SAME/SIMILAR PROCESS FOR OTHER SPORT ATVS Alrighty I show you guys how to replace your carrier on a sport ATV, specifically a Honda 400ex. Hope it helps!
Is it normal for the berrings to have a lil play on the onside diameter between the axle and berrin or is is supposed to be tight. I mean new berrings.
@@TeamWaxOffroad thats what i thought. So what would cause a fairly new durable 40 in eliminator axle to have a good gap between the new berrings i got and the axle where they ride
Thanks for the video but you didnt go over tightening the axle nuts. Also might want to put your chain master link clip with the open end facing the back opposite the direction of the chain so it don't get knocked loose somehow.
I know, I just wanted to make sure they knew which way to turn to tighten. And I made sure to do that with my clip the next time I had it off. Thanks for the feedback man, appreciate it!
Made it look easy Lando. Great vid!!! 👍🏁
That’s what I’m gonna try to go for from now on lol!
Excellent video, you helped so many riders with this video. 🙂
Thanks man, if it helps one person I’d be happy!
@@TeamWaxOffroad I don't own a sport quad, but i was fascinated how the rears were designed, thank you
@@maraudermitchelli yeah they have a pretty simple design compared to these newer quads
Good job. I like how you had what you were doing typed at the bottom of the screen as you went along.
I like this method way better, glad you do too!
👍👍👍Tutorials are always helpful Lando...

What carrier did you use and why didn't you use new O Rings on the carrier, brake holder and the hubs?
Nice job bud solid vid gonna have my kid do this to his 400 learn him a thing or 2!
thats the only way to learn, thanks!
Awesome vid and edits and filming and bike and shop

Actually looked easier than I ever thought
It’s easier than I thought as well that was my first time ever trying it lol
Nice Job.
Very good lando;;
Thanks mamaw!
Do you have a part # for that Posi Lock Axle Nut ?
Good video guys!
thanks!
Quick question I’m installing a new carrier, chain and sprockets. How do I know which way to face the carrier when I slide it in?Thanks.
The hole in the carrier is off center. Slide it in with the hole closest to the engine.
Nice video Lando! What’s the trick to getting quad parts to show up in the mailbox 📬?
Amazon lol, fast shipping!

Needs to be tight but not a press fit.

Good job. Technically u replaced the whole carrier assembly not just the bearings. That can be the hard part.
Yes i replaced the carrier, I just call it the carrier bearings lol, my bad
I got the same bearing carrier were there not suppose to be rubber I rings placed in the outside grooves
Original carriers do have rubber o rings but this particular one did not. We just filled it with grease.

Great video. But you don’t have to remove the skid plate right?
I don't think so, I did anyway to make sure
Are are the holes on the tusk carrier used for?
To turn the carrier when its on your swingarm so you can loosen/tighten your chain
Does the trx250x take the same bearing?
Honestly don’t know
The whole carrier still moves around when inside the axel along with the disk and sprocket what’s the problem?
It should still spin until you get everything on there tight, are you saying that it wobbles or just spins?
@@TeamWaxOffroad The carrier just spins and the axle it self doesn't spin alone, it spins along with the carrier
Either you need to tighten your carrier bolts or your bolt holes are stripped
Can’t get my snap ring back on
I did everything in the video but my axle keeps sliding out of the axle why is that happening
My axle slides out of the carrier
Did you install snap ring?
no o rings anywhere?
Nope, pack with grease. O rings don’t last
Is it still holding up
Yes
I think you missed the O-rings for the bearing carrier
No O-rings on this carrier. Pack with grease.
Except I could hear the carrier bearing rattle when you shook the Chinesium hub. That's really not good.
still going strong today so it’s not too shabby
wd40 eats aluminum up, spray that shit on a alum. dirt bike sprocket u will have 0 teeth left
Never seen a aluminum sprocket!!??
Whaaa? No It Won't
