Hey Jedd, I would say that as far as self-accompaniment goes you are masterful. I hope you feel that way about it. It's pretty amazing the way you're able to play those interesting melodic lines over the progressions and often a beautiful vocal as well. Have a great and safe trip man!
Thank you, once again. Greatly enjoying these shared videos. Lucious tones on this one...the finger pulls and extended chords took me to Hawaii and swaying palm trees for a second...I have been accused of having a sideways brain. Love your approach and execution. Inspiring. Safe journeys and wind in your sails.
Jedd, I went to your channel after seeing you and Tom Bukovac together. Playing with lighting, everything looked great. You played one of your songs. Awesome imagery! Beautiful melody. Hat’s off to you! JJZ…(°¿.°`)
Thanks for the video. I love the melody you played. Beautiful. Very cool to hear how you write songs. Very similar to how I try to write. Glad I’m not the only one who writes dozens and dozens of songs each year, just to hopefully come up with maybe a few somewhat “decent” ones.
@@JeddHughesOfficial roger that. Numbers game, love that. Indeed. I can only dream of getting to your caliber of writing/playing , but it’s sure fun trying. Thanks for the inspiration
I have the same issue with Cmaj.. funny, maybe we should flat the 5 in Cmaj.... that'll take the happy out! Haha. BTW... just discovered your channel.... great stuff Jed, thanks!
I bought that Hollywood tune off of iTunes after I heard you do it acoustically. I didn’t think I was going to like it with the whole band…. But that’s the mark of a great song it definitely works both ways!
Hey mate! I meant to message you back about that. Great question. I might another whole video about that and elaborate a bit more. Happy T-day to you too mate and thanks for the tip! Really appreciate it Joe.
I try to think of 'noodling' as a way to invite the Muse in- spark ideas or work something out that's been marinating for a while. Great, soulful playing, Jedd Thanks for the insights and travel safe! 🙏🙏🙏
What a wonderful tune in the beginning. What a cool sound. Love it. That could be the intro for a new Song ! And it would be great if you introduce your very special Les Paul and talk a little about the Specs and so on.... ( I think you worked quite a lot on it ;-)
That was beautiful, I love chordal melodies and especially when it's done by a top notch guitarist. Beautiful sound also. Good luck in Nashville, kick some ass!
@@JeddHughesOfficial "This is your brain on music". Something about that playing that my brain really enjoys. Bukovac's Firebird Lullaby did the same thing. Lovely playing - magical touch. All the best wishes from Victoria Canada ( the real Victoria)
Your process of song writing is interesting. Sometimes I think I want to try, but when I do , it quickly goes nowhere. In my mind, a true artist /musician does create new songs, so you have my utmost respect for being able to do it.
Try to go easy on yourself mate. I abandon ship on an idea often but its when I let up on myself that I start to have fun and having fun is key. Don’t let the inner critic win.
I dream songs more than guitar parts, I often wake up and hum a melody in to a tape recorder or my phone…its usually crazy mumbling but every now and then something cool happens
Beautiful sounds Jedd. You and Duke levine are in a league on yer own in that playing😎👍🏼🎸😌👍🏼👍🏼
I have been playing guitar for 43 years and I have come to the same conclusion.

Beautiful 'noodle'....has the fragrance of great surf music
How do you run the AC30 into the champ? Direct out into the main input or just the speaker? How do you get the Champ verb involved?
Hi Jedd, saw you open for Rodney about 10yrs ago in SF and just watched you and Tommy B. shootin the breeze. So I'm subscribing.

Thanks Jeff, tasty noodels my friend! Rainy day music for me.
Peace
Different key but your noodlings reminded me of Angelo Badalamenti's Twin Peaks theme :-)
I’ll have to listen to that one!
“New shed, same old Jedd” There’s your new tee shirt 😂 hope you’re doing well!
hahahaha there it is! Great idea!
Agent Cooper vibe
I can't help to hit some A minor when I'm in the key of c major..
❤
Jedd…Have you ever had a dream of a most beautiful guitar part …then woke up and realize it was only a dream ..and ………..?
