses. In the last 20 interviews of dame, I have never heard him say *** "Hey the Jay questions are less important now can we talk about A, B or C which is what I am on right now?" ... Naaa.. He doesn't why? because he is right there in the interview with nothing meaningful to sell but his responses to anything Jay-Z. He is not the first businessman to get ducked by a partner, but right now, he is among those who couldn't get back up because they never were that prolific in the first place. It was either riding on some luck or getting carried.
Dame said this in an interview with Allhiphop that we lost and we didn't like it. I didn't speak to Jay for like 2 weeks. We were undefeated up until then and he says Nas went against Jay at his height. And he says Nas is God when it comes to battle rap.
Dame always gave Nas his props! And he always will Cam'ron and all of them are from the same place!
Nas wasn’t really up at that time, that’s an important fact. He was Nas and had been that dude but he kinda seemed on the decline before Ether. When Jay dropped ‘Superugly’ everybody said it was a wrap for Nas that he couldn’t meet Jay Z’s level. No one thought he would be the victor, except me, of course. So it was seen as the underdog toppling the king.
