  • This was not right
This was my 4th day in a row fishing here
The previous days I was doing the same and ended up with 8-12 each day and spent 4 plus hours doing it with the family
This lake is really hard right now so bring your A Game and no expectations.
The inconsistency on Washington lakes this year is really interesting
My top producers were again the mini Arrowflash dodgers, 6-7 inch leaders too
Pink naked micro hoochies and a spinner with 3 4 mm beads and a 000 gold Pentac blade
    Speed was 1.0 -1.2

Try a chamberlain. You can load the rod as much as you want while having a super light to multiple pound release.

As far as your question regarding depth. I think surface water temps during the morning are cooler driving the thermocline up. As the temperature start to increase the thermocline drops and fish follow. Oxygen is disassociated less with coler temps and I know that 54 degrees is typically where zooplankton live. Did you happen to open the stomachs and see what they were feeding on ? Great video I cant imagine how bit those kokanee are going to get in the fall......18inch average.

Good advice re: locking base - I lost a Folbe Jr. because I had it in a Scotty gearhead base.... I pulled it out to reel in a fish and the holder popped out of the gearhead and then disconnected while I had the whole thing mid-air... and over the side of the kayak... 😞

First of all thank you for your great videos. As a newbie Kokanee fisherman I've learned so much from you. Do you sale the Kokanee rods you used and described in this video? 2nd question where do you find all the great materials you use in your tubes flies. Mainly the Vedder fly? I'm a fly tier and love making all the Kokanee lures. Thank you for the Summit lake video, Closes Kokanee lake to my house. Keep up the great videos and the explanation of gear and fishing thinking you use to catch fish.
OK, I found your web site and info on rods. I've ordered from you before but didn't see the rods.

Thank you for watching Billy. Glad you found them. Sorry about the price but USA made with the best components and assembled by a true craftsman in Eugene Oregon. Most my materials come from fly shops or eBay
