the thing i love about the w6 and the w7's especially is just how CLEAN the bass is!!!!!!!! most subs dont sound like that until the trunk is closed!!!! But this sub, you can set it and the enclosure on the ground and it'll deliver just the cleanest notes youll ever hear!!!
The enclosure is one of the biggest things you can have a nice sub like that and it'll sound like crap , you can have a very well tuned box with a cheap sub and it'll sound very close to the same
I agree. W6 is a long time favorite of mine. There's just nothing that sounds like a JL Audio W6 or W7. They hit hard, but most importantly, they have a very high quality, rich, distortion free sound. I wouldn't use anything other than JL Audio subwoofers in my car lol

Lower frequency drivers or subwoofers are designed to move more air and have more excursion than those of higher frequency. Or in easier words, the way of how the cone goes up and down.
This music track is the most challenging for a great setting, and your subsonic filter seems to be set in a good frequency level for that sub, great job
I don't see a port anywhere. If it is a sealed enclosure, and built to the recommended cu ft, then you don't need a subsonic filter because the sub cannot "unload" below the tuning frequency.

Think about how much surface area there is on a sub, then compare that to how big the opening on your phone speaker is. The sub is able to push a lot more air a lot farther because it has both more surface area and excursion.
Try some sort of wood joint for the pieces next time like a dado. I'm running a type x in a sealed box that has no glues or screws in it yet (couldnt wait to try them), it is just assembled with dado joints and a mallet. Sounds awesome as is and has been pumping for weeks and has never come apart at all.
