Pretty decent game, recently a bit unbalanced and a fair amount of pay to win elements, but fun nevertheless.

I bet Razer is so happy now
I truly hope that wasn't a sponsored video because you truly seemed like you had no interest and could not be bothered doing your job. Razer were good enough to send you over a product they were clearly proud of in those lovely black boxes and you just half assed the whole thing. Im sure other members of LTT could have mustered a lot more enthusiasm. Just don't be in front of the camera if you can't be bothered.
@@robertfullard5646 didn't he say that he was sponsored by War Thunder though, not Razer?
Robert Fullard - As a product reviewer, you shouldn't be biased by the special treatment a company gives you. You need to be loyal to your audience, as otherwise your job as a reviewer is undermined and the customer is ultimately screwed over.
@@yasirabdulhakeem They said these videos are "Spotlights" on The Wanshow. They're not sponsored, but they are given the items for free so they aren't truly unbiased and at the same time they are not beholden to the sponsor's wishes.
@ Its sponsored by Razer. Check the description box. It says paid link. I agree though i like James but dam he couldnt care less about the product he is reviewing. Even if the keyboard isnt great at least put some effort to the review.

Idk he seems bored and annoyed in most short circuit vids
keatodylan I got a Razer Huntsman on sale for $100 and the stabilization goal is amazing.
@@keatodylan I feel you, I have a Ducky from 2016 before they kinda blew up (just knew about them through word of mouth) but I have respect for Razer for really improving their products. Not everyone needs to buy a Ducky or spend $400 on an escape key alone to have a great KB

Yeah, I appreciate that he didn't try to hide his disappointment with Razer products
Lol that's funny because everyone was moaning about him acting like a normal human being a few weeks ago in the comments because he wasn't super enthusiastic to be reviewing something boring
Surprised at the comments tbh like this is James. Have you never seen him before lol Did they expect him to be like Linus? And it's just an unboxing, not a detailed keyboard review
I mean i too would be disappointed at that keyboard for that price. So many better options at that pricepoint

Small factor keyboards are awesome! You can place and hold your hands more naturally, and don't tire out as fast
0:05 he sounds like he really doesn't want to be there
I watch ShortCircuit to see James be underwhelmed about everything.
All those years spent learning vim keys for moving, even though dedicated keys were present, are finally worth something...
The thing I find most amazing about this considering it's a razer keyboard. If you unscrew the top plate, you can swap out the switches without needing to solder them. That's insane for Razer!!
I've heard lots of people rip on razer for bad software, and faulty products, but I've only ever experienced the former. I've had a couple pairs of their kraken pro headphones over the years, and they've always been great. I also am using the same ouroborous mouse and deathstalker keyboard that I've had for prolly a good 4 or 5 years at this point, and the only issue I've had is when razer dropped support for them from their software. :/ My mouse is starting to have issues with the scroll wheel, sometimes it jumps a step in the opposite direction, but beyond that, both the mouse and keyboard are still going strong. I'm particularly thankful for that with the keyboard, because I greatly prefer the chiclet style, and from my looking, there doesn't seem to be any high-end gaming-oriented chiclet keyboards left on the market...
God I've missed LMG reviewing non-specalist keyboards. Thank you Short Circuit to bringing me back to those old days of tech reviews while keeping your main channel for your regular content! And yes I know there's other people out there but LMG content has a certain polish to it that you generally don't get with other channels!
Just get the regular huntsman if you don't care about portability and want a numpad. In the US it has been regularly on sale for $90.
I've been waiting so long for this keyboard. I got the Huntsman TE recently but had to return it because the actuation was way to short on the Linear Red switches. I would bump it from the side and it would literally register a keystroke. Going to grab this with the purple switches.
The purples are money
@@nigeldelong5744 Still using this keyboard. It's awesome.
@6:00 "If what you get is good, stay married to it", he says as he glances at his wedding ring.
Nothing like watching a video where the host's lack of enthusiasm is so very palpable. lol "A keyboard . . . yayyyy."
He's actually pretty passionate about mechanical keyboards - at least based on a video on LTT where he organized a blind test of switches - but these are so crappy, that he just barely made himself go through it...Example: @4:53
@@leob_v2 The problem is that is a RAZER keyboard, a brand that is pretty disappointing in most of their products. Anyone who knows about keyboards will not be impressed by a razer one
@@MaxPlays21 actually the optical switches they use are pretty good, albeit they're just a design from another company they contracted to make them. The clicky ones are meh but the linears are really smooth
@@MaxPlays21 you have no idea what you're talking about. razer has been a streak of making great products. viper, viper ultimate, viper mini, deathadder v2, and literally all their new keyboards. People hate on razer because it’s popular to do so, I have a whole razer set up and I’ve had every component for over 2 years or I upgraded in less then 2 years. The only razer thing I’ve had fuck up was a mamba and the feet peeled off, so I ordered new feet, that was close to a year of heavy heavy use.
Reminder: Warthunder hates their playerbase, the devs are toxic assholes that wont take criticism and the game is such a grind it can take forever to get those high tier things like the Abrams. And the pay to win is real
whole lotta people in the replies desperately trying to downplay or deny hmmmmmmmmmmmm
I agree, pay to *progress faster* is definitely a thing, been playing since 1.27 (now 1.99, started in 2013) and there's never been a time of when someone can:
1. Buy a plane/tank of THE highest tier (They added Tier 5 premium plane(s) when Tier 6 rolled out for example.
2. Buying a plane/tank/ship will not insta-kill others, or win the game on it's own. So pay "to win" is definitely misleading.
While Gaijin deserves a lot of criticism, there are still no other games that even comes close to War Thunder gameplay wise (at least for ground battles). Also you can have a lot fun as long as you don't play with "get the Abrams" mentality. Saying this as someone who played the game for a lot of years and paid 30$ in all this time.
@@antonkandyba8431 Okay, Anton "100% not a dev from the Russian Gaijin company trying to defend his awful companies practices" Kandyba

For the price you can get some better keebs imo. We’re looking at ducky, durgod, glorious, hexgears, keykron, etc... Hell you can even get a starter hot swap board.
Just got Kemove 61 (instead of Geek GK61) and I'm loving it so far.
y’all haven’t even tried it yet 🤦🏻♂️
Honestly, the price is pretty competitive with what's on the market. The only real downside of the board is the lack of removable switches, but like he said, if you like them you like them.
@@madboy5566 that would be wise for new people getting into mech keyboards. But for the others who had experienced enough or owned enough mech keyboards, you can already properly tell how to match this one with a few ones for better pricing. If your point is just to defend Razer then by all means go for it if you're satisfied with their products and price tag.
And don't forget Akko
I’m looking at buying one rn but it’s a hard time I wish I could have one I’m using a &20 amazon keyboard and mouse combo loved the video
Just so you know, I was playing War Thunder as I played this, and I can confirm that I'm suffering greatly
I'm wondering what "exclusive" means though, like just the classic starter bonus? Like 500 GE or whatever it might've been + a free premium 1.0 or 1.3 starter plane?

60%s are also useful for those of us who struggle with very, very constrained desk space.
I wish small keyboards were more popular back in the 90's and early 2000s.
I couldn't afford a real desk, so I had to make due with a tiny TV dinner table that I had to leave half my keyboard hanging off the desk to have any room for a mouse.

A whole new wave of people can now learn how impractical 60% keyboards are. Yay.
The Kemove Shadow / Snowfox 60% is still far and away the best deal in the mini-mech market at $89 USD w/ hot-swappable switches, Bluetooth 5.1, 3000mAh battery, and a lot more. Ridiculously underrated.
What's up dedicated LTT viewers!
It's a basic rattly consumer keyboard. You can get a full metal frame keyboard with a higher selection of switches for the same price. Tada68 for example.
That keyboard is cool but I need one that's waterproof, quiet, short, programmable with dedicated audio +- keys has backlight and is wireless with option for a cable.
I always love keyboard vids. Can you guys make a vid about ortholinear boards?
The purple switches on this board is incredible to type on, especially if you want to use a light touch and use that tactile feedback to adjust your force in order not to bottom out. However, I regularly get tired of the horrible sounds it has. So much so that I god a Ducky One 3 with non-clicky switches as a second board becuase it was driving me mad. But even though the Ducky sounds, feels and looks like a higher quality board, I keep returning to typing on the Huntsman Mini now and then because the switches are just so superior to type on compared to any mechanical switch I've tried. The low actuation force, crisp tactile feedback at the exact point of actuation, combined with a relatively high bottom out force makes for quite a unique switch as far as I know. But using it too long without a headset will eventually make me put it in the drawer and get out my non-clicky board every time. Because man this thing is VERY rattly and loud...
I like my keyboards loud and clicky
@@duckashi7455 Yeah. The Huntsman is an awesome and unique board though. If I spent more time with a really good ANC headset and the Huntsman was a 65% layout I might probably take it back as my main board, no matter if its hated upon by keyboard enthusiasts.

most likely.
Mine hasn't broken in 7 years. I don't use it anymore, because custom is better but I don't get the durability meme. Just don't throw it into the wall
@@lauridscm1 you don't get the durability meme because your keyboard is 7 years old, (first gen razer products were awesome, nowadays their quality control is horrible and it breaks with light use, I purchased 3 deathadders, 2 for me and one for my girlfriend directly from Amazon, 3 of them died from different failures, I was able to use the parts that were good and build one that works, I wonder how long this one will last, probably not much. One was having disconnecting issues, the second had the scrollwheel broken after like 3 months of light use and the third would have a left click issue making it possible to use for play or work.
@@romano5785 tbh, both the left click issue and scroll wheel thing are huge issues that these big companies have constantly. My new mouse, Rog chakram, has replaceable switches for that reason. If you have the know-how, you could pretty easily desolder the shoddy switch and replace it. Preferably with a high quality Omron. There are scroll wheel replacement modules for sale online, YMMV with those though. Hope you can get it sorted. If not, I always search scroll/click issue before buying

60% keyboards make no sense.
1. The F keys don't have to be removed, just make them much smaller, like some kind of second class keys.
2. You don't have to remove the arrow keys, just set them to light-up when toggled on, in IJKL or something.
3. You don't even have to get rid of the numpad, just design the number row in a less retarded way so it's usable. e.g. Shift the number row so it's aligned with the row below, making it feel and function much like the numpad when some toggle button is pressed.
4. More generally, why is the letter section NEVER a different shade/color? The design language makes it seem like the L key is in the same category as the semi-colon. And the way the semi-colon is painted on gives it the same importance as the colon even though that needs a modifier key.
5. WHY is everyone soooo scared to innovate just a tiny little bit?!
Did you know, the qwerty layout is pretty much completely arbitrary? You know how, normally, people design things, we don't just sit on rocks or random shapes, we have chairs that take into account the curvature of the spine, the position of the legs etc. When it comes to keyboards, however, even if a company makes an "enthusiast" "crazy expensive" keyboard, it's still always gonna be the same old shit.
"b-but how could you improve on it? Surely everything possible has already been tried" - Nope. People are idiots. That's just a fact of current day society. 60% KBs can provide better ergonomics for certain people along with more mouse room for gaming, even moreso than TKL. Having your shoulders, neck and back more space of closer together depending can really help that strain. so keyboard builders are still complaining about how they cant find the perfect 60% keyboard even though you can find them anywhere on the internet, and no one is complaining about the fact that bottom keycap legends dont get illuminated. actual 4head.
The first thing a would do when I would've a white and black keyboard like that....arrange the keycaps on the keyboard in a chessboard pattern....just because I could.
I bought the Huntsman Elite 2 weeks before the 60% released. They still have the loud metallic ping even thought it was made in 2020.
Razer has definitely stepped up their game with their mice and keyboards, but IMO, releasing a Blackwidow Mini with their normal mechanical switches for a 100 bucks would've been more worth it. I still think Razer is ahead of Logitech and Corsair keyboard wise, but really big brands aren't typically worth it anyway
logitech has the 915 and a "hotswappish" like board (but only with theyr own switches). Theyre good in theyr own way. But bad Keycaps.
And corsair? Corsair is shit and not competetive even more. Big, chunky, overpriced dinosaurs with a pricetag i only can laugh about. And i mean ALL Corsair hardware. Mice are shit. Keyboards are shit. Corsair RGB Fans is shit with his own controller.
Only good thing corsair does are the white PBT Keycaps. Rest is obsolete. Roccat and Steelseries dont have any good keyboard.
Go with Custom. Or Prebuild Mod. You will save money. In comparison the prices for Razer, logitech and so on are too high. If you want a pricy prebuild KB, buy a ducky. 2022 anything which is not hotswap, detachable usb c, bt and\or 2.4ghz, ds pbt, good stabs, good lightig is not worth it. i dont need superfast gamerswitches on the whole kb. Only wasd and some other keys. Rest you can use smth different and you can type with it.
did anyone notice that he put the quartz key caps in the wrong order on the white keyboard?
Nice to see true 60% keyboards and not the ones claming to be 60% that have arrowkeys.
Only a matter of time before they make an LTT branded knife... Then James won't need to use a key to open his boxes!
Finally a RUclipsr who admits that not having a numpad is useless if you want to do actual work with your keyboard!
Cool but now make it wireless and less than $100. Around $80 would be actually fair since you can buy 60% wireless keyboards with mechanical switches for around $80.
Its good to see that linus have already pass the torch I mean drop it to James already
Arrow keys should have been there. Important for moving around in excel
Never used the number pad on a keyboard. Glad to see it gone. Just a waste of desktop real estate.
Function keys are more useful though.
Dunno but I actually enjoy James supposed lack of enthusiasm.
The dampener is only present in the linear switch, the clicky one has no dampener. Also pretty sure the Chinese company that makes those switches is the same company that makes light strike switches so you can probably get replacement switches from them that will fit.
I don't get this craze about Linus hand-sized keyboards that seems to be the new trend with manufacturers, as I sometimes have troubles even with regular-sized keyboards.
