Looks like things are slowly working out with the closing, great to see keep up the good work
Yeah, need to make the jigsaw still work, but a few things are falling into place for sure.
Hello everyone
Hi! Thanks for being a part of The Fish Room Family
11:16 😂 👍
Getting there LOL
Ideally yes, they need to be very close to the same size- why because you have to introduce them to the tank when they are very small/young & if you have fish with a large size difference, often the smaller ones will be out competed by the larger ones & end up dead.
I'm not sure if anyone (myself included) made a point last time that sororities generally need to be very young sisters added to the tank together, having not been previously separated. Trying to start a sorority with fish that have lived solo, live apart from each other, gotten some size/age on them or are added at different times 99.9% of the time fails pretty quickly, more often than not with deaths & injuries involved.
Glad things seem to be going well with the wind down thus far, although bittersweet, everything that sells now is one less thing to worry about in the future aye.
Awesome thanks for the info re the betta, I will let Saffo know! 100% it is bitter sweet, but here we are.
Give enough room for the females to get away from each other. I kept two betta females in a 29-gallon and felt there was enough room to let them get away with plants. Consider just keeping one female or one male. They will come right up to the front of the tank anyway and then you don't have to worry about aggression. If you want to keep multiple be ready to intervene if someone is getting picked on. Bettas tend to be more like small cichlids, aggression-wise.
Legend, thanks for your input. I will make sure Saff gets the information.
