Thank you for sharing this DIY video. It helped me see someone doing the project. I have a suggestion . Next time, apply only 1 cote of the adhesive to the car body after you scrape or remove the old one. Make sure you clean the area for proper bonding, and you need a primer for the glass. Use same branding on your case 3M; this will be applied to the glass after remov of old glue. And to the car body if there is any metal exposed after scraping. Let it cure and apply adhesives, attach panel, make it even, press gently around all areas, put a bunch of painters tape to prevent glass from sliding down. If you live in cold weather, leave it dry for up to 3 days . If you live in a hot place, one day, it's all you need. Now finally, some windex and you got a new side panel !
Good tip my friend .
@terryherrera
Great video, this was the clearest explanation on what I needed to do I could find
Can’t wait to fix my window lol
Nice job explaining the product. Made it simple with all the important details
Glad you all got it fixed and going good job
Awesome vid, kinda crazy how hard it is to find something helpful like this lol
Old vid and comment but can never help from commenting. Everything here is wrong 😂😂
Great Video!Thanks for posting!💪👍
Very helpful video! Thank you.
Buen trabajo, me ayudó mucho gracias 👏
Should have done a V bead. Round beads unless they are fat beads will not seal correctly
Great video thanks for posting it
Nice job guys!
Great video 👍
Great video
thanks for info
thanks for the video, though I don't have the same car and glass, your video is very helpful!
Should cut a bigger piece and then cut a V shape on one side. Place the tip flat, V shape will should be opposite direction of the direction your running the glue. You can either do it on the glass or the vehicle just once.
What do you think? Would it be easier and neater to apply adhesive to the vehicle?
@@drgruvloch wherever you see the glue as your guide. Also the reason for a "V" bead, for a better and accurate seal, you don't need to apply to both glass and body of the vehicle. Also depending on the glue you are using. You might have to use primer and especially if you scratch the vehicle before it will rust. I can almost bet the job on the video could possibly leak. Definitely too much and uneven amount of glue. Sorry but that was not the proper way to do that.
@@Miguel_A_SI’ve done about 10 glass replacement throughout the years on vehicles I still own or know the people the have the vehicles now. None of them have leaked and never did the V cut. A friend in another state wanted a quick tutorial on replacing his side glass and I found this one for him. Sure there is no need to put the urethane on the glass but since he did, there is no way he has gaps. The glass is sitting flush and proper so not being held out by too much sealant. This will never leak. That headliner is going to boned to this install but most likely it will never need to be removed. Good job OP.
How long did it take to dry
Thanks
there's a can opener at the end of the tube. do you remove that before inserting into the applicator?
I had the same problem 😭 I locked my car keys and had to break to window!! This video is everything
Now why would you do such thing? 🤦🏻♂️
Just wow. A lock smith in this case in cheaper!
How is it holding so far? And do you go on freeways?
How did you get the quarter out?
I might be able to replace this pretty easily then
How long did it take to dry?
I was wondering did you have to open the bottom of the urethane tube before you install it on the applicator or it was sealed like a silicone tube?
Yes you do. I was wandering that myself and watched more videos . RUclips is way of learning these days.
They don’t sell new now. ASM Lexan was the only
us place I could find for
The hatch
How long should it be taped to dry?
At least 24 hours :)
Damn guys you can fix anything haha can you fix my cat? Keep the videos comin!
Omg, please post a video of your cat on youtube and send me a link. I will analyze immediately!
Did you put prime
No just made sure it was free of debris and cleaned with some alcohol
Hey man any updates on the window ?
Still holding strong 💪
Your partner sounds like Aubrey Plaza!
Cheaper to call a locksmith
Leave film of old urethane on car to have to new without scratching car.
Where can I order the 3M window glue your using?
link in the description :)
@@DriverLuis w bro can fit any window need fit my window back my car person do it no do s good thank bro good video

best buys 😄
@@salvadorlopez-beltran6734 how’s it holding still.
Next time go buy a scraper that uses the box blades..it will make your life way easier when scrapping down urathane..also make sure your glue doesn't need activator. Because if you it does and you don't use it. That glue will not hold long.
No Primer this glass no been properly install
I was gonna say.. not only that but this guy can’t runs a bead..
Auto glass is not a diy project. Terrible job! Also never use 3M urethane.
Why not 3m just wondering
It is a diy
Why?
You know she's saying to all her friends......."he locked the keys in the car"
I bet it leaked
doing pretty great actually 👍
That was all wrong.. 😢
