Great video you guys! I would like to recommend the second ending from Hunter x Hunter, Hunting for your dream by Galneryus, that's an awesome power metal band. Also Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) opening, is done by a great female singer. Oh, almost forgot, Servamp also has a great opening.

fear and loathing in las vegas. they did the intro for Parasite and OP 2 for brynhildr in the darkness. shame they didn't make this list for you guys. woulda loved to hear your take on them. also love that they have a break taht goes from piano,dubstepdrop,screamo in the matter of a 2 seconds. (in 'virtue and vice') also im an insane Maximum the hormone fan. had there first 3 albums.
I believe you got it turned around on the Maximum the Hormone comment. Most of their early stuff is very punk. Another one of their songs is used for the end credits of Death Note. It's called Billy in despair. The video actually follows the Death Note theme. Check out their latest release Hungry Pride.
Ichirinno hana (Bleach opening 3) might fall into your views of Japanese metal with a female vocalist too. Might fall slightly short as hard rock though
We really wanted to include DMC in the video but they are extremely protective (which is understandable) and would have outright blocked the video all together.

The opening for Parasyte: The Maxim (Let Me Hear - Fear, and Loathing In Los Vegas) would have been a really good choice to listen to.

Great teacher Onizuka (GTO) the first opening is one of my favorite ones, maybe because the memories of the show attached to it.
The anime “Overlord” has some good openings and endings (that are close to being metal)
