What is ASMR?
In my subjective view, ASMR is 2 things: a sensation and a medium (like music for example).
The sensation itself (ASMR) stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
ASMR videos, the medium, are not only meant to help induce the sensation or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to relieve their anxiety, stress, headaches, insomnia, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, to serve as a study aid and much more. It is quite therapeutic, for both the creator and recipient, not much different than the mediums of music and painting.
Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy affect.
You always start your videos with "i hope you're doing well" and like, yeah, i don't know, i just really appreciate that. So i really hope you're doing well as well, ER.

i love the innistrad series. my favorite by far.
My Dad had also introduced me to the game when I was around ten years old! It totally influenced my life and how I spent most of my teen years. I'm nearing the end of those years now and don't have anything bad to say about it. My Dad and I connected a lot through this and I hope you and your son can do the same. Also, the video was great as well, you've really seemed to master this craft!
You realize how time flies by when ER says his son is just under 10 yo while you remember a lego video where he says his son is 5 (and not 4.. haha)! It's like, you're part of the family!

I love how this set gives you the possibility of getting multiple rares in each pack. Like when you got the rare Flameblade Angel and a flip card, and then got a rare flip card Thing in the Ice! That's pretty sweet
I'd love to see a video of you just reading the Innistrad booklet; that voice just calms me like no other.

This was the first pre release I ever went to, I remember all these cards. It was 4 years ago!
i absolutely love these, as a college student I cant afford to buy any cards but your fat pack openings have made me extremely interested in playing. ill be watching this video tonight!

Hits close to home, first fat pack I ever opened.
It's the second one of 2016, first of a 2 part set, and it is a return to the innistrad plane, and follows the original theme pretty well
Not sure if this has been said yet, but Shadows Over Innistrad is in fact the second release of 2016, Oath of the Gatewatch being the first (released in january 2016).
yeah. but its sad that even though this is released i dont have much money and all i could get from gatewatch was a fat pack. nothing else :(. and now i cant get stuff from this release.

I remember in summer camp back around 2-3 years ago everyone had competitions and played Magic it was really fun playing it, I just wish I remembered how to play :(

H. P. Lovecraft was a author best known for his "The Call of Cthulhu" surreal horror story about a monstrous horror that drove people to insanity. His style of including things such as forbidden knowledge, fate, and superstition has been termed "Lovecraftian." :D

If you're looking for other card games to get into with your son, I highly recommend Future Card Buddyfight. It has very simple rules and a fantastic community, and you can get trial decks (the game's version of starter decks) on ebay for super cheap. Not to mention a new "series" has recently started, so it's a great time to start. It also has a fun cartoon your son and yourself could watch together (I just recently marathoned the first two seasons myself, very enjoyable).
Sleeves cover the top of your cards... well they actually cover the whole card, good for protecting your cards when shuffling, and if you are using some older cards or cards with nicks/scratches on them, it prevents you or opponents from knowing what the top card is on your library before drawing it.
You should do a video on your favorite card flavor-texts and/or lore :)
I feel like I'm the only person that still plays original Yu-Gi-Oh! If Rift did a card unboxing for that I would cry tears of joy.

You should read the flavor text as well, it's a very important part of the card
Yup, that and the art. Also, don't look up the rare and double-sided cards right away. They are always at the end (only followed by basic land/checklist and token), so keep up that surprise. ;-)

It's a little expensive, but you should do an ASMR booster box opening. More packs, more ASMR with rift!

I'm going to assume you are talking about Eldritch Moon, of which I am going to the normal release tomorrow. Any tips? What kinds of decks did most people play? I'm thinking of doing a black+green madness/delirium discard deck if I get the cards for it.
+John Wright I honestly can't tell you much, I went up against 2 decks that were white and green, then 1 red and green( 2 headed giant) all I gotta say is if you crack Soren, Thalia, or Emrakul like me, you pretty much win, I went with White+Black, and pretty much destroyed my opponents, but I lost the last one due to a 2 Lander and height cost creatures with no mana draws, witch is funny cause I only had 4 high cost things like Soren, Emrakul, and 2 faithbearer paladins, if you really want me to help you, I could give Facebook info and we can call on messenger for me to explain a little better, all I can say is try to have counters and removal, and of course some creatures
