A grub costs €0.13, you complicate your life a lot, and they don't turn out that good,
How much do soft baits cost? Is it worth spending so much time on a product of poor quality?

i would compare it to building something and appreciating the fruits of the labor.
Yo can buy a mold for 15 dls, not worth the efort.
Only cost a couple of pence to buy rather than all that time,effort and expense. Be alot different if it was some type of unusual lure that you cannot buy not the cheapest most common lure to buy.
To make a Grub plug, use a piece of 5/16" dia. wooden dowel and chuck into a drill or drill press. Use a small triangle file to grind the grooves of the grub body, ending with a taper, cut to length, then saw a small groove in the end of the taper. Sand smooth then seal the plug with butcher block wax. Glue in the tail and make your mold. Produces quality baits!
