That there would be. You can also use thicker wings with more fibers. Slightly shorter wings. Slightly longer wings. Really depends on your preference.
Hey Jim, I apologize, I did get your email, I've been pretty busy this week. Was in the car all day yesterday and back in the car today. I have never come across any cebrit hooks. Honestly never heard of them until your email. Thank you for your kind words!!!! Hope you are well
Very different from the other ones. I like it And yeah. I agree Robert. David 🤡 watched a 53min video on how to tie a specific fly. And then a couple minutes more to comment about how bad it was and all. He uses 53min and then some, tells me that he must have been fascinated by Mr LaMonte craftsmanship

I would like a video on all the substitute materials that could be used. Many materials currently used are hard to find and some even prohibitively expensive even if you can find them.
Here in NY we don't have many Atlantic salmon and of course no PNW steelhead. I spent the last 3 years on oxygen and just had a double lung transplant 6 months go so travel and fishing has been out of the question. I do fish for great lakes steelhead and king salmon. Have used these flies with great success. PNW steel is a dream trip for me but unless I drive across the country I won't have an opportunity. It's not safe for me to fly anywhere either. That being said, that's why my flies are tied for framing and are usually in larger sizes. Once I'm cleared for travel, I will definitely be fishing for Atlantic and PNW steel
no reply means it was obtained in a back alleyway haha, if you live by a river look for stumps that "wild blue earedd pheastants" may hunt from and you might find some "blue eared phestant" feathers
These feathers are easily obtained, legally. They are gray heron that i dyed black myself. Blue eared pheasant is also easily found. Look back thru my videos I have a video on heron and blue eared pheasant. There is a place.called Brittons Blue Eareds they are on Facebook. They are a no kill farm that collects the feathers melted by their birds. They have feathers of all.sizes and they dye the feathers as well.
Thanks but the idea is to teach. Talking helps that. Most of my videos are 2- 1.5 hour videos per fly. My subscribers are happy with the format so I will not be changing it.
I think that your videos are very helpful. I’ve been tying flies for over 50- years and salmon flies were always beyond my interests years ago, since salmon fishing was something I never did. But now I am revisiting these flies as a challenge and for the art form. For the guys that think these videos are too long, maybe they should tie some of these flies themselves and produce videos themselves such as shorts. I wonder how many guys would learn how to tie these beauties from shorts? Well you keep talking and sharing your experiences because many of us that watch have a lot to learn in your 2- videos. Apparently guys that don’t like the long videos can’t find their save or pause button.
Thanks Rich! It was very helpful and I can see there would be more action with that wing!

No reply means I had a lung transplant and have been away at the hospital for checkups.
