Great tutorial as always!!! Really appreciate what you always do in Fly Fisherman magazine as well!!! Hard work never goes unnoticed! I’ve been twisting these up since I received my Feb/Mar 2024 issue featuring this bug on page 66. Thank you Mr. Pat Dorsey! I have to say, no one can tie partridge legs or Biot tails both sides at the same time like CC! You are the master!!!
I've still got a patch 4"x5" or so I bought 15 yrs ago so I hope it in good shape. It's still in it's original packaging to .I treat it like gold Charlie ! I also bookmarked Pat Dorsey's web page as well .Thanx for the pattern Charlie .Tight lines buddy.SPRING IS IN THE AIR IN ALBERTA .
An excellent tying video! As a substitute for Medallion Sheeting, I found a brand of flat dental floss (Reach Total Care) that works well for wing cases on small nymphs. It has some texture to it and it takes permanent marker colors well. However, it's not really wide enough for nymphs larger than size 18.
Another Awesome fly! Of course you filled my order this morning, need more material now. Is that Natural Partridge ? have a heck of a time with those legs. Same with the split foam back Emerger. Love both those flys. Thanks.
Well I ordered some stuff a couple of hours ago and already got notice of a tracking number. Had to jump on some Varner hair and a couple of other things.

Loved the tips and certainly a fly I will replicate and see how our Kiwi Trout like it. Regards from down under.

That’s a great looking nymph! What sort of magnification do you use (if any) when tying size 18, 20 or 22 flies?
