Great sound, great guitar . . . but unfortunately it is not a Telecaster. I clicked on for an authentic Telecaster. That unfortunately makes your title click bait. Think about it and take care
@@forestyogin2218 Also FWIW there are guys out there making “clone” telecasters that are BETTER sounding guitars, also “authentic” & historically more accurate than the current lot at the Fender facility. So if you need a sticker on the headstock to give you the stamp of approval then so be it. But if you’re not buying vintage telecasters no point in buying a branded guitar.
The purity of a Telecaster is how it can change shape by the shifting attitude of the player . Sweet and a tempest at the same time . Great playing Jedd
That's a great sounding Telecaster with amazing and musically sounding pick ups. What a fantastic player and guitar! I could listen to Jedd play this set up all day. A beautiful sound.
Man, I love every video you post... I lived in Nashville for almost 15 years, but had to move back to Australia to look after family. If I make it back to TN I'll be looking for your next gig! Meantime, I'll be watching!
Hey Paul great to see you here! Love Knowing your enjoying one of my absolute favorite current players out of anywhere! Just happens in this case to be Nashville via Australia 🇦🇺!❤🎸👍
That was like an uplifting version of "At Least That's What She Said". Dig it. Thanks, Jedd, for making these videos. Always excited to see one pop into the feed.
I have 5 tele’s and love everyone of them i am also from S.A and like you i get carried away when i get a sound I like and you are right it is like eating a great steak great analogy . My original 1967 tele has that back pick up sound you struggle to find with the more modern tele’s these days . Good to hear you are doing well in the States . Any time you put these videos up is a good time to watch another South Aussie bloke doing his thing .
I love that I connected you with Ron and now I get to use the Jedd Hughes signature pickup you guys came up with to match my all time favourite bridge pickup! Killa combo.
Hi Jedd, hope things are good. Loving the show, got turned on by our Man Otis Gibbs. Now, I follow you, Uncle Larry, and Mr. Trapp. Been playing for 5 years on acoustic, but it was you, and the other two, that calmed it for me. Yall take the pressure of trying something so far out from the reg. guy, that I'm headed to Nashville to get a Tele. A tru inspirtation for sure, you are the quite cool. The cool that has that thing.....whatever you call it, that thing, a heart beat. Much love brotha. On the look out for a show, Tim from ATL.
Love that Tele. Ashtray, wraparounds, and Tune-o-Matic bridges keep me playing for hours while trying to squeeze out everything I can tonally, and thinking less.
FYI.. I wore Dingo’s for decades.. the suede pointy Western boots.. and before that the square toe harness boots… Didn’t know they were still available… Cool..!
Love that description of a good sound! And totally relate to just having the perfect tele. Such a great feeling to feel like it's all dialed in and the only thing missing is more time.
I absolutely love your playing and your passion for your art. I hope you are through your struggles as a person. Because you are rock solid as an artist.
Im totally with you. Had a tele made. Waited more than a year, and when it finally arrived, I was so unhappy with it and hated the sound. Was about to cut it up and burn and forget it. But changed my mind. So started a project, and now its crazy good. I love it, but have never got the sound right. Tried so many pick up. All okay, but not really what I wanted. Then I went to my garage and looked at all the tele pu’s I had laying around. Found a new brdge/neck combination, installed them, and bang, it was there. All 3 positions just perfect (to me). So even though the Tele is a simple guitar, you can do many tweaks tobget it right, if the main construction etc is worth to build on. Thanks for all the inspiration you give :-)
I stumbled upon Jedd playing with Rodney and EmmyLou on Austin City Limits...his first solo on "Ain't Living Long Like This" is amazing...almost sounds like he's playing fiddle. Totally worth searching for this.
That's a great sounding Tele Jedd. Can I just say that you're touch is immaculate. Saw the other comments re the "graphic intro" and I'm not going to weigh in there, suffice to say it's all good with me what you're doing as I'm sure it is with most subscribers to this channel. Rock on mate and thanks for another vid...
I know people here in Cincinnati paying over 100 dollars a month for guitar lesson's plus the drive, gas, and 2 hrs out of your day! You, Buk, G Trapp, J Rousch sharing the Best stuff to learn for FREE! Damn I feel guilty at times if I don't contribute! Love you guy's and what you do! Thanks for sharing Jedd!
I went with the 50B and have been using it more lately for leads and even some rhythm. It’s really throaty but can be sweet with a lighter touch. Blends nice w the Signature neck pickup. Ron make the best pickups!
A melodic master . The key to a great musician . Melody key to great songs too . In my humble minimally educated opinion . Always killer tone too . Thumbs up to Jedd
Earlier this year, I acquired, for next to nothing, what turned out to be a FSR Chambered Ash Telecaster. It's a great guitar, the best I'll probably ever own. I love it. From what I can judge from your videos, it doesn't compare to your lovely 'Partscaster'. I can hear why you'd be satisfied with it as your main axe.
Jedd you do you! What ever you feel comfortable with is more than enough to make all of us here more than happy ! If you happen to feel inspired to pull out your phone and start asking questions at any given time I’m sure that would certainly be appreciated as well! Whatever you choose to share out here in social media land is a huge gift! Please don’t ever make yourself uncomfortable or uneasy in whatever you choose to post!👍🙏🫶
Hey you got the young kids…you tell me! I’ll Be there. And I wonder …it would really be great to hear you play a few phrases potted down, then hear those same phrases through the amp. We’d get a sense of how much of that dynamic is created acoustically. Love you’re playing Jedd!
Hey Jedd, if you do the live show thing again any day would be cool... It would be great if the time slot also works for us in Europe so we can watch and join in too.
I played a tele for the first time in my life this week, (played for 4 years) A tele from the 60's ish, my bandmates guitar... Wow, blown away. Saving money now..
Hey Jedd, as soon as you started exploring that extra note (b5?) in that E chord, I could hear echoes of the Harry Lime theme, from the classic movie The Third Man...?
I remember hearing that raised fifth in the LoTR soundtrack. You can hear it in the scene where Aragorn convinces King Theoden to ride to their doom at the end of the Helms Deep battle.
Always so much great inspiration from your videos! How do you get the Depth of Field like that on your video? Also, are you gonna do a video with some more info on that technique for songwriting VG told you about? Thanks!
Jedd, why don't we see more of the folks that make a living in music play the G&l guitars? Personally, I have numerous Fender American guitars, but only one G&l P Bass.
Always happy to see you pop up in my subscription notifications! And so cool you work with Randy Rogers- love their stuff. Question- Remember that green tele you built recently, what exactly was the color of that called? Was it an MJT that you painted, or did they come painted? I want to build my first tele and have always wanted that color!
Such an ethereal vibe today, love it, man. So many tasty changes, sparks my curiosity...shocking, right? What's your favorite, or "go to" chord change? Do your guitars have consistent "sweet spots", or do they differ greatly? I have my #1 Strat, tuned down 1/2 step, that just RINGS at the G# on the B string. Another Les Paul crushes at the A on D. Jedd’s not one to bait people for clicks. He makes his own telecasters that IMO, outweigh most teles I’ve heard. Think about that… and take care 🤝
@@jewkbox87 The simple fact is that only Fender makes Telecasters, everybody else makes clones.

Thank you Chris!
Killer tone, love it.

We definitely need a deep dive rundown on that guitar. Sounds unquestionable.
Any night but Thursday, I’ll tune in for the gorgeous playing!
Sounds great, especially into that Gibson amp! I got rid of every other guitar I had except for 3 Tele’s. 2 alder/rosewoods and 1 ash/maple. Love em!
