    Hey Tylar,
That tree actually grew through the wire, not the other way round .
Man it is so cool that you will let the little man handle tools so he can learn and someday teach his own offspring !
My Dad abandoned my mother, my three little sisters and myself when I was seven years old so I learned very little from him.
Except what not to do !
I was born with natural mechanical abilities and understanding of so many ways to do things.
This was something that fortunately neighbors and older folks picked up on and would teach me so many ways to deal with projects or problems.
Some of those great folks gave me old tools and knowhow to use them.
I have tried to pass on to others in my life the ways I was taught.
At 75 years old, and though I am now slightly disabled, I now have a head full of knowledge and a garage full of tools and equipment to work on so many projects I enjoy.
Please stay close to that boy.
Guide him in the right ways to handle life and the challenges it gives us.
Continue teaching him to use hand tools, eventually power tools and most of all how to acquire knowledge of the world and it's ways.
I sometimes tear up watching you and Owen out on the boat, or when unloading the treasures you collect magnet fishing, as well as times like this project.
You are teaching your son, as well as other folks more than you realize.
Thank you so much for the enjoyment I Get from your videos.

Hey Tyler! Chicken farming is awesome!! A suggestion if I may.... get some fence post staples and staple the chicken wire to the coop on the side the gate isn't on. That'll keep critters from coming thru the gap... Foxes will dig, coyotes will jump fences, and raccoons will dig and climb anything even trees to get in... I had a shade cloth that went from the middle of one wall to the ground for them to get under for shade, and if a predator comes from above they'd run under it. They come with grommets in the corners so a couple of C hooks into the shed and tent stakes in the ground kept it secure. You're on to a great experience with chickens, they are awesome and even friendly!! I learned the hard way though......if you have an open water container like a small stock tank, they'll jump on the sides to drink, and they cant swim! You'll probly want to invest in some mouse traps for inside the coop, as well as some type of mite control... I used something called "wonder dust" and put it on the hay in their boxes...should work on ticks too. I also used straw hay for their boxes that I kept in a big metal trash can. Love your videos and can't wait till the next one!
    Robin, (retired chicken herder) LOL!!

🙋Hello guys! So good to see y'all back out on the farm. Tyler! I can tell you about every kind of chicken there is. I had a half of acer full of chickens and ducks ect. If you've never heard of Murray McMurry chicken order book. That farm can mail you yourchicks of every kind. U do not want to get silkies unless they stay n a covered dried area because they will get sick quick. Rhode Island Reds, Barbed Rocks, Silver Laced Winedots are very good to start out with. U DO NOT have to have a roaster either in order for them to lay eggs ok. Just get them some laying mash when they get big. Y'all enjoy them and keep an eye out on snakes. God bless

Any spare wire netting can be laid on the ground on the outside up against the fence. That will help prevent vermin digging in to the chickens. Just remember its there when you need to slash grass.

Just a thought that might help you in your chicken endeavor, let certain areas go to wild, and leave some piles of wood to decompose in their areas, and leave a bunch of oak leaf litter down. Itll attract lots of bugs, rodents, and other creatures that will provide free protein, and better yolks. Plus its kind of amazing to see chickens swarm and kill mice or snakes. Oak leaf litter can also help stop flooding by absorbing water and purifying it. Looks great, be wary of them flying over the fence when theyre out

Make sure to keep an eye on those zip ties because the sun makes them brittle and they will break on you, that’s why you had to cut the wiring off the t post that held the chicken wire on, I had my chicken wire attached to the t post using that type of wire because it lasts for a really long time, we live in south Mississippi and only have 1 acre and we’ve had so many different types of animals it’s crazy lol, my wife was doing the gardening of vegetables and fruits, oh another thing I don’t know if you’ve checked out is the little bantam chickens they are really cool, anyway love the video thank you for sharing bro.

Oh man you are so ambitious. Chickens are so much work. You are going to have to shut them in the coop every night and let them out in the morning. If you don't you won't have any chicken come morning. That fence you put in will stop smaller animals but coyotes will go right through it. You shouldn't have any trouble with coyotes in the day time but nighttime is another thing.
