One of the things that makes the original so brilliant is how understated it is right from the beginning, and it sets a kind of documentary tone, which makes the shocking scenes later on more believable. Obviously these hacks didn't get that memo.
I totally agree !- And not only that if u look at the make-up how they made this girl look its almost funny looking! Now the Original Regan she scared the living shit out of Generations of people with technology from the 70s! No easy task to say the least. Excorsist I remains the scariest movie of all time ( in my book at least)

And then when you do finally drive, they serve you harassment papers, and no one hardly helps you to put gas in your vehicle. Everybody hates you! And you’re put into a very bad situation. Everybody screaming at you! Then you wind up walking. How was I supposed to know this was going to be the hard on collection?
