Would be nice if Razer have (or makes) a white Blackwidow V3 with PBT keycaps, still on optical linear switches and can be wired or wireless functionality.
The blackwidow looks so much better imo. The short keystroke travel on the huntsman mini sounded good to me at the time, but I found it a bit awkward to type on, I never got used to it.
I have the huntsman mini with all the keys that normally have stabilizers o-ringed with the G.Skill crystal crown keycaps (black) on the red linears and I love it. Plenty of good lighting and its not making any annoying keyboard sounds. Nothing I have seen but custom boards makes me wanna try anything different
I've had some kind of variant of both keyboards and I've got to say, now that the yellow switch is so fast, I think the feel and typing and all is just so much better the the huntsman mini The price has gone down to around 80 to 100 dollars so it's not even pricy anymore
do agree there should be more love for tactile users... If they released the v3 mini phantom with their orange switches, I'll get it immediately. I have been looking for a wireless 65% keyboard for my laptop setup for a while now but ended up settling for the Razer huntsman mini linears. No regrets though as the optical switches are so nice to press and less strain on my fingers. However, I did have to take some time to adjust with the short actuation, still make typos every so often. It helped using a wooden wrist rest with it.
I like the Blackwidow better overal but a 65% layout seems more functional to me. I'm a logitech guy so I really hope they will do something similar with the G915. Optical low profile switches like Keychron with a 65% layout.
I just got my huntsman mini with red switches for 57€ and i love it. Didnt expect to be that good. Saw alot of videos and the sound was meh. In reality sounds good
@@_archer7101 well the space bar is the onIy that sounds a bit meh. Btw I m using it for gaming and have my headphones on, so its not a big of a deal for that price

Heya Brainbean! Love the content as always. Keep up the good work! If the Blackwidow mini were to be on sale, for example, instead of $179 it goes on sale for $129, what would your opinion of the blackwidow mini be then? Curious to know as it looks like it will most likely be on sale for the holidays. Thanks for your time and happy holidays.
Razer optical red's are great. If you haven't used anything like the switches you listed, they will all be pretty awesome. and may take a little while to get used to. the silvers are pretty sensitive too. and even with optical reds, i have occasional accidently key presses while typing. this doesn't really come up much in gaming though.
the wireless bluetooth functionality is perfect for tablets.. you have no idea.. if you own a 12.9 or a larger tablet.. like the new samsung galaxy tablets, this keyboard is perfect for those, and like the perfect keyboard for a minimalist... you can carry the keyboard with you when you need to type... and not use it when you only need to use the tablet.. bring it home and then connect it straight to your desktop and your ready to go. the only thing that i find lacking is dedicated function keys.,.. but then size and form factor would be way to big.. this is my only gripe since I still play warcraft frozen throne 3 and its essential for hero controls, but this is a specific niche complaint. all in all, I think that the form factor is small and compact for taking it on the go, but big enough to not feel cramped and to type comfortably like you would with the ten keyless or a full size keyboard.
Most of them are on sale rn on Amazon I need to decide which one I get, I was thinking definitly the mini because I probably won't even use the remaining keys if I buy the normal version of the keyboard
Weirdly enough i have the white huntsman mini on my bed at the moment which i have been using for a year. I now have the V3 with the phantom keycaps which i received today, with optional white phantoms too if i want to play around. Its too early to tell but i love the colours i can get with the V3.

True and on Amazon you can see they always have discounts on the keyboard so it's even cheaper I personally think It's good value now

I have a big question tho, how did u manage to make the huntsman mini recognize another USB-C cable? (1:20)

I’d like to see the huntsman with the phantom key caps( I know you’re not a fan) to compare
the black widow is 50% off rn do you think its worth it now?
On UK amazon the Huntsman is on sale for £82 the Black widow is at the Huntsman regular price of £120. Im leaning towards the Blackwidow

Any hot swappable 65% keyboard you would recommend? Thanks in advance!
Which switch would you recommend in terms of smoothness and responsiveness? The HyperX Reds/Razer Yellows/Razer Optical Reds/Gatreon Silvers.

How do change the brightness and effects. With the mini which keys do I push fn? Something
Fun+ Ctrl 1
could you do latency test? i think that's the only thing that matters.
