Lovely fly buddy , can I suggest for the next few mixed wing flies you show the actual assembly of the wing, not snipping the slips of the wing etc, just from having your slips on the bench. As I found I really struggled without watching someone actually building it and mounting it . Funny I just replaced my battery on my cauteriser lastnight.
There are several different ways of putting the wings together. The Cork Collection flies were tied differently. This is a Hardys pattern. I like to use all different methods. This one was a significantly larger hook and the fly is from a Different time period. This wing has the tippet in the "center" of the wing and not as an under wing so it is easier to have it all in one go. There are Rogan style, Blacker/ Ephemera, Hale, Kelson, Tolfrey.... these are all fly tiers from history that all had unique styles of tying. It's quite the challenge to mimic the different styles.
Awesome! Thanks Rich! 👍👍👍👍

I can do that. It will be easier than viewers having to look back at an old video. Thanks buddy!
Nice fly! I noticed on this wing you tied everything in one go rather than 3 like the blue doctor. Any reason why? What makes you decide? Thanks.

That is from Hardy's Salmon Flies.
