I checked out the maple version recently and the birds looked terrible to me. Sort of an ugly grey color and not nearly as good looking as the rosewood version.

Every time PRS releases a new guitar, I most look forward to hearing you demo it and the amazing riffs/songs you've written to show each guitar's potential. So, I got a Silver Sky Se in March and have yet to pickup my Fender again. These things are AMAZING! I got to get the nylon blue and maple option now!! Wow!
Now these are some much better colors in my opinion. I am lucky enough and humbled to own a core model. It took me years to save up for it, and I love it so much, but these SE guitars are no slouches either.❤
Finally? Saw John playing this one at a concert. Excited. Love my other SE Silver Sky, but may have to sell it to get this one (as I'm partial to maple boards).
If it came in white I’d be running down to my local PRS dealer right now. Please add a white finish to maple neck version of Silver Sky SE ASAP - they will fly off the shelf. Latest SEs are impressive so bravo PRS.

One of the best Players alive today. The Silver Sky is the best SSS guitar made today. Took a iconic instrument and put it on steroids. The best playing sounding Strat guitar at any price point.
sorry to say, but this probably ain't gonna happen, PRS never cared about the left-handed players, they don't have lefty versions for most of their models

Love the look of these. Tonally I like the single coils. Nice warm tone but still the single coil spank. But it's not ear piercing like a lot of single coils.

Never thought I'd see a Korean nick of a USA guitar sell for more new than the original fetches used but here we are... My USA PRS is my favorite guitar... I'd go with the USA strat for the resale value. I paid $550 for mine about 3 years back from a local music store... I've been a USA prs owner for a decade though and it still gets more play than my strat so there might be something to it... Guess I'll have to play one!
Honestly, if I end up getting one of these in this color I'll bring it to a Automotive Pinstriper and get some black pin striping done on it. Something cool in the point of the pick guard and an outline of the top body shape.
I really really really like it. personally though, I would REALLY love PRS to do a 22 or 24 fret 25.5" scale guitar. I have a core and a SE but would love a longer scale for variation.
@Harrysound ok, try hunting down a PRS SE Torero. 25.5" scale. Made 2010 through 2015, according to Uncle Google. Edit: or a current Holcomb 6. 24 fret stoptail 25.5" scale.
