Somebody needs to call a pattern company and urge them to use you and Big Handsome to model for their books and pattern envelopes. You two are just so elegant and wear everything so well! I wouldn’t change the length at all on that cute dress...to make it longer, in my opinion, would not do it justice. And that wrap top...oh my...how beautiful!! Your pants are perfect...the maxi straight stripe dress is a favorite of mine! So comfy looking. The cute little dress turned nightie is so stinking cute! How cute would it look with the little kitten heeled slippers with the pink feathery tops. And...your hubby’s robe with long pants would be a perfect length that he wouldn’t trip on going up the stairs. I wish your videos were longer. I could watch for so much more time. Can’t wait to see what will be new in February. Hope you never tire from sewing! Luv to you!
Hi Cindi! My sister came running up to me after church on Sunday and said, “one of your viewers called him Big Handsome! And said you guys should be modeling for the pattern envelopes!” I said, “Oh that’s Cindi, she is the absolute sweetest!”😄💕😄Thanks as always for your entirely-kind and happy-making comments, Cindi. Honestly, you know how to lift my spirits with the first sentence!!! I am so grateful. I love your observations and fun anecdotes like kitten heel pink feather-topped slippers! (But that top/nightgown made me mad. Miles of fabric!! Waaaay too much!!) Thank you for being a staunch supporter. You spur me on to create and make these videos. Bless you!
I like that you actually model your garments as opposed to just holding them up. And i appreciate your honesty when describing the pattern and the finished item. Your husband is a good sport. Loved the video.
I’m so happy you enjoyed this, jaime. I favor showing the clothes and keeping the review part to a minimum. I know that for myself, I really want to see what the pattern looks like made up, on a regular person. And, oh, I’ll always be honest! They love me over there at the Simplicity hotline.😂
Thanks so much, Dynamic Amethyst! It must come across that he makes me laugh. We are so different - he’s laid back, I’m hyper - but we definitely agree that laughter is very high-up-on-the-list of marital “must haves.” 😄💕
Hi Viv, You should be getting royalties from the major pattern companies, I have found so many wonderful patterns due to your channel. I would not have found them if not for you, thank you for your channel, and modeling your garments. Also, your McCall's 2220 dress is gorgeous, I love the border print you chose.
Aww, Anne, you’re so sweet. (My sister is named Anne-with-an-e. Do you always have to tell people about the “e” when you give them your name?) Glad you enjoyed this. Thank you for writing!!💕
How really beautiful you are. You could wear a sack and still be your gorgoues self. Plus all that style and talent X you are a team on your own Good day God bless you xx
Hi Viv, WOW 18 Garments!!! You've been busy, making up for lost time of no-sewing over the Holidays! I LOVED all of your makes, I loved how your Husband left the room then POOF re-appeared! I REALLY LOVED that black floral wrap top at 15:10 by Simplicity! Happy Saturday Viv Nice to see you!! Have a great weekend!
I was laughing so hard at that POOF reappearance! that I nearly lost my breath. Omg. SO funny. He was having a coughing fit and walked out! Not so fast, Mr.! I’m glad you caught the humor in that. Total I Dream of Jeannie moment, wasn’t it? Blink! He reappears!😂Thanks for all of your effusive happy wishes and compliments.💕
Hi Karen, thanks! Actually the V neck belongs in the back on this dress design. Different, huh? I saw one woman @ Pattern Review turned hers around. I guess I could try it both ways!
Such a cute video with the robe and pajamas! You and your hubby look adorable together. Wonderful outfits and like how you change hairdos and shoes to compliment the clothes...Great job... well done! 👍👍👍You have been sewing like crazy. You need to take a break and go fabric hunting again .😋
Oh Debi, may I please?! I have a full cart @ Fashion Fabrics Club but I’m conflicted. Do I NEED more fabric? No. Does fabric enhance life, creating a sense of happiness, well-being, creativity and joy? Well, when you put it like THAT...😂 Hey thanks as always for being so very sweet and giving me such nice props. I appreciate it a ton!!
Wow, it’s no wonder why we haven’t seen much of you. You were a busy lady. You blew all of us out out of our socks with your makes and I luv it 💕💕💕💕👗👖👕👚🧥
Aww shucks...you’re too kind. Yeah - what do you think about me going to once-a-week videos? It’s just sort of shaking out that way for 2019. I’m endeavoring to buy less fabric this year and that has NOT worked out in the least. More fabric on the way, and gobs to show you all, but I don’t want fabric-showing to get old. Can’t thank you enough for being a true blue support and leaving me your wonderful comments, Marlyo!😄
Aww, thank you Bling Blahh! To say you loved all of them is so very nice of you! I’ll be sure to tell my husband what you’ve said. He will be charmed and I’ll just go ahead and thank you for him!😄💕
This was soooo AWESOME!!!! So much fun to watch this morning! You are just so great at what you do! And you and your husband together, was just too cute! My hat off to you Vivmom. Your garments that you sewed were soooo nice! I want it all!!!! Lol! You are so just kind to share so much with us! You take quick sews and really show us what is possible! I am sure people all the time, must stop and ask you where you purchased your clothes!! I need to watch this again!!!! Xx oo!!!
Hi Jo Marie, and thank you for such a nice message!! So sweet!! I’ve recently told my doctor and physical therapist that I sew my clothes and they were quite interested. People usually ask if I sell them. I don’t want to sell clothes because I know that would take the fun out of it. But it is so nice to find interest in sewing. I surely appreciate your enthusiasm and kind thoughts!😄💕
Many thanks bjquilts! We laughed ourselves silly watching it back. Oh my goodness, when he slinks up behind me. Or the I Dream of Jeannie pop in, and the cat’s tail! I am blessed that my subscribers have a lot of patience!!😄💕
Viv, I always enjoy your video's. You husband seems like a lot of fun. You two are perfect together. I bet you have a lot of laughs. Keep the makes coming. :)
You said it Angel: we have a lot of laughs. I highly recommend laughs with a significant other - it keeps things civil!!😄👍I am so happy to hear you enjoy my videos. Thanks for your support and lovely message(s).
Aww Linda, you humble me! Thank you for being so generous.💕I had a great time constructing these clothes and I think I’ll wear every single one. Even that dumb top-turned-nightgown.😂
See these patterns at thrift stores all the time and wished I could sew. I have a play by ear music brain with no sewing apt at all. Love that you are bring back those styles. I am 70 and would love to find them in stores.
Yay, thanks truejendy! I love how that top turned out. I was trying to think of a way to make it a little less “precious” - let’s face it, a Peter Pan collar at my age is pushing it. Yet I love the collar. The cotton doesn’t have any purple in it, but somehow the taffeta matched tonally. It’s so great to hear that you like it!😄💕
Wow!! You are amazing. I can’t even pick a favorite.... I love all your makes! You look beautiful in all of them! And what a great sport your husband is... and the cat didn’t want to be left out! ❤️😍❤️
Hi Diann, would you like a half-crazed tuxedo cat by any chance?! lol - I’m just grateful he didn’t knock the camera off the table. That would have been typical! Aww, you’ve said such nice things to me, thank you so much.💕 My husband is hilarious and keeps me sewing for him so that I can put him in these videos!!
Watching these videos well after they were posted because I only just found you recently. Love your hubby as a model. I laughed out loud when you said "Come back!" and then he just reappeared, Samantha Stevens style, like magic. I'm just loving your vids -- they're helping me stay entertained while my sewing machine is out of commission.
Trix tail showing!!! I loved all these fashions! Thanks so much for showing your work, and I think your husband is a really good sport to model for us. Most men would not do this....they are no fun!
Viv, thank you and Brad for helping me laugh. My husband passed 3 weeks ago, and we were very close. His passing was very unexpected. But his quality of life was gone, so it was a blessing for him. But I can’t help being so sad. You and Brad and your cat, Trixie, help me smile and laugh. So I will watch your reruns just for the fun and patterns. Thank you, Viv and Brad. Love and prayers, Viv and Brad. You and
You have a great personality and channel, I am a big girl so it’s hard for me to sew for myself. Years ago I started quilting to fulfill my sewing needs.your style is great and makes ppl happy to watch. Thank you so much
I just love your honesty about the patterns and materials!! I've never heard anyone do this....thank you for being so real!!! Love all of the clothes!!!
I made that neckband pattern twice for my Mom. No problem with neckband. Wondering if it was meant to be placed on the fold. That would make it 16". You are so sweet to sew for your hubby. I really like all the things he modeled in this video. I made Jerry a housecoat years ago in heavy green fleece. It turned out great too. I had Jerry look at what your husband was modeling and he said, "He sure is tall!"
Oh wow, Joy, you made view D? Nope - not cut on the fold. I’ve had other viewers tell me the neckband did not work for them, so it’s definitely sloppy drafting. I didn’t like the pattern anyway, it falls at a weird length and the sleeves are strange. I think with sewing reviews over @ Pattern Review it’s a lot like childbirth - people forget the bad parts and are happy with the end result. LOL!! Jerry observed correctly; my husband is 6’4”. Love that height!!😄
Actually, I usually just measure and make my own bindings, so may never have even used the pattern piece. I do find errors in the patterns at times. You are going to have to hire a staff to keep up with your comments!!! You are quickly soaring to the top of RUclips fame, and very well deserved! Hugs, Joy
Vivmom - I actually thought the end result of your View D came out really cute. I loved the way your collar stood up. It changed the look of a typical sweater. I would never of thought to pair that print w that silver fabric tho. I quit sewing garments years ago after sewing my own clothes thru my teens and 20s. The patterns changed a LOT in the 90s and that was the end of sewing for me.
Thanks Tina! Ya know, you could always get some 1960’s patterns and take it from there, if you wanted to sew garments again.😄Or you could sit back and relax a little bit - you’ve earned it!💕
I really enjoy seeing the patterns and fabrics you choose. You look so great in the clothes that you sew. You and your husband are darling together. As the time goes by he seems more comfortable with his modeling role. I enjoy when you talk about your children too. I always stop what I’m doing and pay attention when one of your new videos comes out. Keep up the great work.
Hi Eloise! Thanks for this brilliant note.😄I think you’re right that my husband is relaxing a bit on camera, but he’s no less hilarious. Colin and I had fun watching this back and killing ourselves with laughter. Your compliments are very generous and well appreciated. I’m glad you’re here!🌸
Loved your makes. Those 1960s patterns really stood the test of time. They looked great on you. Impressed by your hubby. Perfect model having a lotta fun. Great all rounder x
Thanks so much, Liz! Husband was a crack up here; I always laugh when he’s around. I will continue to sew him things so that he can show up in the videos.👍You’re so right about the 60’s patterns standing the test of time. The designs are classic and almost universally flattering. Very few knits. Lots of high necks, which I’m starting to like more and more. You’re so nice to say everything that you have!💕Glad you’re here!
You are so talented! You are just super. I love watching you and your husband together. You just fit together perfectly. God bless you and your family. Loved all your fashions!!
Thank you, Mary! What a sweetheart.💕We have a lot of fun with the videos and I try to make sure I sew him at least one thing for the month! That way he can be in the video.😃 I’ve only managed a tee shirt for him in March so far. I really appreciate your kind words and support.🌸
I love this video! In the past I made maybe 3 or 4 pieces in a month so your output is amazing to me! And inspiring because everything fits and the fabrics are perfect. That little new look dress that you made into a nightgown, it’s been hanging around my sewing room for a while, and I was just thinking of making it, so very glad that I saw your make because I would want to remove a lot of that excess fabric also. And the little Vogue top, I love the way that looked with your pants. You choose the best fabrics for each pattern! Thank you, thank you thank you ❤❤❤
Ahhh! Another Pattern Review buff! And Fabric Mart. Oh my! The best online fabrics at discount prices. That and Fashion Fabrics Club. This was fun to watch! Thank you for sharing!
Wow, those 60’s patterns turned out wonderful on you. The dress with the shimmer is totally beautiful on you! Great job! Also, the wrap shirt is very beautiful on you as well. Thanks for sharing. You look like you enjoy clothes and sewing. 😃
Husband's a handsome hunk. Love the robe. Magnificent sewing job, as always. Your nightgown is adorable. Only you can carry it off. Just darling on you. You've got the perfect figure and personality to carry it off, so stop complaining.
Oh laverne, you made me chuckle. Love it!! The “so stop complaining” is the best.👍And wow! You’ve said such kind things. My husband might get a big head after I tell him this! Thanks for pointing out the better qualities of the nightgown. I was pretty put out with it, but I’m taking your advice. No more complaining!!
Hi Grizabella! Hope all is well. Glad you could stop in, thanks for the compliments. My husband is hilarious and getting funnier with these videos. I’ll have to keep sewing for him now, lol.😄
I love the midi dress with the vertical stripes on you. It’s so flattering! Also I love the vintage top of quilting cotton with the selvage fabric at the sleeves and hem. So cute 🥰 THANKS!
Hi Viv, wanted to say thank you for showing us the finished versions of the patterns. So much better than the pictures. And I made the New Look #6588 fleece pullover that your hubby modeled for my grandson for Christmas and HE LOVED IT. Please tell him thank you for me. Blessings, keep on sewing!!!
Oh biggy, that’s fabulous! Congrats on making that pullover for your grandson. I can imagine how much he must love it! You’re a sweet grandma! Thanks for writing. It is truly my pleasure to show patterns sewn up and worn on a regular person. I’ll always let you know when I had problems too, lol.
Hi Vivmom, Thank you so much for another lovely video! My fiance watches your videos with me; his favourite bits are when your husband models the garments you make for him; what a star! Your makes were fab as always. Cheerio, Jodie 🙂
Oh Jodie, how sweet. Yes, my husband has a knack for stealing the scene, and he really isn’t trying to! That slinking in with the robe on made me laugh so hard.😄Congratulations on your engagement! 💍 How exciting!! Thank you for writing, hope to see you again soon.
You look better than the models do, and you always make me smile. The 1966 dress is so gorgeous, the fabric and the fit are great on you. Ok, I had to edit again and again because they are so lovely.
Aww thank you, Monica! You are a dear!!💕I love that you love the 1960’s dress. That is truly my favorite decade to sew. The designs are timeless and almost always flattering. I love to pair the old patterns with modern fabric and see what happens. I appreciate you watching and writing - can’t thank you enough!🌸
Loved the border print dress, and the green vertical dress was beautiful. I've been sewing since '69, but I'm still learning new things from your videos. Great job, and thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Charmaine! Sewing is just full of new little tricks and tips, isn’t it? I love watching others and learning. Round we go, helping and inspiring one another. Love it!😄
Isn’t he fun? He really and truly loves the clothing that I make for him. I need to step up my game and sew some men’s pants - I have the pattern but it’s a Burda so I’m a little intimidated. But if he could dress head to toe in my makes I know he would dig it. I feel very fortunate!😄👍Thank you, shelly kelly!
Love love loved all your "makes", especially the border print dress and the last long caftan. Thank you for taking the time to model all the outfits and giving us pattern #s.
Fabulous makes, Viv! Love all of them. The 60s top with the purple taffeta bands and the asymmetrical top are gorgeous. Enjoyed seeing your husband and the cat tail cameo.😊
Thanks Laura! We died laughing at some of the elements of this video. Well edited it is NOT. But hey, it’s more fun this way. Did you like my husband’s I Dream of Jeannie pop in?! 😂Thank you so much for calling my makes fabulous... that is just so kind!!💕
I thought I sew too much! But u got me beat. This is a good critique on pattern/ fabrics. I love when u site what the fabric content is & where u found it. It’s so hard to judge fabric when u can’t touch it. I love knits & we both share our love of prints. Keep up the good work -love your videos🥰
What a great job on the garments for your dapper husband. I can picture him with a pipe in that robe. God Bless you both. You are so cute with each other. It's adorable. Again, I have to tell you how much I love the sparkly 60's dress. I love the little cream jacket. I want one in cream and one in a gold. Not a shiny gold, but a muted soft faded shimmer gold. I don't think they make the fabrics I envision in my head. Also love the tie dress. I have a green tunic almost exactly like it. I love it. I don't know how you get so many things made in a month. I'm always so impressed. Thank you for these very inspiring videos!
I hope I’ve told you before how much I adore your notes, Maureen, and this one is no different. I almost spit my kombucha at the pipe comment!! That image alone is gold.😂I also love that you love the sparkly dress!! Now I want to find a soft shimmer gold for your jacket. Try Fabric Mart and put “shimmer” in the search bar. They have a selection of the same fabric I used for the dress. I ordered more in a “merlot” color. It’s really easy fabric to sew.👍I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your encouragement. You’re the best!😃
Well, McDang! I’m gobsmacked! Those makes are stunning. And I’m not just throwing roses at you, either! Although you deserve them with 18 makes! You never cease to inspire us! You have a knack for knowing what goes together too - loved the tops you paired with the pants or skirt. I loved the material when you videoed the fabric hauls, but the fabrics paired with each pattern was beautiful! I don’t know one I would say was a favorite. The striped floral for the maxi type dress with the black boots was beautiful! The kimono type dress was really different and pretty and ... oh, I could just go on about each one. The little top that you made longer and put the purple selvage bands on - I never would have guessed that as quilting cotton (HL), (had I not seen the fabric haul) but then you told us again here, and I kept thinking 💭 I can’t even tell that by looking. It was such a sweet collar. I can’t even imagine going to your closet and trying to make up my mind about what to wear were it mine. Right now my closet is not hard at all....what’s clean? I really want to sew...I do, but my husband bought me a Cricut Maker, unsolicited I will add, and now I’m designing shirts for all the grands. I JUST CANNOT HELP MYSELF! Maybe I need a counselor who can get me back in the groove. I soon won’t have a thing to wear, but my grandchildren will all have fun, decorated shirts, and me? I’ll be the grandma in the paper sack! DOES ANYONE KNOW how many hours one can spend designing those shirts?! Oh. My. Word! But, I guess it’s harder for me to do something for myself...old hang ups hanging on? Probably.... Well, I’m going back and watch this again right now....I want to drool a little more! And thanks to your husband! Loved the man-apparel as well. I actually thought the length on his robe was perfect. Of course, my hubby is NOT 6’4” either! Hahaha! Seriously, if sewing were a sport you may be ready for the Iron Man triathlon! Beautiful makes! Have a wonderful weekend, welcome to February! Big kudos to you, Viv, awesome work!💝
Hi NK! Thank you x 1 million for all your sweet words and kind compliments. And congratulations on your new Cricut!! I don’t understand what they are, but you can design clothes with them?? That sounds way cool. As always you give me a treat of a message and I loved every word.😄💕
I definitely did not notice your eye shadow because I was so excited to see what you made. Also, for me what I always notice is your smile and enthusiasm! So never to worry..... Great job on all the clothes you made!! God Bless.
Aww you’re a darling, K. I think I was in too big of a hurry for this one, and my husband is verrrry slow. (Can you say Polar Opposites?!) That’ll teach me to hurry. I so appreciate your reassurance!💕And your compliments, and your sweet insights. I don’t feel all that deserving but it is still marvelous nonetheless and I can’t thank you enough.
OMG when your husband walked behind you....I died. Just as my husband (in a robe) came up to watch! Loved it !!!!! I just got back into sewing this month (I have made 4 outfits so far). Love your stuff. Hi from Nova Scotia Canada
Yes, Jackie, you’ve hit the nail on the head. He is a trooper and always ready with something to crack me up. I will definitely keep sewing for him!😄Thanks for writing.
Love your makes, especially the border print dress, it was spectacular. Also love how your husband is cool with modelling the clothes you make him. Happy sewing
Thank you, Kim! This was lovely to hear. My husband is totally happy with being in the videos. He makes me laugh so hard I have to keep sewing for him!😄👍
I have been watching you since the very beginning. Love the way you get right to the point. Thank you for putting yourself out there for us to enjoy. I thought I was the fabric queen, but you definitely have me beat! LOL It takes courage to order fabric online because you can't feel and see it before you buy. You have had GREAT luck with your choices. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you, Sera, that is such a sweet thing to say. What you see is what you get with me ... right down to the amateur filming! I hope to improve but don’t want to lose the highly comical elements. So I’ll keep sewing for my husband!😄
Haha, thanks Kathy!😃 I got stuck on the pointing thing and really need to get over it! Aww, thanks for saying we are a handsome couple. I share all these comments with my husband and I know he’ll say “oh that’s so nice” when I read yours to him. And he will be right!!
Love the show, and that guy model, you have is great.. lol. I love them all, but my very fave is the black asymmetrical top with the pink flowers and the pants. The whole outfit just fits so nicely and is just exquisite. You're teaching me more about fabrics and how they adapt to certain styles. Congrats on the many makes.
Hi Lynn! Thanks so much. Yeah, that guy I picked up for modeling clothes has worked out pretty well.😄 I wore the wrap top today!! I went over to my sister’s house and she said, “There it is! I just watched it yesterday!”😂 It’s such a good pattern I went and bought a duplicate. And actually it was a bit of a pain with all the single layer cutting (ugh! I hate single layer cutting!) but the result convinced me to have a back up. I’ll be making it again - and the pants are darling for Spring.
Wow Viv, you were busy. Thanks for sharing, love your energy and happy disposition. That was fun, my little 5 year old granddaughter said Nana can we watch more from her, see even a little girl knows when you are having fun. Happy day to you.
Oh my goodness, Jorja, did this ever make me smile. Thank you!! I also have a very impatient disposition and demand to know why patterns instruct certain things...(pardon me while I dial up Simplicity again😂) but I guess overall I have a happy disposition. You’re really sweet to point this out, it gives me confidence. And that your granddaughter was interested is just too precious!!💕
You have inspired me to make clothing again hadn't made clothes since my kids were in grade school they are married with infants now. I have been making quilts. Anyway made two cardigans and a top and just came back from JoAnns with more material. Keep making videos you are great!!🌞
Yippee Maureen!! I’m so happy to hear this. Sewing is a great way to carve out some time for solitude, and the creativity is a bonus. All helps keep us young!😄👍Handmade quality is hard to beat. Thank you for writing and telling me that you’re sewing.💕
Vivmom... You have changed my sewing life! Thanks to you I now reach for the colorful prints and bolder fabric. And I sew... a LOT more. You are inspirational, so friendly, of course beautiful and everything looks great on you. I love how you show and comment on the patterns. Your warm and congenial approach makes me think I can do the garments too. I do blame you (only a bit) for my growing fabric stash -what is it about sewing that you end up buying fabrics you don’t even know what to do with??? LOL Please continue you amazing work. You are a star!
Oh my gosh, Aline, this comment blew me away in its generosity and sweetness. Thank you!! I always love to hear when people are sewing, or have decided to start sewing, or return to sewing. Just sewing - any way shape or form is good with me! But you’ve gone and spoken to the confidence aspect by choosing colorful prints and bolder fabrics, and that truly thrills me.😄👍Keep reaching for what you love, because it’ll show on your face that you’re wearing what makes you feel great. I’m a horrible influence regarding fabric because I’ll always advise to get MORE.😂Thanks again for your most uplifting note and for joining me. Keep sewing!💕
Oh thanks, Norma! I am so happy you picked that outfit to comment on. The fabric for the skirt presented a bit of a challenge with those big cabbages all over it. I ordered it for its color and uniqueness, and then thought: what am I going to do with this?! A skirt seemed logical. Then what color to wear with it?! Suffice to say I’ll be choosing my fabric a bit more wisely. Things with big circles are tricky (ahem, bust placement😄) and things without at least a little black are hard to match with other garments. Live and learn. I do love how it turned out.👍
I loved all the makes!!!! Your hubby is such a hoot😁 and sister , those legs of yours.. Holy smokes id never wear pants.. 😊😊😊 fun video.. Have a great weekend..
Thanks SuperBetty! You’re so sweet. He was cracking me up...sneaking in behind me in his robe. LOL. I’m thrilled that you liked everything. January was productive, I don’t think February will be up to that speed but I’ll just be happy to sew.😄👍
Ok....Seriously how did you manage to sew so many wonderful garment in just a month. I could only manage a simple cardigan. You are my sewing superhero. Beautiful makes Viv, and that husband of your is such a cool cat.
I love this note, Sew Sista!! Thank you.💕I guess January just fell into a rhythm for me. Not every month will be like that, for sure. And don’t say “I could only manage a simple cardigan”...NO!!! You say “I sewed myself a beautiful cardigan and I’m sure I’ll wear it constantly.” Because a cardigan will take you from cold weather into Spring, and in Summer you can take it to freezing grocery stores and movie theaters. It will return its worth to you one hundred-fold. Fabulous!!! All sewing is great sewing and I’m happy when people sew!!! We spur each other on. Thanks for all the kind and uplifting things you said to me. Come back soon!!😄
Hi Barbara, and thanks so much for your sweet comment!😄💕He’ll be back in February-I had to make sure of that. First thing this month off my machine was a top for him.😂
Just came across your channel.your husband is a trooper.lol. and my how talented you are.always wished I could sew.no one ever taught me.maybe one day I'll learn on my own. Great work.. Thanks
Thank you Sandy! I always love it when people love the vintage selection(s). I am nuts for 1960’s fashion and the challenge for me is to make it look a little more current. Even if it looks old fashioned it’s still beautiful. But I think with modern fabrics the old styles can be elevated even more. Great to hear from you!
You and Brad are just darling. He is such a good sport and you are gorgeous in everything you sew.
Brad is a great model ! You can tell he is a bit shy, but he pulls it off like a "man". Bravo
I love this!!! Your husband is the perfect male model!!!! You two are great together!!!
Thanks so much, Dynamic Amethyst! It must come across that he makes me laugh. We are so different - he’s laid back, I’m hyper - but we definitely agree that laughter is very high-up-on-the-list of marital “must haves.” 😄💕
Hi Viv,
You should be getting royalties from the major pattern companies, I have found so many wonderful patterns due to your channel.
I would not have found them if not for you, thank you for your channel, and modeling your garments.
Also, your McCall's 2220 dress is gorgeous, I love the border print you chose.
Ahh, only in my dreams Prunes, but thank you!!😄💕I’m so happy to hear that you’ve found some winning patterns. Go you!!!
That was so much fun. Thank you for sharing. You look so cute in all of them and so does your cute hubby. Such a cute couple.
Aww, Anne, you’re so sweet. (My sister is named Anne-with-an-e. Do you always have to tell people about the “e” when you give them your name?) Glad you enjoyed this. Thank you for writing!!💕
Vivmom Sews lol, yes I do. I am also known as Anne-with-an-E. I also say people that spell it Ann, just don’t know the right way to spell it.
How really beautiful you are. You could wear a sack and still be your gorgoues self. Plus all that style and talent X you are a team on your own Good day God bless you xx
Thank you so much, Mary. You are always a delight and so very generous!
Your husband is a real jem....and u are a doll!
I think the dress with the ties and the V in the back...us backward. The V shoulder be in the front?
Ok..correcting errors. Tie dress...should have V in the front?
Great video....u have been busy!
Hi Karen, thanks! Actually the V neck belongs in the back on this dress design. Different, huh? I saw one woman @ Pattern Review turned hers around. I guess I could try it both ways!
The nightgown is adorable!!
I love all the 18 pieces. Your husband is a great model.
Aww, thank you Bling Blahh! To say you loved all of them is so very nice of you! I’ll be sure to tell my husband what you’ve said. He will be charmed and I’ll just go ahead and thank you for him!😄💕
Ok, I've decided that you'd look wonderful in anything. And your hair looks super cute. Thanks for sharing!!!
Well, Ferguson, you definitely know how to make someone feel terrific! Thank you!!😄💕
This was soooo AWESOME!!!!
Ok, I just loved this video. Your hubby is so cute. He's a good sport.
Many thanks bjquilts! We laughed ourselves silly watching it back. Oh my goodness, when he slinks up behind me. Or the I Dream of Jeannie pop in, and the cat’s tail! I am blessed that my subscribers have a lot of patience!!😄💕
Love that you include your husband in your sewing ventures. What a great sport!
Hi Monica, he’s so much fun in the videos that I just have to keep sewing for him.😄 Glad you’re here; thank you for taking the time to write.
I say you had 18 wins for the month. Beautiful lady, beautiful clothes.
"That's my favorite, no - that's my favorite. Wait, That's my favorite!" Hahaha!
Rob yN lol that was me
Oh you sweetheart!! I don’t know how to thank you!😄💕
Hi K G - see my reply to Rob yN - same goes for you!😄💕
Loved the use of the Selvedge and the contrast in the top made of quilting cotton. Great Vlog!
I LOVE these older patterns! YOU go girl!
Thanks so much Sheila!!
You made my day. Whenever I log in and see a new post from Vivmom I smile from ear to ear. Thanks for sharing your talent and time. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The solid light grey straight leg pants fit you perfectly. If I was shaped like you, I would make all my slacks from this pattern.
You and
Sending love and prayers, Jo. I’m so sorry for your loss, it’s a heartbreak. Thinking of you.❤️
You have a great personality and channel, I am a big girl so it’s hard for me to sew for myself. Years ago I started quilting to fulfill my sewing needs.your style is great and makes ppl happy to watch. Thank you so much
Thanks, Joanne! I’m so happy you’re here. It’s so nice to grab my phone and find a cheerful comment, blessings on you.😄💕
Officially BLOWN AWAY!!! So many great patterns and sews. You are such inspiration to all of us who are working towards sewing success. 😘
Aww, you’re a doll k3of5ks!! Your comment is just so cheerful and generous! Makes me feel great!!💯Can’t tell you how much it means. Thank you!!💕
You have been busy ! Loved all your makes
Thanks janet! I need to get sewing again. Projects await, as always!😄👍
Loved the 1966s dress! Empress line. Pretty. Year I was born!!
Omg I would totally wear the striped version of 8506. Nice makes
So cute, isn’t it? Find some beach towels!!😄
I love all your remakes of the 1960s patterns
Thank you, thank you thank you ❤❤❤
What a wonderful note, Dee, thank you!!❤️
Ahhh! Another Pattern Review buff! And Fabric Mart. Oh my! The best online fabrics at discount prices. That and Fashion Fabrics Club. This was fun to watch! Thank you for sharing!
Great makes and I love the way Hubby appeared on the scene 😀
You and me both, Dee! I cracked up at that. Thanks so much for being so kind!!😄💕
Wow, those 60’s patterns turned out wonderful on you. The dress with the shimmer is totally beautiful on you! Great job! Also, the wrap shirt is very beautiful on you as well. Thanks for sharing. You look like you enjoy clothes and sewing. 😃
60s outfits great again!!!
Dresses wonderful 😍
Mood blouse repeats on flowers perfect...
Love you!! I could totally have you as a friend with your smiling and laughing....Think I will trying sewing again.
Great video Vivmom! Have added a couple of the patterns to my wishlist! I love that you have your husband modeling some of his new clothes.
Hysterical when your cur good sported model husband comes out!
I died laughing at that, too, Lori!!😂
AMAZING makes Viv. There isn't one make I don't like. You are an amazing seamstress. Hope one day to be as good as you.
Oh my gosh, angela, what a sweet thing to say! Thank you!! That is such high praise. You’re very generous!😄💕
@@vivmomsews4962 Thanks from us both for your congratulations 😊 Looking forward to your next video!
That was great! Such cute pieces. Cracking up with your husband! "Cough, cough! ~ come back! " lol
LOVE his grand entrance!
Omg GoldenHugs, wasn’t that hilarious?! I am so happy you enjoyed it!😄👍
Loved the border print dress, and the green vertical dress was beautiful. I've been sewing since '69, but I'm still learning new things from your videos. Great job, and thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Charmaine! Sewing is just full of new little tricks and tips, isn’t it? I love watching others and learning. Round we go, helping and inspiring one another. Love it!😄
I especially loved seeing the vintage patterns all sewn up. Thanks for sharing
Thank you, ELIZABETH! If you love vintage, you’re speaking my language! (1960’s vintage, that is.😄)
Its awesome your husband supported you by modeling that great robe and hoody!
Awesome; 👏
Isn’t he fun? He really and truly loves the clothing that I make for him. I need to step up my game and sew some men’s pants - I have the pattern but it’s a Burda so I’m a little intimidated. But if he could dress head to toe in my makes I know he would dig it. I feel very fortunate!😄👍Thank you, shelly kelly!
Love love loved all your "makes", especially the border print dress and the last long caftan. Thank you for taking the time to model all the outfits and giving us pattern #s.
Another fabulous runway show.
Oh Gloria, this is so sweet. Thank you!!😄💕
You two! Just brightens my day to see you together.
Unbelievable that you made 19 items in January!!!! Wow, You’re amazing!! Thanks for sharing with us all!
Thanks Cindy! I’m happy you enjoyed the video. I’m not amazing, but you’re awfully sweet to say that!😄💕
I thought I sew too much!
Wow you have outdone yourself! Loved all of your "makes"--- The vintage top with the added purple cuffs was especially cute--- Thanks so much!
U have the best husband .....he supports u 100 percent .beautiful couple
Yes, Jackie, you’ve hit the nail on the head. He is a trooper and always ready with something to crack me up. I will definitely keep sewing for him!😄Thanks for writing.
The deer jacket it too cute, love the fabric choices.
I look forward to every one of your videos. You have this genuine and honesty personality that shines through.
Thank you, Sera, that is such a sweet thing to say. What you see is what you get with me ... right down to the amateur filming! I hope to improve but don’t want to lose the highly comical elements. So I’ll keep sewing for my husband!😄
Point away! Very nice month of sewing & You are a handsome couple.
Haha, thanks Kathy!😃 I got stuck on the pointing thing and really need to get over it! Aww, thanks for saying we are a handsome couple. I share all these comments with my husband and I know he’ll say “oh that’s so nice” when I read yours to him. And he will be right!!
You just make my day
Well heck, dallas, you make mine!😄💕
Wow, you've been busy! All nice pieces. Your husband is such a sport :)
Thanks Angel!😄💕
You make me want to get my sewing out of storage, love everything, you are very talented. Linda from Ohio.
Wow ! Great couple, you are beautiful and your husband is so handsome. Love everything you make I wish I was as talented as you. I love watching.
Oh Aida, what a sweet comment. Thank you! It is wonderful to have you here.😄💕
BRAVO! BRAVO! Two adorable models. Your production is amazing. Your sewing is again, I must say, on the mark!
Thanks June! I can hear the clapping from here, lol. So sweet!!😄💕
Your husband and you are the funniest!
LOL
Please continue you amazing work.
That nightgown is so cute, beautiful
I really like that last look, particularly the pink skirt with the large pattern.
Aw shoot, you’re being too kind Pamela!! Thank you, thank you. Love seeing when you write!💕😄
Wow awesome fashion show your husband was so cute and very helpful loved all the things that you made! 💕💕🥰
Thanks SuperBetty! You’re so sweet. He was cracking me up...sneaking in behind me in his robe. LOL. I’m thrilled that you liked everything. January was productive, I don’t think February will be up to that speed but I’ll just be happy to sew.😄👍
18 - woohoo!! Loving January’s batch of makes.

Thanks
It helps so much to see the patterns made and on a real body!
Your husband is such a good sport! Another great video, love the vintage ones especially!
Great makes wow 18 makes you rock, I love all your makes; 2 favs are the stripped long dress and the gray satin dress.
Thanks for picking favs, Fatine! It’s really fun to read. You are so nice to write and give me these compliments!😄💕
