Happy to see Weltool getting the recognition it deserves. These lights are built incredibly well. They lean more towards tactical and outdoors, so I understand why UI and form factor might be a little off putting to some that need more EDC oriented light. Really enjoy my T17, T13G and T1 Pro Tac. Hopeful to get more in the future.

Glad to hear that they generally have a reputation for reliability. I just had a T12 Nine Dragons fail on me within 20 minutes of testing in the backyard. But I am going to chalk that up to being unlucky this time.
Legendary firearms trainer Pat Rogers told me he had never seen an Aimpoint fail. I had one go down in a Pat MacNamara class with less than one hour on it. These things do happen. Hopefully, not at the wrong time.

One thing to note about Weltool lights is they tend to use beefy springs on both ends for their tactical lights which is more robust and reliable and can use batteries of varying lengths. Their weapon lights are also compatible with industry standard scout mounts, surefire tailcaps and remote switches. And they are beginning to utilize epoxy potting in some of their light heads for recoil resistance. Imo they are making their lights the right way for a pretty reasonable price. I believe they have some knowledgeable people helping them with r&d.

@jalee6587 well, let's not get carried away... None of those are the best quality, and some are pretty low on the quality ladder... I own or have owned lights from all of those brands and I stand by my exact original comment. Some are good utility/hobby lights, some are decent quality lights, but when it comes to specific purpose driven lights Weltool beats those others but doesn't beat everyone...and their price point indicates that they are aware of that, so that's really another big positive. Second in that list I'd give to Fenix. Everyone else is wherever they or whoever else wants them to be after that; I'd put them in my glovebox or kitchen drawer but not in my pocket. I understand that not everyone wants what I want or knows what I know or demands what I demand so I try not to crap on stuff, but sometimes I may get a little on it when space is limited...

T2 is fine as it is but the reality is that with a 26.5mm head diameter you could definitely get higher numbers of candela with other leds and drivers in it, as some manufacturers are already doing like Convoy with their 24.2mm head diameter lights like the S2,S6,S8,S2+ with the Osram w1 or w2 in them.
What i did is that i chose both to increase brightness and also increase the candela by ordering a custom Weltool T2 with the SBT90.2 led in it and a customisable driver. And now i am planning to buy another T2 with the Osram w1 in it. T2 +w1 osram should reach 65-75.000 candela with the 26.5 head diameter.
The same applies for the T1 pro. In order for the T1 pro to be able to accomodate ordinary AA bateries the driver in it isn't able to push enough lumens out of the lithium cells. For example at the same head diameter of 20mm exists the Lumintop fw1aa and that sucker can push 30.000 candela at around 700 lumens with the Osram w1 led in it. Since i already own the fw1aa i can't justify to buy the Weltool t1 pro tac even though it's a far superior tactical light. I would definitely choose to get a custom T1 pro with the w1 led and a proper driver in it instead.
So generally weltool are on the right track, they offer quality lights, build to last, with great design and tactical features, but they could do better on the performance side of things by ditching the dual fuel compatibility with the cr123 and AA bateries. And since they like to release the same lights with different ui's then they should try and release the TAC versions with max performance and maybe with a customisable ui in them like some other lights they have.
The only lights that i know from Weltool that have max performance are their LEP offerings like the W4 pro and their small 14500 W2 and these i would certainly buy straight from Weltool without doubt. But their reflector flashlights i couldn't justify buying them, no way, Convoy and other companies offer higher performance lights at a fraction of the price of the stock T2. And another bad thing weltool is doing is that most of their lights except for the T2 and a couple of others carry no striking bezel at all, while simultaneously they market themselves as a tactical flashlights company which to me it doesn't make any sense.
Similarly sized to the stock T2 exists a far superior flashlight at half the price if you order it from Ali.
The Nitecore mh12pro with the following features the Weltool T2 doesn't have:
-65.000 candela, 500 meters of throw
-21700 cell with 5300mah and thus better runtimes
    -Type c rechargeable
-More capable as an edc with the side switch and 4 output modes as well a moonlight, strobe, sos, beacon
-Greater lumen output at 3300 lumens vs the 1900 of the T2 which allow for a very big hotspot that also throws at 65.000 candela
Generally though i always carry my custom T2 sbt90.2 with me and the Nitecore mh12pro stays at home cause the T2 with the sbt90.2 produces more lumens 4300 and creates a bigger hotspot thus is a better self defence tool cause it's easier to target an assailant's eyes from a close distance in a stressful situation. And the candela is very close to the mh12pro as well around 55-60.000.

Of course, I will have to see for myself if these Weltool are "the best" you can get. When it comes to these types of lights that are too big for the keychain category, but too small for the tactical EDC category. I have become a big fan of Rovyvon. Particularly The A28, A23, Aroura A2, S3, and the S3Ti. You can program them to turn on at any level you choose (Lo, Med, Hi, Turbo) with a double click. All are C-Type chargeable. 600 lumens in a light smaller than a tube of Chapstick - Or 1200 Lumens in a light about the size of a roll of Lifesavers. Do you have an affiliate link for Weltool?

Attach a mainstream name brand, "EDC" or "Tactical" to any product and the price gets jacked up 4 to 10 times or more with everything.
I have found the exact same bags, lights, backpacks, pry bars, etc., etc. for a fraction of the cost in off brands made with the same materials and same quality.
    Examples:
I have a maxpedition water bottle bag that was $60 and I found the exact same bag for $15 in an off brand. Compared... Same materials, same stitching, same color. Side by side, no difference except for the maxpedition tag.... and the cheaper one came with a shoulder strap/belt strap and molle straps.
Popular brand EDC pouch (5" x 7" roughly) $65... Off brand Same everything $10.
A popular brand pry bar $200 and found the exact same one for $32. No difference other than the brand tagging on it and the packaging.
Popular brand AA flashlight $68. Off brand $16. Same everything including the brightness, throw, modes, etc..
I can list quite a few more examples.
I started selling off (and returning if possible) all my expensive branded stuff as I find the same thing or better for much less.
These companies are extorting us all with their jacked up prices.

    @ParkerBinion 9 месяцев назад +9

I consider 40K candela the minimum for self-defense. At that point, the light is more than annoying but actually uncomfortable to look at. More candela is better, but it's not linear. 80K is not twice as bright as 40K, rather it is a 4:1 doubling ratio (160K is twice 40K). Also, you want a candela to lumen ratio of 25 to 50, and more specifically 30 to 40. Here the T2 Pro Tac comes in at 46.5K candela at 25 to 1 so all good. But when we look at cost, you are paying "$116 or best offer" for that flashlight. With a 10% welcome bonus and a 10% TopCashBack referral, I paid less than $70 for the AceBeam Defender P16 with 58.5K candela at 32 to 1. List price is $85.

The size of the hotspot is as important as the candela. There comes a point where too much candela (ie too narrow a beam) is counter-productive for self defence purposes. From what I understand the T2 Tac has a good balance of candela but with a sufficiently large hotspot

I bought two flashlights based on positive reviews from this guy. Two worst lights I could’ve bought.
    1. Weltool T1Pro Tac. It has the worst driver you can imagine. Zero regulation AND zero temperature step down. This thing gets so HOT you need to wear gloves to switch it off.
    2. Sofirn SP10 Pro. Yes, it’s Anduril 2.0 flashlight but it’s about all good about it. The worst AA/145000 flashlight you can buy with worst tint. Wurkkos TS10 v2, Convoy T3 and Emisar D3AA are ENDLESSLY better.
His knife reviews maybe useful for some but he has no idea about flashlights or his positive reviews are sponsored.

It's $58 I'll just get a Sofirn SC33 or Wurkkos at that price, sure it's not tiny but it'll have more uses much more practical. If they reduce the price to $25-$30 I might consider that, but $58 on a tiny 500LM EDC isn't good for me.

@@KevinWood44 To be completely fair, I don't think that Weltool lights are "potted" (but I could be wrong), so technically they are not rated for rifle recoil blasts. Modlites are "fULLy pOtTed aNd tEsteD tO wiThStaND sELeCt FiRe SCAR 17 ReCoiL". Lol but jokes aside, I promise you with 100% certainty that you will love the T8 Plus TAC (runs 21700 batteries) and youll never need another tactical EDC light again. I've bought my entire family each their own T8 Plus TAC and for my lady, it's just that good. Don't even look at videos of it lol, just buy it and watch the power of the Sun blast from your fingertips lol. The only real dealbreaker that you might have in mind is that the tail cap doesn't allow the light to stand upright, but remember, the T8 Plus TAC is more a tactical/defensive EDC light with low mode capability, which is meant to be carried when you're out and about. Just make sure it's the actual TAC version which you can find on Killzone Flashlights if you look it up on google

If I get a flashlight this small I would want it to be for EDC which I would want a flood beam. If I want high candela then I would get that from a tactical bigger light. Nitecore EDC33 similar size, 35k candela, 3500 lumens, can switch spot and flood light. There is better.

I think Fenix and Nitecore out performs both of those lights. I have been using a Nitecore MH12S for a few years. It puts out up to 1800 lumins and has a strobe feature.
