An alcoholic doesn’t have a drink, we have a drunk, if we don’t have that first drink it’s impossible to get drunk, my thoughts & prayers are with the still suffering alcoholic & those on the journey of sobriety🙏
Thanks for sharing these details Steven. What really hits me is that I have a choice whether to go through these experiences or not, but theres loads of people out there with no choice because of the different nature of their illnesses.

As someone who was conscious of not drinking too much ,,mindful,,,i can understand how drink wraps its tenticles round you. ,i actaully stopped over covid 2 yrs. Did not want to come out of that with a drink problem
Thanks steven, still watch all your content it has been such a help since months ago and still is. Anyone reading, whether still drinking or in a relapse / if youve been sober longterm or shortterm, wishing you all the best! With you every step of the way wherever you are in your drink "journey" :)
Hi Steven maybe I needed to watch that. I'm 44 years old and I've been drinking for 25 years it all come to ahead 2 years ago when I ended up with inflammation of the lining of my stomach and needed an endoscopy I allso had panic attacks. Anyway I quit Alcohol for 2 years until I got better. I allways knew in my head and heart that I'd drink again because its in me to do it. Anyway my health is great now I do drink but only twice a week and only Guinness. No top shelf anymore or fizzy beers and the days I don't drink I eat really healthy and drink plenty of fluids it's now controlled drinking and I'm enjoying the pubs even more than before and that's drinking less. Peace and love to everyone out there including people who are going through difficulties in life *BELIEVE *
Hi Steven🙏😌You almost had me in tears today, and it's tears for the people who must endure and persevere as doctors, nurses and family members. The description of your time in the ward scares me too. Thanks for talking Steven💖

Thank you Steven, that was a stark podcast, very real and very scary. As you state we can’t see a lot of the damage the drinks doing and tragically for a lot of people not until it’s too late. I for one would like to see a lot more education on the dangers of alcohol. It might have made me think more realistically about what I did easily, drink
Hi Steven,my Dad passed away earlier this year from a lot of problems due to alcohol.Ive also got the addiction, trying my best to beat it,joining the gym, eating healthy etc. Thanks so much for your videos.Helps me a lot and so happy you’re doing so well.
Thank you Steven. I was a heavy drinker from 18 to mid 30s.... got diagnosed as ADHD, put on stimulants, and was able to cut the alcohol just like that (something i previously could never do). It's not all sun and rainbows.... i'm now a meth addict. This stuff wrecks you in a shockingly small amount of time. I wish we were taught meditation in primary school. That would help prevent a lot of suffering that so many people go through. LSD should be legal. MDMA should be legal. But i digress.... Appreciate your video Steven. Well done on finding sobriety

Hi Steve Came across your channel and I just can't imagine how hard it must have been to turn your life around. I'm not a drinker myself only the odd one now and then so I don't know what's it's like to be an alcoholic. I just wanted to say that turning your life around is a massive accomplishment and now to be out there helping others. Lots of my friends and family drink far to much and some are probably on the edge of being fully dependent on it. I think alcohol is too accepted in society. Amazing channel and I'll be watching all the time .
In 2010 when I was 53, I became extremely sick, and was taken to the ER. I spent the next 14 days in hospital, 11 of them NPO with an NG tube. Turns out I had Pancreatitis. This was without a doubt the sickest I’ve ever been before or since. Then the doctor explained it was a “mild” case, and only acute (for now). I couldn’t believe he was calling this a mild case, until he told me that a severe case would be upstairs in the ICU on a ventilator. He also said that as of that day my drinking career was OVER! It took five more years to listen, but today I’m nine years sober. There are just far too many health disasters to list regarding the abuse of alcohol. I’m glad you made it through Steve! And wish you good health, and another 24hrs of sobriety. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
