I am SO TORN between the two. The price doesn't really matter but the durability. Would it be easier to replace ducky keys than the huntsman's? I've known so many issues with razer keyboards so it's very sketchy to get the huntsman mini. Great video btw!
Both keys aren't hot swappable. I would go off price , availability. I'm still using the ducky daily as I've not reviewed it but so far zero issues and its over a year old. Only wear is some light keycap shine
I had my blackwidow keyboard from razer 2014 edition for 7 years now and i had no problems, im finally going to upgrade and i think its personal preference but theres nothing wrong with razer keyboards, but since razer products are mass produced its bound to have bad apples, not really unusual. Hopefully if you get a bad product you can return it and upside is that the its not as rare and can likely be purchased in store on sale, i really want a custom board aswell but that stuff takes an eternity sadly.
Im still not really sure which one to get. From the video, it seems like the Ducky is better overall while the Huntsman is just for competative gamers who need every millisecond they can get. The comments seem to be in favor of the Huntsman though. If my main games are Valorant, mincraft, and Rainbow does anyone know which board would be better? Thanks!
I would say the MX cherry switches on the ducky are a nicer typing experience but the opto mech on the huntman are faster. The other one to check is the new BW 65% though tis pricey.
Great video. Even though you are a Brit do you still prefer to use a US ANSI keyboard? Is it difficult to transition over from the ISO layout? Also I picked a Huntman Mini (red switch) the other day on Black Friday and got it for 89€. However I was not fussed on the RGB and the silenced switches. Also the Nordic layout was too busy looking and as I am coming from a HyperX Origins Core TKL the lack of arrows was a bit of deal breaker. On the Ducky keyboards is there some function lock feature for the arrows (double-tap of a button)? I know there is a 65% version but I am thinking about the One Mech Mini which seem to be sold out everywhere. Looking to buy from UK or Nordics.
Hello Bob, hope you are doing well. What do you think about HyperX Alloy FPS PRO with Cherry MX Reds? Do you recommend it or you recommend something else but similar?
the reason the razer Huntsman Mini is more expensive is because the build quality on it, it uses a metal plate unlike the ducky one 2 mini making the quality just feel more expensive and rugged. but still great video man keep the good work up.
Don't worry questions are good :-). Tricky one, you can remove the pre travel but adding some tape or plasters to the button plunger to pack it out. the post travel might also be reduced but its harder to get rid of that.
