@mr.brazilian5167 Ainz is both in the show. Sure he is the protagonist but to everyone else in the new world, he is the antagonist. There isn't anyone in the new world to compare to Nazarick who could possibly be an antagonist.
@@ethanvalois7108 this is played in his eyes and he is the protagonist, if you think he is the antagonist you have missed alot of the meaning, this is just the steps before his silent solitude, where at the end where he gives the world a utopia and a better life he is left alone and empty ruling over it a shell of a person never able to obtain his goals anymore, all thrown to the wayside as he is never able to make friends of equal standing and care for him again, and he reigns for all of eternity
"Voracity" is definitely my favorite, but they are all absolute bangers.

Hollow Hunger is probably my favourite of the 4 intros but like you said they're all bangers love them all but 4 is my favourite, the background singer during the chorus gives me chills it's so good

Openings 1,2 and 4 are done by OxT, OxT also does ending 3, the people who did opening 3 did endings 1 and 2. I greatly recommend listening to the endings as they are also amazing!

@@Jhulian_R anime is so much better when the music can match the feeling action and excitement. Like the joy or eerie or hopeful and sorrow. The low energy of defeat or the hit energy of will to keep the epic fight going to win at all costs or the happiness or wrath that you feel for the characters. Battles and music a match made in heaven.
@@Metalders technically Oxt and myth & roid are the same group, they have the same composer and lyricist but with different vocalists.
The 3rd op is by a band called "Myth and roid" and they're some of the best in the business when it comes to anime op's.

This is one of the rare shows where the outros are just as amazing as the intros, and the songs are basically always bops at any point in the show

Rare..? I mean all good and expensive shows have great ops and eds. Just take A1 pictures Sao or fate. Violet evergardens osts or whitefoxs shows. There are plenty.

Overlord does a great job of having the music made for the shows theme that season, and also making the into animation specifically for the song. You can really tell it’s a passion project.

There are a lot of people that do the "musician reacting to opening/ending" thing, but I think you strike a really good balance between enjoying the visuals and offering insight into the music. The endings are also great, and much much different.

Voracity is my fav of the bunch, but Hollow Hunger is a very close second! Myth and Roid (the band who did Voracity) have done pretty much all my fav anime openings ever! The standout ones other than Voracity for me are:
1) Shadowgraph (Boogiepop op)
2) Tit for Tat (Cautious Hero op)
3) Jingo Jungle (Saga of Tanya the Evil op)
They just put out fire after fire opener and I love it!

The vocalist also duetted with Momocashew from Mili for a game called Limbus Company! (She also sang for a song called I’m Alright! for a gacha game which is also a certified banger.) Both songs are very very good.

just a few are seeing the meaning behind the walkin scene with all the people in the mirror. Its symbolic. Ainz is stepping on them, walking over them to show how powerfull he is. all these persons are just there for him to step over and gain power, while they are belonging under his feet

Wow this is the first reaction of yours that I've watched, and your comments on the song progression, the time signature and the instrumentals were phenomenal and beautiful! I'm glad you explained the changes and it's easy to understand bcz I have a bit of music knowledge. Japanese music is multi-genre, they make the most of each song by experimenting with different genres all together! The vocals are often quite phenomenal with their pitch control, it's really astounding to hear. I get happy when someone appreciates that these songs are hard to make and are very unique ❤
The endings for Overlord are also Amazing

I can see that, always rising the bar (can only speak for openings since I haven't watch it), although the opening 3 is very hard to overcome 😆
And by far my favourite of all Overlord's openings is Voracity as it hits all the points I love about that kind of music and you got everything I felt about it the first time going.
One thing I've noted as the OP's have gone along, it feels like things are accumulating - like a boulder rolling down a hill it starts slowly and by 4 it's got totally out of control and is heading to destroy something.
My favorite commentary I've heard in regard to an Overlord opening, "It's like a party in Hell."

there are full versions of most anime op, they get cut for time but the full songs are just more fun! but most people like to see the anime op so still do the video ver, but if the song is good, just make a follow up vid with the full ver!

I loved this react and chainsaw man, but from hearing what you liked about those songs I think you should definitely have a look at Vinland Saga OP1 and THEN at the full version of the song (even if the OP isn't the full version, it does bring it's own great vibe, but then the full version brings something completely new to the table...) it's called mukanjyo by survive said the prophet.

First time in my life, I looked up longer versions of the intro music. 3 and 4's full versions were amazing! As for the content of the reaction Log Horizon Opening Theme - "database" was quite good and loved by many they even used the same opening for the second season, and no one complained about it.

If you loved the 3rd opening so much. It was done by Myth&Roid and the did endings 1 and 2. They're also really good! They're singer who left the band before the 4th ending did it themselves, while the band that did the other openings and endings is OxT. Myth&Roid also did the openings from re:zero which you should checkout too. Though the fourth was done by the singer after she left the band.
OxT did the ending songs from the movies and they are really good too. I wish more people would check them out. Sorry for saying so much, but I thought you're reaction was really good and I loved the analysis so I couldn't help but give more information and suggestions.

For me Overlord will be the Nr 1 anime overall. i can recommend the show but if you havent watched anime so far id say its better to watch something similar but less complicated first and then going back to overlord. "eminence of shadow" or "That time i got reincarnated as a slime" wuld fit the same vibe and genre without leaving you behind confused if you dont keep track of every single little detail.

You're going to want to keep a few musicians in mind when reacting to anime openings, some of the biggest names are: Myth and Roid, who did the 3rd opening, there are also Lisa, and Aimer. These three are some of the best I can think of but people will probably tell you more.

Yuki Kajiura, especially if you check out the Dot Hack Sign osts and some noteables from SAO (At Nightfall, Survive the Swordland) (not to mention that SAO has one of Lisa's best known tracks, Crossing Field). Yokko Kanno is another outstanding composer that has had her hand in more that a lot of people realize, not just cowboy beebop.

If you like messing with time signatures I highly recommend Drift (Happy Chaos) theme from Guilty Gear Strive. It is a super unique song that I’ve been craving people to react to, especially musicians!

It's probably not really your taste, but I still think you should check out the op of Kokkoku. I haven't watched the show and from what I've heard it's apparently not particularly good, but the op is absolutely amazing and the vibe is immaculate. The full song is called flashback by myavi vs kenken.
