What is the height of your desktop from the ground? If I’m not mistaken, the bekant storage unit is only but 2 feet tall. Those pegs can’t offer much more than an inch or 2

I have similar desk set up and my suggestion is you should use different type c cable with 2 different type c hub and I recommend belkin type c hub which delivers 60w and 4K@60hz. If you do this you will not need to plug-in plug out your cable every time. You will switch via monitor. Also you should think to change your keyboard with Logitech g915 tkl 😏

Love the desk setup the only thing I would recommend for you is a monitor arm instead of using the built in one it’ll make the space more clean and free up desk space for you.
Love the laptop storage, but do you have to take each laptop out, open it and turn it on and put it back every time you want to use it? (I've had to store both my laptops side by side so I can open them to turn them on as stacking them got dull really fast)

It's just a decor piece from a local australian retailer called Salt&Pepper.

I used a couple of those flat round coat hook (something like this: www.ikea.com/au/en/p/skogsviken-hook-black-50428702/). The part with the screw fixing goes into the bottom of the table top. Then I used 3M Non-Slip Gripping Pads on the outer flat round part to prevent slip and protect the top of the drawer from scratches.

I was questioning about the same thing. I have the same XPS model and I have been debating about the best way to put it aside without damaging it or hindering the performance
@@goncaloborges7925 You can place it on a vertical stand. That's not the problem when I talked about laptop cooling. Plus, it looks good and minimal. Just make sure you place it upside down so that the air exhausts are facing upward and make sure nothing is directly behind the laptop as the one in the video, which blocks the air intake.
It's working fine as I always take the back laptop out when editing or rendering videos which is typically outside working hours so not an issue.
I like your style of organizing your apartment. Very neat and functional.
I chosen a similar look for my desktop area. I went with the walnut wooed instead but also from the same series from IKEA.
I also have the Alex drawersunit.
But you have great ideas to complement it with an underneath drawer and the valley tray.
My laptop fits well between the Alex unit and the bench itself so it is out of the way as well but I really liked that vertical laptop stand too.

A simple yet good desk setup .Not too fancy but still serves all the purpose .
No cap.....but you dont need that much gear for the size of your channel...you can buy it over time....
Working from home + creating content… Id say this set up is the perfect size :)
Is the bonsai real?
Are you struggling to percieve the 34 inch monitor ? This desk does not have a sizeable depth . I am going to make a similar desk build. But I have worries, would you suggest it with a 34 or 49 inch monitor? Very very nice desk setup. Welldone!
34" is perfect as the table is not too deep. I'd say 49" is too wide unless you go for a deeper table.
@@reynardlowell in my opinion you chose the most beautiful countertop among them all in ikea. The Karlby version does not have this color consistency, and this one seems a bit lighter and brighter, which refreshens us and supports productivity, rather than disturb the focus with patterns. That's why I guess I will opt for the same color combo of black and light oak. Beautiful build, thanks again..
where did you get the legs to hold up the IKEA BEKANT Storage Unit (Mesh Black) underneath the worktop?
The legs of the BEKANT Storage Unit came with the product itself. Very nice and simple for sure, but this luxury is for those who have their own house, people like me who are renting wont spend this much as they can be kicked out tomorrow, moving all this can be huge struggle waste or money.
I'm actually renting, but the whole unit so there's lease and contract where I can't just get kicked out. I'd probably go a simpler route if it was a temporary situation; something like the budget desk setup I made for my girlfriend on my other video.

Those are flat round wall hooks that I use to raise the table top. A little bit of DIY.
