You are the only one who details the top hat configuration and the rubber piece removal. Every other Eibach Stage 1 install skips this important information. Thanks for the video!
I did a similar job with my 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Instead of using the old front shock hardware, just get one piece of new hardware from Toyota and pre assembled the new front shock and pop it in on the day of installation.
Nice video kind of threw me off when you said we’re gonna hit the brake lines and ABS lines. I was like what he’s gonna hit the brake line with a hammer now. Perfect video though.
Very broad for a specific answer...but 265/70/17 with no rub on just about every common 17” people run. 285/70/17 will fit with minor trimming depending on rim.
I seriously want to know. IS THERE A IMPROVEMENT on the ride quality off road compared to the 3rd gen Tacoma TRD OR stock suspension. I want something for temporary use for some occasional off road (not to aggressive) until I can get what I really want ( fox 2.5 with resi.)
Go with a block if ur gon lift the rear for a inch or 2. If yr going to be hauling some weight or tow a lil here and there. Then go get a aal or leaf pack. 1.5"-2" is more than enough imo
Would have been nice to get 2.5" out of mine. I put this same lift and went to a 265-70 and still didnt get 2.5" of lift. And theres no way i could get 33's on my truck
This will lift your truck the same about lift as the Rough Country kit you mentioned! I would go with this kit if you want to keep a smooth ride though, Eibach makes some amazing shocks and their products are super high quality. -Zach
depends on how much weight you are putting in the rear. I have a 2.5 front and 1" block in the rear from Eibach because I've added about 300lbs. but now I am getting a full pack leaf from deaver because I am adding about 600lbs total to the rear. So I should be leveled and more comfy with all that weight. But if you aren't adding any weight to the rear this kit is fine and will level you out to get rid of the rake. You can see my truck on my instagram shred_n_tread
NEVER tighten the lower shock bolt unless the suspension is on the round and loaded. If you do not do this it WILL stress out the lower bushing and cause it to wear prematurely.
Li Minglang I have it on mine with 285/70/16 so basically 33’s and it doesn’t rub but I’m also running 1.25” wheel spacers hubcentric ones. But no problems at all.
Cody Silva I just installed on my 2018 Tacoma. I put the front shocks on the 2nd setting which should be 2.75 inch lift and the rear shocks have no adjustment. You need to add a block or maybe add a leaf.
Adjustable upper control arms for lifted Tacomas can range in anywhere from $300 to upwards of $600. We carry a matching set of Eibach ones that would go great with this kit which I'll link below! Thanks for watching! - Zach terrain.jp/2VCjEab

That upper ball joint has a torn boot and is hosed. You can see it clearly at 22:32.
You jacked up the tie rod boot but that's nun of my business

@18:26 Best "working on car" face
Does this set up need a diff drop kit?
All loosen the sway bar first but don’t reinstall it. Was so much easier getting the strut in by bringing it down. Just my .2
Love this set up, what's the biggest tire I can put on and what offset rim would be best?

Did you have to replace the needle bearing for the CV axle to get read if the “vibration hum” noise?
You had vibs with this kit?
Would you recommend adding a 1 in block or an add a leaf to the rear suspension for this specific lift kit?
Go with a block if ur gon lift the rear for a inch or 2. If yr going to be hauling some weight or tow a lil here and there. Then go get a aal or leaf pack. 1.5"-2" is more than enough imo
How does this kit work on the 2018 + that have the pcs and addictive cruise control
You will need your radar sensor recalibrated at Toyota. They put a reflector in front of it and measure the height and type it into the programmer
How bad is it if installed without tophat bushing? The bushing between springs and strut mount
How long will this eibach kit eventually worn out?
How much lift does the spring alone give? Im hoping to get these & get 3" out of them.
What notch was that tacoma set at? Also was there already rears blocks or just ran with the stock leafs?
New struts and coils, but they're not pre assembled? Seems like eibach messed that up
TRD pro package has 2.5" Fox not Bilstein
So in theory, setting the front snap ring on 3” while adding a 2” add-a-leaf in the back should provide a lifted level ride?
How does the kit lift the rear?
it doesn't
Can I fit the eibach springs with the bilsteins 5100s?
I'm ordering the Stage 2 Coilovers. Since they are assembled, would you still rate their install 3/3 wrenches?
Would this be better than putting spacers on the trd pro kings?
In this video did you guys only install the the eibach kit and nothing else in the rear?
Is a drop diff recommended with this lift?
How many inch higher after install?, will it fit a 275 without rubbing?
Would have been nice to get 2.5" out of mine. I put this same lift and went to a 265-70 and still didnt get 2.5" of lift. And theres no way i could get 33's on my truck
Any idea if this would fit a 17x8.5 et -10 on 285/70/17 with out rubbing, on the lowest setting?
You'll prolly need cmc
Does this lift kit sit at the same height as the rough country 3" lift kit or ready lift? Idk if I should get this or just do a spacer lift
This will lift your truck the same about lift as the Rough Country kit you mentioned! I would go with this kit if you want to keep a smooth ride though, Eibach makes some amazing shocks and their products are super high quality. -Zach
So the minimum is 2.5 of lift On the bottom setting ? What if you only want 2” or 1” do the springs themselves supply lift ? Like the OME 887’s do
How much your average shop charge to get this installed?
Would you need an add a leaf pack for the rear? Does this level it? Or will the truck squat just a bit?
With this kit installed things will be pretty darn level! If anything, the rear of the truck will be ever so slightly higher than the front. -Zach
depends on how much weight you are putting in the rear. 1 inch

um my tire is 285/75r16...it like 32.8...will this Kit work on that ? without rubbing
For this lift kit with 33tire, are there any rub? If I want to fit 33 bfggoorich ko2 on 19 trd off road Tacoma, what lift kit will you recommend?
Li Minglang I have it on mine with 285/70/16 so basically 33’s and it doesn’t rub but I’m also running 1.25” wheel spacers hubcentric ones. But no problems at all.
@@josephwelborn1072 Thanks lot. What rims are you using? How do i choice correct offset of rim for ?
Li Minglang using the stock ones that came with it
Joseph Welborn would 285/70/17 and also with the same spacers rub?
@@josephwelborn1072 Actually, 285/70R16 comes to 31.7" or 32s. That's why you're not rubbing.
Can’t you just drop the lower control arm and drop the strut down rather than taking apart everything else?
No block needed to get the lift from the rear?

rx8dude907 it has 3 settings. Starting at 2.5. Second should be 2.75 and the 3rd should be 3 inches.
@@roam35mm no dude I have the lift myself user manual specifically says bottom line is 2in, second 2.5 and 3rd 3 in. Look it up I'm not making it up!
rx8dude907 I just looked it up online and it says starting @ 2.5 to 3 inches, even this guy in the video says it also.
Will this fit on 2.7 2wd 3rd gen
yes
Waiting on the bodylift its not all in a suspension lift..
Question. How r u getting that 1in in the rear.? Just worried about how truck will ride
there not.he just installed shocks in the rear that does not add lift. if you want to lift the rear use an add a leaf or block.
I LIKE...$595 for this kit ?? An how much for UCA ??

Jorge Ornelas no only on the two door Tacoma.
@@BigE-mj7ve It will work on any 3rd gen tacoma.
yes
I'm planning to get this kit but do I need to add an aal? Or can I just use the set up and what the setting used on this truck
how do you adjust the ring ? do yo have to dismount the whole strut in order to do that?
I’m having a really hard time holding the top part of the shock with a vise grip
Luis C the anchor has no threading up top. It’s designed that way for that reason.
do you need a 1/4" spacer for the driver side to counter act the taco lean?
Usually, if you want it to be even in height on both sides.
