I just want a version that's exactly the same except I don't need wireless charging, just stick a usb C port right on the device like everyone else. making sure I have the base with me or a wireless charger with me when traveling is annoying
Try Boruit.😊
I got the X3 and quite like it. The build quality is fantastic down to the little details. It's small, bright, love the LCD screen and power indicator.
There's two things that slightly bother me (though no major complain):
1. The battery life isn't that great, as the device is quite small and the LEDs powerful. I think for long nightly hikes through a National Park I wouldn't trust the X3 enough (especially since you cannot replace batteries like in a typical flashlight).
2. There is only one button but there's like over a dozen different modes that you can access with a combination of short and long presses. E.g. 4x short press = SOS mode. It's just way too many combinations to memorize all, so you either stick only to the basic main modes (3 levels of white light...) or you take the manual with you (or a photo thereof).
Otherwise great device.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the X3, this will definitely help everyone looking to buy one in the future. Thank you for your support as well.
If in doubt, try it out. All you got to remember is, that there is modes through multipresses. While using it, you can remind yourself by multipressing it and looking at what modes come out.
That thing looks neat. Subbed for more gadgets.
Merci pour cette vidéo complète.
Hey there, how can I make the red strobe mode work? I can only get it to work on white light.
Check the Manual, the many combinations are quite confusing. To switch between the white and red LED, you need a long + short press (or was it the other way around? I keep forgetting too but it's all in the manual on the last page)
@spIette, I think there's no strobe on the new versions. I asked the Wuben team, and they checked with their engineers. They mentioned the first batch of prototypes they sent to celebrity collaborators had a red light strobe mode, but it was later removed.
can someone tell me why mine's battery died after 2 days? i charged it fully once, used it a while, locked it and threw it in my pocket. Like an hour later i take it out to use it and boom battery dead. It still makes a noise when i plug it into the charger but nothing on the LCD screen or blue lights to indicate charge. Any ideas?
Maybe it's not dead and just locked out? Not sure if there's a lockout feature but I've done this a few times with other flashlights I own.
it's better with charger case...
Mine came locked. How do I unlock it and how do you make it glow on dark ?
Press the power button 4 times in a row and it will unlock. Did you get the clear version?
@@Tech_Review_HQ yes ?
I ordered one on kickstarter months ago. Still waiting for it to ship 😂
haha I just received my order from August 1
Sounds like something is wrong. I ordered form the website and got it delivered in ca. 2 weeks from Hong Kong.
Do you need my help? I'm on the WUBEN team and can solve your problem.
@jessicahe7315 I think I'm good now. I recieved an email a month ago saying they would include a free gift for because of the delay and then heard nothing again. I just reached out again via email and was asked to refill out an online survey that I had already done before. Hoping it ships soon but still haven't received tracking info. 😕
@@jessicahe7315 how long does it usually take for an international order from China to Germany?
3:26 You forgot to mention that red light allows you to keep your night vision way better.
Needs a usb c port badly
A red light doesn’t kill your “night vision”, your darkness adjusted eyes. Want to check on your children at night without disturbing them? Use a red light. They won’t notice. Photo-red or deep-red is even better.
No usb port.... lame.
If your phone supports reverse wireless charging, you can charge it and your phone at the same time
If it doesn’t have replaceable battery, I’m not interested.
With that criteria it knocks out almost all the best flashlights, especially smaller ones. Basically all batteries are replaceable, not hard to open a flashlight and solder a new battery.
Give me a break. Consumers dictate the market. Keep buying disposable flashlights, and they’ll keep selling them to suckers. Also you are pretty naive to think that the average consumer is going to break one of these open and solder a proprietary battery into it, when said battery is not commercially available. I edc an Olight S1A that I bought in 2017, and it works like a champ. In 2018 I foolishly bought a Rovy Von, and last year I threw it in the trash.
@@Argonaut80 nope, battery dimensions dictate the market. Can't build something if the parts for it don't exist. Small flashlights use rechargeable batteries because lithium ion batteries can easily be manufactured into almost any shape. Replaceable batteries have existing dimensions.
Again, it is not at all hard to resolder a battery, you can't complain about a problem and a solution when it's the only solution. If you actually take care of a lithium battery it will last years and you won't be throwing away batteries.
Your kit teaching me anything here. It’s still a disposable flashlight. And I’ll reiterate that 99% of the people that buy this will toss it when it fails. Also I’d like you to link a site where I can buy a battery that can be soldered into the Wuben X3. While your at it, why don’t you post a video showing how to take this light apart without destroying it. Until you do that, you can STFU. Have a great day.
Too bad they burned everyone with the kickstarter…
How so? What happened?
@@spIette tons of people including me only got half of their orders. they took forever to even tell their kickstarters of all the delays and then attempted to compensate with a discount if you bought something else. these are the same codes the rest of the public gets as well. i got an email a month ago that my dual white led x3 is out of stock, delayed or whatever excuse it is and can not be a thing anymore. i responded asking if dual white leds is still an option but no response. i sent another email asking for a full refund of everything and still no response.
Not me got mine though kick-starter,no issues.
$80?? Yeah right lol
use the 20% code brokie
The target group clearly isn't "everyone" but people who love gadgets and don't mind the money.
@@123jethrobrokie means you can't afford it (and also means whoever is saying it is a loser). He's not spending 80 bucks on a tiny ass flashlight, that's called being good with money, not broke.
Swap the wireless charging and add more milliamps and runtime and you will make my day
