Wuben was super slow with actually getting the lights out once the Kickstarter ended, mine should be arriving next week. Your vid got me to pull the trigger on backing, super excited to get hands on with it. Thanks for the great review.
The red light got me interested in the x3. I have the other Wuben edc L-shaped light and needed to navigate a drive in theater in the dark. Felt like I was flashbanging people on my way to the concession stand. Red light is a lot less harsh on the human eye, so I like this option for future public events in low light
Backed the White X3, but I'm a little worried about the lumen output. I tend to agree about chasing lumens, but having 700 lumen as a high would be nice. 1000 gets a bit high for my needs, but 500-700 is handy.
Hey there, I am hoping to get that one too, but I'm a little confused about the price part, are the bigger numbers with the HK next to them, hong kong dollars, and do you know why it says "463 or more"? I'm new to kickstarter.
Great video as always, but just curious. When you going to release that review on the Nitecore SRT7i??? I know you got it sir 😉. Thanks for the awesome videos and reviews!
Looks like a cool flashlight. I ordered it like 2 weeks ago and am still having problems with receiving it or any tracking because it comes from china and the shipping is always trash.
I went to place an order after watching this video, however I can not seem to find where or how to order the dual light (as mentioned in this video) instead of having one red and one white light?
RUclips or someone else deleted my comment earlier: There are 2 choices of owl lights. One is $82 with a stand-up charger, and the other is $110 with a box charger like in this video. Amazon.
Is that charging case made of that soft silicone like surface finish. I hate that stuff! I kive the the caribbean and this stuff gets sticky and disintegrates in a year or 2. Horrible stuff. No matter the brand or product, overtime it gets sticky. So i eother throw away the prodict or scape that horrendous stuff of.
I ordered mine from Amazon just last week. This is such a cool idea but the clip is terrible. Yeah it works for clipping to your shirt pocket or hat maybe, but you cannot clip it into a pocket because it doesn't sit deep enough. It's really sorta awkward to carry.
I don’t think so. It looks to be the exact same wallet just different materials. The functionality should still be the same. Unless you’re talking about a wallet I’m not aware of
Why does it actually show 700-200 in the burst mode. Can that be changed or something. Also weird that the 1200lum has the same output time even thought its way higher. Same goes for high mode, that should not be the case. More power means less time
Yeah not sure if they scrapped that from the kickstarter version here. I just did a video on the retail release and there’s no dual white leds there either
@@ChrispyThings I just don't understand. It directs me to the payment page after the checkout. Normally, you have to enter your shipping details first. Are they going to ship the product when you support the project, or do you have to wait for the project to be successful before they ship it to you?
The project is already backed. If you back the project you are guaranteed to get a flashlight. Production usually starts right after the kickstarter ends and flashlights you ordered are shipped usually a couple months after that. I've backed their last 2 projects and everything was fine.
I’ve seen 9 different reviews for this flashlight being done by dudes sitting at a desk facing a camera with shelving in the background adorned with hip nicknacks and very retro, warm mood lighting. There is no reason to watch more than one review as they are all EXACTLY the same. No disrespect to you personally, this is well made content that is delivered credibly. The problem is I’ve seen the same reasonably presented content and the exact same “set” over and over and over and over. If I can’t tell if I’ve already watched your review or not because it’s so similar to the rest of the crowd, I don’t need to keep watching to verify it one way or the other. Been there done that.
@@ChrispyThings Great response. Last night after I left my comment on your video I saw literally 5 more “dudes” sitting in front of warm lightbulbs, placed on shelves filled with “cool shit” saying the same exact talking points on the exact same flashlight. I don’t know if you guys are all buying the same AI generated backgrounds or if you built your set by carefully watching all the other RUclips channels and you are just copying them. You may want to spend a few minutes searching on youtube so you can see what a voiceless clone you are, you may want to reconsider what you’re doing with your life. But something tells me you already know exactly what all the other RUclips channels look like. And that’s pretty crazy bro, less than an hour after you posted your comment and you already got a thumbs up. You gave yourself a thumbs up, you sad pathetic internet ghoul.
Why not show the most important bit. The white torch light modes. This video is a total fail for missing out the most obvious thing people need to see.
What are you talking about. I show ALL of the white light modes. Way to not watch my video then cry and complain. The only thing that’s a “total fail” here is your comment.
What?! I'm so lost, why didn't you finish the video, great video, am I'm off to go back the light and get me one, thanks for the great informative content.
I will not spend more than $20 on a flashlight with batteries that can't be swapped. Not only is that a serious deficiency in the field (camping, hiking, night work, etc) but it means that the flashlight is essentially a throwaway. Having unswappable batteries only serves one purpose: to force consumers to purchase a new one when the batteries lose enough capacity to make the light unreliable and worthless. Please everyone, join me in pushing back on this point. We deserve better than that.
It strikes me as highly unlikely that a person who holds such a fierce stance on the specifics of their flashlight will use the same flashlight long enough to have the built in battery life the reason you no longer carry it. Flashlight technology advances so fast that any regular flashlight user or collector will be buying new flashlights with more up to date technology as it becomes available. You’re not wrong about it being a throw away light after the battery dies, but your argument is irrelevant. It seems like half of the comments in flashlight review comment sections are people swearing on their children’s lives that they’ll never buy a flashlight with a battery they can’t replace like it’s part of their religion or something.
Wuben X3 on Kickstarter: wuben-x3-edc-flashlight.kckb.st/bb9ca4cc
wow i want that. i love all the features they put in. all of them. i ll buy it as soon as it comes out. love the glow in the dark too, lol.
Wuben the best since 1981. Very innovative two thumbs up for wuben 👍👍
Impressive! Appreciate the thorough review. I’m definitely interested in the production model.

Great review so far, thanks for sharing this video with us.

And the 700 doesn’t last long. Only good for short bursts. But high at 150 was perfectly fine for mostly everything I used the light for

I actually don’t have that yet! Not sure if I’ll get to it soon either since I’m leaving for a month for work.

You can turn off the two side blue case charging lights by clicking 5x 😊
Yep. I mentioned that in this video too
Interesting!
i like it but cant see a single use case that not better suited to a different light

RUclips is weird with comments. Usually they delete comments with swear words
They tend to delete comments with outbounds links. It's also getting clever, even adding spaces it some times deletes the comment

I think Boruit v3 and v10 are much cheaper & better..
A lanyard made from the charging cable. WHY ISN'T EVERYONE DOING THAT?
