I've seen this aircraft, in fact I've flown it. I was a 757 Captain at Eastern Airlines when we got this airplane. The 757s were fantastic performing aircraft and a pleasure to fly.
Came here as fast as I could when I saw “757”
The 757 has always been an amazing aircraft. should have been updated and made a MAX instead of the 737. 👍👍👍. 11-29-21
757 is such a beautiful plane and nothings beats the 757s.
Great update, thanks for your time and effort educating the public at large.
I've had some great flights in a 757 including in China. Great aircraft and glad to see there are still a few operating.
Delta and fedex still have a ton!

Love seeing this bird when spotting at Kphx. Fortunate to have caught it landing one time. Thanks for the video Simple Flying!
It's ironic that Honeywell owns a 757. Back in the 1980s when 767 and 757 designs were being developed, they placed an ad in Aviation Week showing all the Boeing airplanes in which they supplied components--except the 757. When I visited them in Phoenix a few week later, I gave some higher-ups a copy of the ad with a large note: "Where's the 757??" It worked. Next month's ad showed a 757 nudged into the fleet. As it turned out the 757 made more money for them than the 767, which still makes me smile.
I live near PHX and see this plane often. I remember once seeing it fly low over my house when it did a Fly By of a small General Aviation airport only a couple miles from where I live. I also got to see it at EAA Airventure back in 2018 up in Wisconsin. It's a neat plane.
This is so awesome, thanks for sharing
I've always know of this 757 testbed, but didn't knowe it belongs to Honeywell, thanks for the info.
I have never seen or had known of this particular aircraft until I saw this clip. Now I know ! Thanks Simply Flying !
I see this rare bird weekly when I visit KPHX. It’s usually out on the stand looking great. Never seen her in action though, one day.
Honeywell arospace is a division of Honeywell international inc which is based in Charlotte nc.
Thanks for the insights team!
Thank you for sharing.
Love these vids! Ty! 🙏🏻
Thanks for the feedback! - TB
I didnt even know Honeywell had a 757 until this video.. so i have NOT seen this aircraft before lol
It's a good plane really good plane why aren't they building new models of it ,757 and the 767 🙂❤👍😎
Saw it up close as it was departing PHX...very cool aircraft. Looks like TWA!
I saw the 757 in PHX it was pretty interesting to see
I saw this plane taking off from Portland, Maine, US (KPWM) on August 6, 2021. I was on my work’s roof (4 stories up about a mile from the runway) and heard this thing roaring by. PWM gets a few military aircraft and some freight MD-11s and 757s, but this was rare to see a 757 taking off. I couldn’t tell what the livery was all I could think of was air India from a distance but I pulled up flight radar 24 and realized what it was. Unfortunately I was on the opposite side of the test bed pylon.
Being a pheonix resident I've actually seen this at the terminal in sky harbour! I was young at the time and the only reason I remember it today is the fact I was so confused by the third engine.
Amazing👍
Spotted yesterday circling CYLW. Very cool bird!
If their aviation product is ground breaking, that is because the aircraft has crashed
the ony boeing plane i love is the 757 , its like a rocket , great performance , reliable and awsome cockpit
I’ve seen it, but didn’t know it was from honeywell
Yes, I have seen this aircraft many times while plane spotting at Sky Harbor Airport.
Y'all should do a video on the RR GE and PW testbeds too
I worked on it when it was at Kelowna flightcraft a few yrs ago
I’ve never seen the aircraft, but I live near the Honeywell San Tan Test Site south of PHX and boy I can attest to their jet engine testing capabilities.
I've never seen this plane myself, but it is a damn interesting 1!
I've seen that plane at Brisbane airport a few years back
With their 720 no longer in use the 757 is their primary testbed.
The 720, last time I saw it, had 5 long thin high pitched whistling engines.
No clue what they were, maybe someone knows.
Are you on about the AlliedSignal 720? And what happened to it?
@@TugAndThugComputing you got it.
I began working on their products back when it was Garrett/Airesearch.
We were getting more time between overhauls on their engines than they did.
The years fly by but it was great fun.
I work on the ramp at KPHX and I've only seen it land one. It's an interesting plane!
Well they pick the best Narrow Body Airplane and one of the best airplane passenger ever built.
We saw this aircraft at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport. Couple years ago.
I once seen it landing at Stansted in the mid 2010’s, just as I was going for my flight. Had to stop walking to the gate and watch it land as it’s such a rarity.
A video about Pratt & Whitney's 747sp test bed would be awesome! Reg C-GTFF
RIP 757 a Shame my Airline discontinued them to replace with 321
Love the ✏️✏️ pencil plane
Seen it quite often in PHX.
I saw it at PHX 3 years ago
I live in Phoenix, and now that I am aware of the existence of this aircraft, I will watch for it. It undoubtedly is operating outside of Goodyear Airport in Goodyear, Arizona. There is a very old brick building that has a cat stone over Over the main entrance which sports honey well! Goodyear airport is a 737 max holding area and graveyard for discontinued aircraft as well
Cool
What are the other planes in Honeywell's testbed fleet and how does each play a role in improving aviation technology?
I saw this plane in Hongkong while I was waiting for my flight to Istanbul
lol my dad took me plane spotting at PHX sky harbor and i saw one of these one of these 757’s on the apron
I seen these planes at the airport in phoenix and wanted to know about them although I work with honeywell
Bizarre spelling of “bizarre” in the thumbnail too 😉
757 is a workhorse
It has never landed at Eglin AFB, so I would not see it.
I fly Honeywell to Europe every month they are the best
Back when Boeing was still Boeing ..
E
here is where all the aircraft toxic nerds type comments saying: Oh IvE FlOWn oN thE 757 it wAS sO goOd anD IM SUCh a PrO
Very cool. Simulator testing only gets us so far. Good to see a classic company also employing Musk level thinking. 👍
