Every time Razer drops a new product, it sends shockwaves through the community. No other company is delivering so consistancy right now. This board is no exception and is a great choice if you're already balls deep in to the Razer ecosystem. For me personally, I have the ducky one2 mini and would still choose this board (right next to my Razer Mamba TE) for one reason only, switch choice. If Razer has a silent tactile option similar to the MX brown I have on my one2 mini (which is easily the most popular option), then I think ducky will have a fight on their hands...

The razer one looks very flat and rounded while the ducky is high profile and more compact looking because of the case. I don’t like the sound of the razer switches but I know that they are a million times smoother than cherry switches.

Im still not really sure which one to get. From the video, it seems like the Ducky is better overall while the Huntsman is just for competative gamers who need every millisecond they can get. The comments seem to be in favor of the Huntsman though. If my main games are Valorant, mincraft, and Rainbow does anyone know which board would be better? Thanks!

If you don’t care about how a key switch feels and control over the RGB then I would suggest the razer because I’ve had their keyboards and mice for a while now and the huntsman mini (linear switches) is coming up to a year old and I have no complaints with it
@@justjack8909 man, i already bought a duck one 2 mini ngl its not bad but it gets dirty quickly (it has a glossy Finnish) while the razer has matte and sounds better
@@1Ac1d tbh I wouldn’t say there is a big difference between them, the only reason I would go for razer is because they have been reliable with me and I’ve gotten use to synapse, btw is there a software to control the rgb on the ducky because that seems to be a important feature for me
BTW: If you have a Huntsman Mini and use Matrix or other keycap sets , you can take out the Gray Stabilizer's ( on the bottom of the keycaps you got to pull the out lol) and pop them into the new keycaps ( has to be Cherry MX stemmed) ones. I didn't realize this and I think other's might want to know!

Surprisingly I think Razer has a cleaner look. We're your switches lubed? Another reviewer said his weren't. I hope they bring these updates to the TKL version.

You can program the Ducky to have arrow keys. Which makes it a clear winner for me

I would definitely go for linear since, I have a mechanic keyboard from Aukey and it is a good keyboard but once it nighttime...it is bad since it is a clicki loud noise

I really don't like the thumpy noise on the ducky space bar. I don't wanna be playing a game or typing and just hear thump thump thump every time I jump or type space to enter a new word.

@@julianmotte667 they're cheap for their quality at around $100 and last a very long time. It's not like the person is buying a custom. Imo keyboards like these are great to start. Get yourself a decent mouse like a g pro wireless if you're into FPS games and you're set for years.

You've been able to control then RGB since the huntsman TE but they just didn't make it clear
ngl I would only pick the ducky because I like the blue switches and also the shift enter and spacebar are so bad on the razerhuntsman mini with linear switches, I swear they are loud asshell and dont feel right

A big factor to me is price and the Huntsman mini is overpriced considering you can get a One 2 Full Size for $130 which is the same price as the Huntsman Mini

I have the huntsman mini and I can say that it is a great keyboard but the only thing is the switches which I got the wrong one and now they sound annoying.

Not a fan of the Mini keyboards. Heck, not a fan of the 65% ones either. TKL, maybe......I could see me using a SteelSeries Apex TKL, but I prefer a full sized keyboard. It just feels right. And looks right. I'll stick with my SteelSeries Apex 7.

Does anyone know if Razer will release the huntsman mini in the regular reds without the sound dampener? I am not really a fan of silent switches and I loved the reds on the huntsman TE.

Oof, that new Linear switch is such a night and day difference in sound (I'm typing this on the original Huntsman TE). Definitely gonna have to add a Huntsman Mini to my collection.

What’s the difference between cherry mx silent reds vs razer optical reds? Which do you prefer?
Silent Red include rubber dampeners around the bottom of the stem to reduce the sound and impact of bottoming out.
The noise level is quite low, and these silent reds are appropriate for use in the library, office, classrooms, and more! However, with silence comes some sacrifice.
The feeling of bottoming out of plastic on plastic is no longer there. It’s replaced by plastic on rubber dampener, which makes for a slightly mushy feeling. If you’re not used to this, it may be a weird feeling to get used to.
I would pick Silent Red than Razer's one since Razer switch are never a good choice for typing/ working, they provide poor experience for it, but gaming with Razer switch is enjoyable.

Really wish Razer would make Optical Orange switches with a larger tactile bump than the regular Oranges.

Does the huntsman mini work on ps4?
For me, the light settings are not saved on the Huntsman Mini. As soon as I close or uninstall Synapse, the light is reset to default.
You gotta open the app every time or turn it on automatic turn on when you open your computer
@@LSXTyler The software sucks, so I didn't even install it. Ensures a high utilization of the PC in idle mode. In addition, it is not compatible with MSI Afterburner and other programs.

ive noticed all the youtubers that have done reviews on the huntsman mini have linked only the purple switch version and the places ive looked at the red version is either not available (amazon) or not on the site at all (Bestbuy) just curious if its not out yet or maybe someone has an answer on why i cant seem to find the red linear version anywhere.
