People do it quite often. Not as hard as the police want you to think it is. It also depends on what police jurisdiction is pursuing you, because they all have their own policy on when to activate, and what factors determine whether or not to call a chase off. Here in Nevada, I've seen state Police attempt to initiate a stop, the vehicle or motorcycle just goes full throttle and the cops would turn their lights right off because they know they would have absolutely no chance in even trying to catch up, and it's not worth putting civilians at risk over a speeding ticket. Arkansas State Police on the other hand, they will literally never stop chasing you unless they absolutely can't find you.
A very dangerous pursuit not only ther lives but the lives of other drivers on the road and also the lives of all the officers. Very selfish and ignorant people. Should be put away for many years this driving is attempted murder. Punishment should be severe..

Surprisingly, it wasn't cut. Many police dash cams are designed to stop recording upon a big impact, usually to protect any evidence and prevent corruption in the event that the dash cam breaks.
This did have a happy ending: The 49-year-old suspect was taken into custody and was transported to North Fulton Hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash. The Alpharetta officer was also transported to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and later released. Bolling, who was wanted on an aggravated stalking warrant out of Forsyth County and DUI charges from Broward County, Florida, is charged with felony fleeing and eluding, speeding (143 in a 65 mph zone), DUI less safe, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to signal/changing lanes, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to obey traffic control devices and driving while unlicensed.
Doesn't appear his sentence was as interesting as his charges as I couldn't find any article on it but he had some other things going on including harassing communication and stalking charges. No bond. But a DUI lawyer in Georgia says it's likely he'd get the full 12 months for the DUI and related chase charges.
Why was there charge for 143 in a 65 (highway charge), instead of 140+ in a 35 in the downtown streets? The speed differential is greater. Ah, doesn’t really matter. Glad no one was seriously injured, but certainly the deputy felt better after the failed PIT to just plow into the guy.
For anyone wondering, since this video ended abruptly... Bolling is charged with felony fleeing and eluding, speeding, reckless driving, DUI, failure to maintain lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to obey traffic control devices, and driving while unlicensed. At one point, the driver being pursued was clocked at 143 mph, spokesman Howard Miller said. The suspect was identified as 49-year-old John Bolling, Miller said. Other agencies also were involved in the chase for Bolling, who was taken into custody and charged with DUI and other offenses. The officer was treated for minor injuries at a hospital and released, according to a statement. -- The incident began shortly before 2 a.m. near Old Milton Parkway when an officer’s radar clocked a Mercedes-Benz 300 at 100 mph, Miller said. “The vehicle ... swerved around our officer and slowed to about 65 mph,” Miller said. “We attempted to initiate a traffic stop and as another officer arrived to assist, the Mercedes accelerated to speeds in excess of 143 mph on GA 400.” -- Other charges against Bolling include speeding, reckless driving and driving without a license, Miller said. He also is wanted on an aggravated stalking warrant out of Forsyth County and DUI out of Broward County, Fla. www.ajc.com/news/crime--law/alpharetta-officer-injured-during-high-speed-chase-suspect-held/vckA0m9zLQwrGSgUw9PzXI/

If constant understeering and missing several PIT opportunities is “top notch” then I guess. What many people don't understand is that yes, the Mercedes Benz is fast, but it's also very heavy. That's why it's virtually impossible to spin one out.
It is not so heavy but the roll centre is very low, weight balance is good and traction control is electronically assisted. Road holding is therefore very good.
Monday morning QB. At 55 on the freeway it was just a failure to yield, not a full-fledged pursuit. You don't P.I.T. everyone who doesn't pull over immediately.
Or better yet, just not chase them. If a person decides to drive off from police, they should get the make/model of the car and the license plate, then arrest the driver later.

Welcome to Los Angeles, the car chase capitol of the world. Drive crazy and the police back off into tracking mode which increases the chance for escape.
More and more people are all ready driving like this, they know all they have to do is get a little squirrly and the cops back off. And if they do get caught or crash, the Cops find out it was just somebody that didn't want to get a ticket.. On another note, if this cop was in the new explorer, he'd be long gone.
jose Navarrete Didn’t have his license plate number at the very beginning, of this has name ,address everything ?what was the point? At those speeds it’s way too dangerous just wait for the guy at his house.
What if innocent lives would have been lost? They had the plate. A chase like this ended a half a block from out house. The suspects took out a fire hydrant and two concrete pillars which end over ended their vehicle landing inches from a propane refueling station. The area that would have been affected and the loss of life is unthinkable if they had blown that tank.
I think the officer avoided impact at the last second with inches to spare, flew by on the left, went to 7-Eleven and got a Slurpee, came back and cuffed the suspect who got a cramp and couldn't move. Either that, or pretended the Mercedes' trunk was a drive thru car wash that takes cars at 75 mph?
That Car Left That Police Officer Like He Was Standing Still! Damn That Thing Was Fast!!! The Officer Was Lucky There Was Construction On The Highway. That Allowed Him To Catch Up!
The officer is chasing a Mercedes Convertible, which is highly maneuverable and built like a tank...the police officer did great keeping up with this p.o.s....I used to drive these streets everyday..
😂 Someone should start doing voice-overs or something for the people inside the suspect's vehicles for these chases. We know the cops don't say what they're thinking because they know its recorded....but I'd love to have the suspect's vehicles wired for sound... I know I could come up with some fucking hilarious conversations for them
For all of you who say that the camera was busted on impact, I hate to tell you but the camera shut down before Impact! They probably cut the recording off because they did not want to show the blood and guts! That Mercedes got messed up!
I'm not a bit surprised both drivers went to the hospital. Public Safety Office Dustin Bak musta hit him going at least 70 mph. I would've like to have seen that. Maybe too traumatic to view.
the police should buy German cars then the police would capture the fugitive car driver faster, it is already very difficult to capture a v8 Mercedes Benz
K05 T4R Thanks for the update - you’re right, that is relatively minor damage. I even watched it on the site you pointed to, but it still looks like a 70 mph crash.
Try to prove who was driving...and why did the driver run? Trunk full of dope? Two kidnapped kids? Just killed a bunch of people? The perp has already shown a complete disregard for the lives of others. Get them off the street.
I imagine them extracting the body with pepper spray and flashbangs until the remainder of the car erupts in a ball of flames and they decided to extract the corpse in the morning.
Wow, that police officer chasing after the crazy driver is an awesome driver! I’m exhausted and almost having a full blown anxiety attack just watching this. I’m guessing the crash happened just after the video cuts off. Did either of them have serious injuries? Is there any video of the crash? Or any updates, since this was 1&1/2 to 2 years ago? Very intense video!
Apparently the Officer was taken to the Hospital and treated for minor injuries and later went home.. The Benz driver was also taken to the Hospital and treated for his injuries sustained in the crash and treated an then taken into Police Custody and charged with a plethora of charges.... Both Officer and Suspect are ok.

They took the video directly from the PD which had the ending cut. The youtube poster had nada to do with it.
It’s mad different watching a chase when you know the area their running through lol
I used to live down the road from the big chicken at Plantation Ridge apts, and worked out on Windward Parkway. Drove this route every single day, lol.
So you pretty much know where they are at? 🤔
That's darn awesome!
for real

That Driver should be Banned from driving for Life.
Damn, the guy had the trooper beat! He was so far ahead when he got off onto Roswell Rd. If he would've taken that 1st immediate right turn, the trooper would have drove right by. I love my Fords but you just can't beat those Euro cars for top end speed & handling. Even a shitty driver has an advantage just by being in one, but on state & local roads it's about being cool under pressure and the skill to out drive instead of out run! That's where most come short.
Not that Ford Taurus SHO though my man. I can say it’s much faster…..

Does anyone else think this could've been a fatal crash?
Mick Man For the Officer, no.
For the suspect, yes.
@@smr0m670 Hopefully
@@smr0m670 I just read the news article, the officer only had minor injuries. The suspect was taken to the hospital as well but they didn't say a thing about him
@@smr0m670 I was hoping to see the suspect squirt out the windows of the Benz. Like a red paste.
Last 15 seconds consisted of some top notch driving on the officer’s part
What about the first 20 minutes?
If constant understeering and missing several PIT opportunities is “top notch” then I guess. But there’s a reason cops are killed by their own vehicles more than by felonious assault (I.E. being shot) because of driving like this. Cop was lucky he didn’t crash several times. Granted, the brakes on these cars simply aren’t adequate to cope with this type of chase.
This officer was boss behind the wheel. That Merc should've smoked that 2ton charger. Props for takin him out at the end. He certainly wasn't gonna let that Trooper have him.👍👍
Bigga Winna Crapsa first 20 minutes were great too, last 15 seconds were just a bit more intense
JayWard413 we’re all better than the next guy in our heads, but like most things it’s different when you’re actually in that position
This ends like when playing an entire video game and you're just about to take the bad guy out....the computer freezes. Uugghh!!
I keep coming back every time to this car chase, the most epic one on youtube
Even up against the Arkansas Hellcats, you think so????
Those guys tear ass on the police like an athlete drinks water, no fuqks given.
Great chase and one tenacious officer. Hope you are healed and well again.
Damn....I use to live/work in that area for years... There's rarely a time when the roads are that clear of cars!!!
"Bolling is charged with fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving, DUI-less safe, driving without a valid license, harassing communication and aggravated stalking."
So it WAS a FELONY! Good, I hope the guy goes away for a long time BUT it is Fulton County!
Some damn good driving throughout the whole video
It makes me wonder if people really think that it's better for the state to take care of them rather than being a good citizen and taken care of yourself.
i swear that was the most exciting thing i've seen all year
Ck out Seattle washington chasing a camaro, THAT will make your day.
8:02 he was asked " IS IT SAFE "
The polic care as much about public safety as any person they are chasing, its almost always get that person at all costs
Why did the video end before the best part? Haha
I have to say that there are a lot of vollidioten in the US rumlaufen, that's frightening what the food manipulated from human hands so everything makes, only good that our German government does not let that the shit gehanmanipulierten food not be introduced to Germany may
I can tell you Why did the video end up in front of the best part? because the police car broke down, US cars are just useless, man says in Germany he was for Ford and never came back hahaha
MsLandser Yes, maybe you're right, that was a hard crash so maybe the camera broke down
MsLandser yeah my 98 ford motor heads are made of cast iron while your “BMWs” are made of aluminum. Owned both, I can say bmw are pieces of trash. US cars will outlast yours and will always be cheaper to maintain. Have fun with your plastic and aluminum. I’ll stay old school USA. 😂
Juan Cruz Casanova, I know, I was so devo when that happened...
I would suggest the viewers to always jump to the end of any of these videos first, to see if they are complete, before starting to watch from the beginning.
I always do. I only watch for the crash or wipeout.
Geez! They came to that abrupt stop at the end and I almost launched out of my easy chair. WTF!
That was an epic video! I was wondering why it had so many dislikes until the very end
What many people don't understand is that yes, the Mercedes Benz is fast, but it's also very heavy. That's why it's virtually impossible to spin one out.
It is not so heavy but the roll centre is very low, weight balance is good and traction control is electronically assisted. Road holding is therefore very good.
Should’ve pitted him when he was on the highway going 55mph instead of waiting until he’s in town going over a 100 mph
Monday morning QB. At 55 on the freeway it was just a failure to yield, not a full-fledged pursuit. You don't P.I.T. everyone who doesn't pull over immediately.
Stfu fucking civilian you have no idea on department policy stupid bitch lol
Dude could drive. And I have never seen the streets so empty in GA.......
Must have been around 3am or so
Stupid cop. Several chances to pit the perp and didn't sustain contact. I hope the rest of our LEOs don't drive this poorly.
Or better yet, just not chase them. If a person decides to drive off from police, they should get the make/model of the car and the license plate, then arrest the driver later.
Driver was 49 year old John Bolling, from Alpharetta, Georgia. Bolling is charged with felony fleeing and eluding, speeding, reckless driving, DUI, failure to maintain lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to obey traffic control devices, and driving while unlicensed.
Officials said he was also wanted for an aggressive stalking warrant in Forsyth County and a DUI in Broward County, Florida.
That benz driver was slacking I would have been gone
Go for it, we'd love to see the video of you getting away.
I woukd have cut the lights when he wasnt in the rear view and hit a back road
But, you would have gotten yours, eventually!
seems the cop hit him hard on purpose. split second decision
So the cop thought it was better to swerve right and hit him at some unreasonable speed instead of avoiding him.
The most incredible footage ever. One of them . If you can't be a race car drive be a Statey or highway patrol. These men and women have to make split second decisions weather to pit these fools in to the trees or let them live, plus at the same time these people want to make it home at night or morning. Hey kids out there do your home work and and study for the asvab. Go state police cause they will give you a bad ass car and teach you how to drive it. NASCAR probably is not gonna work out , but we need highway patrol. 🤯
I am really surprised not see any sponsorship decals - automotive industry is missing a huge marketing opportunity.
To think the whole time all he had to do was call Lester and clear his wanted level😂😂😂

they need to put mercedes engines in cop cars, damn!
Its a 06-14 Chevy Impala PPV which has a V6 cyclone 302HP engine. They don't have the type of money in do that. The Impala police cars do 150mph(242km/h)+.
Goes to show you a badge don't give them driving skills!
well if a police abandon a pursuit like this one, then more and more people will run from police, and most of this are drug dealers or dangerous criminals, then we are to blame on security forces, COME ON they have to stop them somehow. God bless all of us AMEN
Its not a good idea to try to chase anyone in a car so heavy. Driving at these speeds with this vehicle is plain stupid
Aaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhh! I want to see the ending!
They don't have 7-Elevens in georgia
This is the reason every police cruiser should be a chevy with an LT4 in it. A hellcat wouldn't even be able to outrun them
That Car Left That Police Officer Like He Was Standing Still!
Pretty good driving by the officer.
Boot licker little Jeffrey boy hehe
😂 Someone should start doing voice-overs or something for the people inside the suspect's vehicles for these chases. We know the cops don't say what they're thinking because they know its recorded....but I'd love to have the suspect's vehicles wired for sound... I know I could come up with some fucking hilarious conversations for them
That'd be one hilarious idea! I'd think of it like GTA style, with the characters just talking
For all of you who say that the camera was busted on impact, I hate to tell you but the camera shut down before Impact! They probably cut the recording off because they did not want to show the blood and guts! That Mercedes got messed up!
The cop car cornered better than the Mercedes...proof that it takes more than a fast car to outrun police.
MsLandser No police departments want to pay the ridiculous maintaince costs involved with having a German car
shut the fuck up you 10 year old
Both cars are easily repairable. I've rebuilt cars totaled worse than both combined where people died in them 0.o
K05 T4R Thanks for the update - you’re right, that is relatively minor damage. I even watched it on the site you pointed to, but it still looks like a 70 mph crash.
That pursuit should have been ended way before that! They had his plate number! Talk about public safety!
Doesn’t mean it’s not stolen or fake though
Try to prove who was driving...and why did the driver run? Trunk full of dope? Two kidnapped kids? Just killed a bunch of people? The perp has already shown a complete disregard for the lives of others. Get them off the street.
This should end in the "To be continued..." music meme.
Is there an uncut version somewhere? ? Link???
Three missed PITs, and where the hell were the spike strips on BOTH sides of the road?
I believed that was a complete crash to the rear end to end the chase to my educational knowledge.
That pit was WAF, had a chance and blew it!
Using signals while felony evading... priceless,
Well he didn't want that extra ticket for improper lane changing. +1 to the driver!
Tyrant cop 👮♀️ should go to jail for hitting there car.
Is there a continuing tape
The ending is up to the viewer imagination.
Video posted from a News agency that doesn’t tell the whole story. Seems familiar
@@OrbitFallenAngel The judge should let them both go settle it, once & for all, on a track. Same cars, on a figure 8 track, 1 mile oval
