    Wow, I wouldn't rig half those hook patterns, you would pull the entire lake or pond out with you on retrieve, the other ones the baits looked like pike had torn the hell out of before you fished it, the first two would be faster and cleaner done with mendit or similar agent,

    Why do you rig the swimming flukes upside down? In nature, fish's belly is white or lightly colored.

      A forage fish (minnow) that is having a swim bladder issue or is otherwise injured will often swim on its side or even upside down, looking like an easy meal for a predator fish. One of my most productive topwater plugs is oriented to "swim" on its side, and looks like an injured/dying forage fish. More lures should be made to take advantage of this. I also tie many of my minnow imitation flies so that they orient in the water on their sides. Works great.

      Should carry a pair of pliers for trebles anyway

      Always use trebles on certain fish. Especially walleye. Bony mouth and famous for short striking
