If you're ever interested in exploring the world of Korean/Asian dramas, then I have a long list of recommendations ;)
Otherwise, I hope that you'll love whichever show ends up winning the poll.
Really enjoyed these Dark reactions with you 💙 And Fringe & The Expanse before that :)

Eva wants to maintain the loop/course of events so that everyone can exist (despite the suffering in their lives on which their very existences depend) while Adam maintains it to eventually reach the point at which he believes he can destroy it all.
Thus, they ensure that things happen as they know them to have already happened (which is, of course, why they happened that way in the first place - it's circular!). Events that are both the cause of their causes and the effects of their effects. Looped.

Nothing replaces Dark. That's the sad truth. 😅

    "What was the point?"
This is not really a spoiler at this point. The answer is almost always: Because it always happened that way. Things have to happen the same way so that both Martha and Jonas can become Eva and Adam. They both need to become Eva and Adam because they both need to exist to keep the cycle going (Eva) or stop the cycle (Adam). They are in a constant loop of creating themselves. That much should be clear by now.

And also because Adam and Eva are there it has to happen, because it already happened.

@@connectingthedots100 Yes. You can't contradict what has already happened in the future. By the way: It's always funny to use the word "already" concerning the future. I love DARK.

The notion of cycles and actual repetition within the timeloop tends to be what confuses people.
In my view, no event ever actually reoccurs, so there's no repitition of an event in which a different choice can be made, despite what the characters say (some seem to just use the idea to manipulate others, at least). It doesn't seem logical. The chain of cause-and-effect gets twisted into a knot with time-travel, but the timeline itself is still just moving in one static direction, and it doesn't circle around and "restart" at any point.
Likewise, while characters may endure much suffering in their lives and re-experience events in them from a different perspective as their older selves, they still reach the end of those lives and die. They aren't reborn and suffering "eternally" in that sense.
The cycle idea just seems like the thinker is still stuck looking at things in a linear sense, as if there could even be a "first loop" when it comes to the existence of something like the mother/daughter pair of Charlotte and Elizabeth. Being mutually dependant on the other, it can't really be said that one was born "before" the other - they both need to have come into existence simultaneously with every other event in the timeline.
Hence why "time is an illusion" - every different point in time exists, in effect, at the same time.

Get ready for about fifty plot points next episode.
On quantum entanglement, one particle will have a “spin” (for lack of a better term) in one direction, and the other the opposite direction. Say particle A travels a bajillion miles away, once you observe the spin of particle B, you instantly know that of A, so it seems to us like a break of the rules by information traveling faster than the speed of light/causality.

What is the meaning of life? This is such a fundamental question... and it doesn't even matter what the answer is. It may be something profound and deep. It may be something trivial. It may be self-referential. Or there just may be none. The important point is that we are here to ask the question.
Here, "life" is a loop, as far as the protagonists are concerned. They will go through it over and over and over again, without end... and without beginning.
Even Adam, after spending all his life, at least identifies it wrong: Martha's child is not the "origin". Perhaps it is the one point where the loop might be broken... but it's not the beginning of all. There is no beginning. That's why it is a loop.
So what is the meaning of life? Adam and Eva get to two diametrically opposed conclusions.
Adam sees this existence as meaningless... even wrong. It _should_ not be. It is a perversion. It must be ended... and if that means non-existence... this would be preferable over _this_ existence.
Eva has the opposite point of view. Existence is meaning in itself. Even this horrible, warped, twisted, perverted tangle of life and death is preferable to non-existence... and so it _must_ be. Must be kept going. Must be started over and over again, even if it always results in the apocalypse.
    Both are wrong.
There is a world beyond the loop.
We've seen a glimpse of the world "before" the loop. Old Tannhaus, with his father. Who would also have had a father and mother. And countless other people, just living their lives.
There is a world outside of Winden and its twisted community. We've seen a few outsiders, like the people sorting out the aftermath of the apocalypse, or the Frenchmen who tried to enter the power plant and were hanged by Elisabeth.
And there will be a world "after" the loop. Adam is old... he will die at some point, or get killed. So will Elisabeth and Charlotte and everyone we have seen survive. There will be a year 2100, 2200... and the world will go on existing.
Because there also is no loop. Every person just lives once. They may meet themselves. They may even be their own grandmother. But they are born, they live, they die. Time does not reset for them.
And so Adam is wrong. Existence is much greater than what he sees as this tangled web. Who is he to decide to end it?
And Eva is wrong, for the same reason. Existence is so much greater. Who is she to decide that her little part of it has to dominate everything else?
Who will prevail? We will see, for sure.
