    You have to eat the food as soon as they are served while hot. They cook in front of you for that. It’s actually the essence of Japanese cooking. Sushi, tempura, sukiyaki, yakiniku and the teppanyaki. These are cooked in front of you so we can eat hot food hot, cold food cold, as we say. Too bad nobody told you.

    I am 100% Japanese and I have been to many places serve KOBE BEEF on TEPPANYAKI but as you see, the quality is absolutely sucks. Honestly, if this really is worth $200, THIS IS HORRIBLE, DISASTER and how's possible it costs you $200? Think about it, they could serve fresh seafoods and more spectacular vegetable not just the green peppers and boiled shrimps?(That's what you usually get with AMERICAN TEPPANYAKI) And Also did research and it says this restaurant only hires woman. I don't get it lol
    I hope you guys don't get wrong TEPPANYAKI. Thank you.

    • @pstreaks

      didnt seem that sharp, many times the steak had to be sliced twice to fully cut through it

    • @FabriceNormandin95
      @FabriceNormandin95 7 лет назад +22

      Cutting the meat while it is in the ceramic plate is a terrible thing to do for your knife, as it dulls the tip, if you watch closely you can see throughout the video the tip of the knife is very dull, while the rest is sharp.

    • @henrikwilsgaard8795
      @henrikwilsgaard8795 7 лет назад +16

      It was sharp but the girl is rather inexperienced with the use of the knife so a lot of uneccesary 2nd cuts had to be done because of that.

      draghith you are probably confusing traditional teppanyaki with Americanized teppanyaki. Traditional teppanyaki just means that they cook the food in front of you. Americanized teppanyaki is more “show” oriented and done for entertainment (includes stuff like flipping the cooking tools around). It’s a common misconception don’t worry.

    As much as I enjoy seeing the cooking portion of the video. It kinda sorta bothers me that they don’t eat along the way waiting for everything to be done before they begin eating and knowing that all that food must be cool or cold, eating food straight off the grill is so much better than having it sit for lord knows how long. It would also be a nice edition to actually see the person eating the food vs it simply disappearing.

      I agree tha tI wish they enjoyed the food hot, and I could be down with watching it be eaten, but the complete lack of a personality/ego/speaking lines from the diner's perspective is what I really highly value about these videos. It's really immersive that way.

    The scoring on the cooking surface bothered me several times over as did her need to re-cut with a knife that is obviously sharp enough (maybe try a wider blade and keep your knuckles higher for better control)... 6:59 it really does look like something you would see dead on the side of the road in the south lol :) Nice cut of meat too bad the handling wasn't more respectful of the beast that provided it

    Все выглядит очень вкусно и красиво, но у меня несколько вопросов:
    1. Зачем на 6:50 было плющить голову креветке на жаровне, она выглядит мерзко, как раздавленный таракан, её потом в конце даже не едят, а просто ковыряют на 23:50;
    2. Зачем ради нескольких кусочков разной еды каждый раз последовательно чистить и наливать новое масло на огромную поверхность, она ведь предназначена для уличного фастфуда, то есть сразу для огромного количества еды, здесь это можно сделать на разных сковородках одновременно;
    3. Судя по размеру порций каждого блюда еда готовиться на одного человека, супа несколько ложек, креветки всего две и так далее, но по общему количеству жратвы - там хватит пожрать восьмерым.
    4. Время готовки. Я когда шашлык покупаю через дорогу от дома, при мне его жарят, то когда я дохожу до дома, он уже холодный через четыре минуты и покрыт легким налётом, а тут за 25 минут всё уже просто покроется твёрдой коркой, так как всё здесь жареное, а жир застывает при комнатной температуре.
    5. Еще больше не понял зачем из мраморного мяса делать шкварки. Его просто поперчить и посолить и жарить цельным куском на чем угодно, невозможно испортить. А шкварки можно сделать вообще из чего угодно и будет тоже самое, вы бы еще пельменей накрутили из него;
    6. Я приходу к выводу что это гастрономический фетиш в плане созерцания приготовления еды, чем в наслаждении. Это как любители стриптиза против любителей секса.
    Спасибо. Вроде всё сказал! =)

      @MyMrSerg 5 лет назад

      1. Есть головы креветки местный деликатес. В СНГ например кушают язык коров или холодец из костей варят.
      2. Масло меняют для того что бы не смешивался вкус от предыдущей еды с новой порцией. Поверхность для приготовления блюда за 12 000р. назвать "для уличного фаст фуда" нельзя ))
      3. Если "пожрать" то да, можно и восемь рыл накормить, если покушать то для одного всего понемногу хватит.
      4. Мясо приготовили под конец, оно горячее, остальное можно и тёплым съесть.
      5. Полностью согласен.
      6. Да, Фетиш, но не только визуально, но и на вкус.

    • @Залипыпо-трезвяни
      @Залипыпо-трезвяни 5 лет назад +1

      @@MyMrSerg , 1 язык действительно деликатес, но мне если честно больше нравится коровье вымя вареное или лёгкое, хотя по ценам разница в несколько раз, над этим надо мной с детства всегда все смеялись. А мозговые говяжьи косточки вообще гастрономический оргазм. 2. На улицах в Азии это именно приготовление фастфуда, может там не такие дорогие кончено поверхности, но они именно для этого созданы. Насчет остального не буду комментировать, если тебе 1 креветку 10 человек 2 часа буду готовить на огне, подбрасывать и жонглировать ей, то это уже ресторанные изыски, хотя по мне - неоправданные. 3 - ресторан это не только театр, там также нужно "пожрать", это сарказм был.

      Всё же это всего-навсего другая культура, все разнокультурные вещи кажутся странными. Но я бы такое заведение всё же посетил, если бы была возможность.

    • @MyMrSerg
      @MyMrSerg 5 лет назад

      Коровье вымя к сожалению не пробовал (но хотел бы), лёгкое пробовал в детстве, но не впечатлило, как и коровьи мозги. Мозговая косточка действительно оргазм (отдельно искали их (деликатес)). Приготовление мяса за 12 000р требует шоу, и тут не главное набить желудок.
      p.s. Девушка повар ужасна, как повар, не умеет готовить, нет красивой подачи, не умеет пользоваться ножом и плитой. Видео спасает только один плюс, Щелкунчик в mp3 от Чайковского на заднем фоне.
      p.s.s. Шашлык через дорогу может быть намного вкуснее этого элитного мяса. ;)

      One said that she was a bad chef cause she had to cut the meat more then once (recut pieces) but that espacially makes her good. Cause that means she cuts through the tendons instead of alongside them. That means she has a harder time cutting it but makes it easier to chew since the tendons arent in a whole anylonger.
