The actor who plays young Peter is the actual son of the actor of the older Peter which is why they look alike.

Always loved the ending shot of Jonas, with the family tree as angel wings.

It's definitely the saddest episode. And some big reveals!

Think back to when Magnus was swimming with Marta and Jonas and was kidding around about the folk tale of a women at the bottom of the lake. The same day Jonas finds the pendant. The story is true, and its his mom! Completely wild. (at least this is what I remember, someone may correct me)

It was Bartosz who told the tale and Magnus then tried to pull Martha down under water.

A rewatch of the entire series would help put the pieces together...
Almost to the end... or is it the beginning?

Repeating my recommendation that you re-watch the start of S2E1 as part of the post-episode discussion of S3E7.
    Adds some good context.

Did you know the actor who plays Ulrich played Adolf Hitler in a movie called “Look Who’s Back”

You gotta hand it to the show creators... They're nothing if not consistent with confusing viewers and using the theme of "3". Three deaths in this episode. 😏
Jonas dying really left me dazed because it didn't make any sense. How could Stranger exist then? Thankfully the next two episodes had the answers.

Interestingly, the whole "relations between close relatives" thing is much more of a socio-cultural construct than something "natural".
We wince at that idea - "But she's his aunt!" - but the reason we do so is because we are conditioned to do so.
There is no physical reason why such a relationship should be unacceptable. And there are many lines of evidence to support that.
    - It is not unacceptable, in different cultures, and in different times.
    - The taboo existed in some cultures long before we knew anything about potential negative genetic consequences for offspring.
    - There still is no society today that restricts or forbids relationships between people whose genes might result in negative genetic consequences for offspring.
And then there is the other side... the things that _are_ allowed.
Like when Eva told Jonas "In this world you [Jonas and Martha being a couple] are not impossible." Well... yes, Jonas is not the son of Martha's brother in this world. He is nobody's son. This Martha is not related to him _by action._
But genetically, she is still the same Martha. Just based on the genetics, he is still her nephew.
In a similar way: let's say "main world" Martha had turned out _not_ to be Jonas' aunt. Perhaps she was adopted, or a foundling, like Charlotte. No genetic relation... and no taboo aganist relations between adopted siblings either, because she had also not an adopted relationship to Jonas.
What would change? We'd go from "oh, they're so cute together", before we know about Mikkel/Michael, to "OMG, she's your aunt! You must not!", after the revelation, back to ""Oh, she's not his aunt at all.... so that's fine. They're so cute together!"
What caused this middle step? There is no objective reason. It's all within our subjective, socially conditioned worldview.
Now in the overall "real world" situation, there are a lot more factors to consider... mainly dealing with consent and power differences. But without these factors - like in the Martha and Jonas case - I don't think there's anything wrong with having such a kind of relationships.

Unfortunately I don’t feel sorry for Ulrich he put himself in that position to be locked up in the first place by attempted murder of Helge. He disrespected Kat by cheating on her multiple times. Kat on the other hand I feel bad for. She was so close to seeing Mikkel.
