I love, love, love the 1960s dramatic, poka dot dress! I was born in '64 too young to really appreciate the styles until I was older. It's my favorite era. Anyway I enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing.
You and Brad are the cutest couple!! Love what you made for him and yourself, Viv‼️😊💝It is a delight to view these incredible videos of your sewing skills and your love for life. God bless you and your beautiful family!!😍🙏🏽✌🏽️💐
Cute hair with curls. Pretty trim, great tops. Love the mauve and purple fabrics. I love the silver dot dress; very "on trend". So great to see all of these patterns made-up in a wide variety of fabric. Very pretty. You have been very busy. Thank you for showing all of your fabulous sewing makes.
Lol 🤣🤣on the swashbuckler shirt. You said you would make it look great and that he would love it. You did it!!!! It really looks fantastic. Very nice to "meet" you Brad and your a great sport and model. You guys made my day today.
And you make my day, Silverleaf. Thank you!!💕That crazy fabric actually worked. Now I feel bolder about using iffy prints. Of course, there’s always the chance they’ll sink like a stone, but hey. That’s the gamble of sewing and it’s ultimately a good thing. Gives us a lesson and makes us want to get right back at it with a win!!💯👏👏
So true and and He was right, this is now high fashion and the price tag for the shirt would be $600 in one of those super fancy shops. You have set the bar very high on this make lol. It will be fun to see this grow as many thing do here in YT land. It will be like back in the day we would have ugly Hawaii shirt day on Fridays now we will have vivmom's monthly crazy fabric make 🤣and vote who sewed it best, who wears it best etc...
This shirt was great but I would have checked to see what the repeat was , in inches, so you could adjust the pattern so you wouldn’t cut their heads off. Then I just would add that amount to total fabric purchase. Just a suggestion. Beautiful colors.
Avast mateys!! The pirate shirt came out great and Brad wears it well. And the circle dress was the perfect choice pattern for that fabric! Y’all are a great couple. Thanks for another thoroughly enjoyable video!! Love you guys ❤
That 60's polka dot dress is a dream. Very nice job on that. I also like the very last dress. I love that round neckline with the bow. The dress is so cute. Bravo!
You nailed that shirt. I can't believe how absolutely gorgeous and expensive it looks when the fabric was so totally kooky with the swashbucklers on it. I wouldn't have thought it. You rock!
The colorful shirt for hubby is the winner...!! Although I did like all the things you made, it's fun to see what you made from all that gorgeous fabric. I enjoy watching it all...!! 🌞 🌞
I really appreciate that you make and model these patterns. You notice to look at a picture of a garment on somebody is never the same as seeing it on a real person! And your presentation is just make it an extra delightful especially with your Celebrity guests oh I mean your husband!
Hello I look forward each time to see your makes, there lovely, dont know how you make so many ☺. Nice to see what youve made your husband . He looks pleased with what youve made for him. Thank you for the vidios
Yippee!! I’m so happy they turned out and that they’re getting favorable reactions. The 60’s dress is a personal favorite. Thanks Michelle for writing and letting me know that you love it, too.😄💕
We have a ball together, hope it shows!💕I’m always asking/telling him to speak louder. How did I wind up with such a soft spoken man?! Life is crazy. Thank you for writing, Cynthia!😄🎀
I love how you and your hubs model your makes and the pattern discussion that follows. It helps to see that the patterns and instructions we buy sometimes need tweaking!
Viv, you have knocked it out of ballpark with this month’s makes. I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite, but the giant dot dress is the star of the show. You’re an inspiration.
Great video! In Canada we say “Mōhv”. The fabric you picked for McCall’s 5395 - 60’s dress with dramatic fabric - was spot on! (🤭but, truthfully, in the 60’s & early 70’s, our hems went MUCH shorter 🙃). Love, love, love your contagious enthusiasm. I sewed all through school as money was tight & patterns & fabrics were cheap in the 70’s. I sewed pants, tops, jackets, winter coats, etc, etc. Never gave a thought that someone might have snickered. I think we, who create in many ways, just march along to our own drumbeats, and it’s good to be oblivious to anyone who would like to dampen our spirits. Keep sharing, you’re an encouraging resource. 💖
1960s dot dress is AMAZING! You look stunning in it - a bit of glam yet confortable - really really great. I love that pattern. I would make 10 dresses with it, just change the fabric and wear them all the time :)
Hi Kris, thanks so much!😄💕I’m lucky that my husband truly loves what I sew for him. He was even wearing that tee shirt around with the chest pocket that I placed too far down and I had to tell him that’s a “house only” shirt. LOL. It sure is fun to sew for someone who wears and enjoys the garments.
Vivmom Sews you are so right it is wonderful to see for someone that appreciates it. But you have spurred me on to sew more for ME. Joy talks about you all the time. I think your videos are sew real! Real life living. I am now making the cute New Look tunic top you just made on camera. I like to see when ppl sew on camera it gives others great tips. Love ya Girl. Kris
Yes!! I love to hear when people are sewing!! I don’t want this precious craft to die out. And actually I think it’s gotten a real upward surge from shows like Project Runway (which I’ve never seen) and Great British Sewing Bee (which I have seen, just a couple seasons at the beginning, and it’s marvelous.) Anything that puts sewing on the map in a positive light is a great thing!! Happy sewing. Thanks for being here!😃
Love the last dress on you the most ,the neckline really suits you. You are really a busy bee when it comes to sewing.thanks for your videos ,you are inspiring.
Mom made me stop what I was doing to sit down and watch this video. She kept telling me about the large polka dot trapeze dress and how you looked like a retro model in it. She was right, you had some really amazing makes and I loved it all! Love the hem band action!
You have wowed me this month. I am loving that crazy print shirt you made Brad. And the 1960's dress is gorgeous. That is the dress you should have worn for the wedding.
Oh wow, hadn’t thought about it being a wedding dress! That would be some eclectic wedding for sure. You have a creative eye, Kristi.😄👍Thank you for your generous compliments, I appreciate your words so much!💕
@@vivmomsews4962 That would make a great wedding statement. Not to tell anyone and have a 60's wedding. All the people in the wedding wearing a 60's theme and the attendees will say what era is this. Haha a wedding to remember.
I think your makes look so perfect on you. I loved them all. Your husband looks equally dapper in his. Thanks so much for sharing. You get so much sewing done. Amazing!!
Oh gosh, Lynette, you’re so nice!!💕Thank you. I had to push myself to sew in February - I battle laziness and I need to improve. Hopefully March will find me with a bit more zip. (Have you ever noticed how easy it is to make sewing puns?😂)
I love the print shirt you made for your husband, it your best one yet. The dress with the big circles is fantastic! Very Doris Day. And the last one was so cute! I love the color, the print and the scoop neckline and bow. I’ve said it before but I absolutely love your videos, they are so much fun. Thank you for making them. Cindy
Those are all really cute!! Love the remade purple dress-into-tunic, the 60's polkad dot gold dress, and the European swashbuckler print shirt!! So fun to watch!!
OMG Viv! Your hubby’s a real peach. The swashbuckler shirt turned out great and he wears it with style. And you finally made a dress with the big polka dots. so sweet! Well done good woman.
Constance: My absolute fav also. What STYLE they had in the sixties. Via you look like a million bucks in that dress. Was it a very hard one to sew? That collar looks tricky. (Tricky = too hard for me to sew.)
Thank you, Norma. I didn’t quite know what the heck to do with that fabric. It’s funny, I often get ideas for my clothes when I’m drifting off to sleep. Then I’m excited to pair up pattern and fabric and make it come to life. I don’t think I will EVER get tired of sewing!!😄💕
So many gorgeous makes Viv. Love those trousers - they look so good on you and go beautifully with so many of the tops you made. Love how you altered the split sleeve dress...it's made a fabulous top!!
I think your makes this month hit it out of the ballpark. I loved each and every one of them. I had a lot of favorites but the top favorites are the large polka dot 60s dress and the swashbuckler shirt for Brad. You are such a delight Viv. I look forward to your videos.
My favorite things were the swashbuckler shirt, the polka dot dress with the fabric reversed on the sleeves (brilliant use of that fabric!), and the last dress with the bow in the front (so cute and casual!). Thanks for these videos of the luscious clothes! I adore your wardrobe! It was also very clever of you to refashion that shiny dress into a tunic. Much cuter now!
Hi Viv, I just love watching your videos! I must say there is nothing you ever sew that I don't like. I just adore you, your style and class. I LOVED everything. Happy March!
Yay, thanks Melinda!💕I think the 60’s dress this month was a personal favorite. It’s just so screamin’ 60’s!! Might as well go “all in” with some of these fabrics and patterns. It’s really fun. And the yellow shirt with the people (for Brad) is just a hoot. I don’t know what the heck is going on in the scene and I probably called him a swashbuckler in error, lol.
The 2nd shirt for Brad is excellent, the grayish small pattern. What a rich looking shirt! The big pattern shirt was great too. The purple dress redo, wow!! Burda 6608 Awesome! Perfect fabric, great fit, moves wonderfully! People dress us fun on try as a top.👏👏👏💜 I'm a new subscriber thanks for listening to comments on past videos.
You are so cute and fabulous and talented... How you are able to do all of this in a month is mind blowing... love your makes really loved how your husbands printed shirt came out wow what a print turned out GREAT! The last dress I really liked ...miss vi you can wear anything and pull it off, what a beautiful couple you and your husband are!!! Looking forward to next view of patterns and prints
Oh gail, this is so sweet. Thank you!!😄💕I guess that crazy print worked after all. If he wants to wear it, I know it’s worked.👍Thanks for liking the last dress, too. I think it’ll soften as I wear & wash, and I’m hoping it’ll become a summer favorite.
Im new to your channel. I cant get enough! Love your personality and humor. I have to ask....what do you do with all of your clothes? It looks like you have a ton.
Brilliant! You are a Great Sewing Designer! Everything works including that crazy swashbuckler print on your husbands shirt, it does look like an expensive designer! Love all the hem bands, you gave me some great ideas! Thank you Love your videos!
😍 all so great! You and Brad are so fabulous ! Love his swashbukler shirt and all your outfits were WOW! The mauve pants are such a staple here. I'm motivated! You're sunshine on a cloudy day!
I love all your makes. And you both look great in them. That's swashbuckler shirt is fantastic and eye catching. That fashion remake came out great. And that dress with the polka dots oh I love that. 👍👍👍👍👍
Brad & Viv for the win ❣️ February is now national hem band month! Ohhhh how I love Brad's swish swashbuckler shirt!!! 😊 He rocks it! It's like a Roberto Cavalli! 😎 I also like the changes you made to the dress now tunic. The pattern you chose to show off the statement fabric was perfect! The batik dress is great and the belt is 👏 I love the Burda ensemble -- I'm going to have to get that pattern! Wonderful makes 👏
Love when you share your makes and provide a review of the pattern. I've been busy so haven't been sewing but you inspire me to get back at it. Thank you!!!
I just have to say that you're an inspiration. I can look at a pattern and not know what fabric to use. But you always seem to be able to put the perfect pattern and fabric together. Enjoy your videos.
I loved it all. The 1960's dress is fabulous. The pants you make always seem great and you can pair them up with so much. I am taking my first sewing class tomorrow with my 14 year old daughter. We are both excited. Your videos and clothes are great. Thanks!
Yay Terri!! A sewing class!!💯That’s fantastic. I hope you have a wonderful instructor. There’s a lot going on with sewing, but you can start with something basic. Then it will build on itself and you’ll feel more and more confident while your skills skyrocket. It’s such a lovely hobby. Oh sure, there are frustrations. The way to conquer them? Keep sewing!!💕Thank you so much for writing. Keep me posted on your progress. I’m cheering for you!!👏👏
I think your husband hit the nail on the head when he said his shirt looked like a $600 shirt from BeVerly Hills, your dramatic print dress looks like a VERY expensive designer dress. You two look like stars. I am happy to see your patterns fitting so well over the bustline. I too am a bustie lady and it’s near impossible to find a woven fabric garment that fits there without being huge everywhere else. You have inspired me to try some of the newer patterns, or even the vintage ones again. Happy sewing!
As usual, you have awed me. I especially loved the 60’s big circle dress and the tunic you made from the dress you didn’t like. I love your energy, style, and I want to look just like you in another life. Lol
Love the DEAR STELLA dress the best. Also love how you incorporated bands and lace. The Burda and the large polka dot fabric dress look very nice too. Always look forward to your videos and it amazes me how what you make normally looks better than the pattern photo. Thanks for all the videos!
Thanks, BRENDA! Aren’t you sweet. I really appreciate it!! Here’s something odd about me (among many, many things lol) I like pattern envelopes with drawings more so than those with pictures. I feel like I can be more creative with a drawing. I know a lot of people prefer a photo of the garment already sewn. Well, we each march to our own drummer.😄👍I love the Dear Stella dress, too! It’ll be wonderful for summer, and it will only get softer in the wash.
loving that 1960's bold polka dot print dress!!! Looks dressy enough for an occasion!
That fabric choice with the metallic and polka dot!!! It's one thing to be able to sew but picking fabric is truly a talent
I love your McCalls dress...u look fabulous
Love your videos
Thank you, thank you!😃🌺
You and Brad are such a cute couple. I love that he doesn't mind modeling the things you sew. Very sweet. You are very inspiring. Thank you.

Love, love, love your fashion shows!!!!!!!
Thanks, dear!😄💕
You both can wear dramatic fabrics! The swashbuckler shirt - yes, thank you, Brad! The 1966 dress with circles - Yes!!!!
Thanks so much, Rob yN!!😄💕
My favorite is the swash buckler shirt, you did a great job on that.

Bravo Brad!!
Yay!! Thanks L B!!😄💕
Throw down the red carpet for Brad!
I was wondering how you were going to make it work. It turned out great!
This shirt was great but I would have checked to see what the repeat was , in inches, so you could adjust the pattern so you wouldn’t cut their heads off. Then I just would add that amount to total fabric purchase. Just a suggestion. Beautiful colors.
OMG that shirt- Whoo hoo, love it.

I LOVE! the 60's dotty dress. All of them were great but that and the mauve pants were the BEST!
Yay! I love those pieces, too. Thanks Judith!😄💕
Great job! The 1960’s circle dress is to die for! I love it 💓💓💓💓

1960’s dramatic fabric dress🥰, looks fabulous on you !! Your male model is the best sport ever, kudos to him.
Love your makes! Specially the '60 dress, looks like it is a Startrek episode! Just love it!
Love your fashion show!!!! So many great pieces but my top two favorites: Brad’s wild and crazy guy shirt and your spot on Doris Day dress.
Viv, you have knocked it out of ballpark with this month’s makes. I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite, but the giant dot dress is the star of the show. You’re an inspiration.

I wish I understood this comment a little bit better, Red Carded. But thank you...😄

Hi Viv, I just love watching your videos! I must say there is nothing you ever sew that I don't like. I just adore you, your style and class. I LOVED everything. Happy March!

Im new to your channel. I cant get enough! Love your personality and humor. I have to ask....what do you do with all of your clothes? It looks like you have a ton.
Love the silver and gold polka dot dress. Cute but also rich and designer look.
Aww thank you, Shirley!💕I love that dress too.
Well right back at ya, Eljay! Thanks for leaving me this message. Those purple pants will help me out a lot. Who knew?!😄👍
I love all your makes. And you both look great in them. That's swashbuckler shirt is fantastic and eye catching. That fashion remake came out great. And that dress with the polka dots oh I love that. 👍👍👍👍👍
Oh my gosh ...you guys are way too cute. Your makes are fab.
Thank you, Sew Blessed. Sew sweet!!😄💕
Brad & Viv for the win ❣️ February is now national hem band month!
Ohhhh how I love Brad's swish swashbuckler shirt!!! 😊 He rocks it! It's like a Roberto Cavalli! 😎
I also like the changes you made to the dress now tunic. The pattern you chose to show off the statement fabric was perfect!
The batik dress is great and the belt is 👏 I love the Burda ensemble -- I'm going to have to get that pattern!
Wonderful makes 👏
Live the 60s patterns. The big dot dress when I first saw it you reminded me of Doris Dey. Love all your makes.
Awesome ! you are both so adorable! Love the "Swashbuckler/Gucci Shirt" 👏
Love all the makes that swashbuckler fabric looks so good in the shirt but I think hat 1960's dress is the winner, absolutely fantastic xx
Yippee!!🎉🎊I’m so glad you like everything, QG. It’s always great to hear from you.
Great remake on the purple dress! I love the silver dress.
Wow! The pattern matching on your hubby's shirt is AMAZING!!! I didn't even know there was a pocket until you pointed it out 😮😍 x
Aw shucks, really? Thanks Chelbyuk! Made my day!😄💕
Love, love, love, love, love the swashbuckler shirt! OMG it's the bomb!!!!
Nice floral shirt for your husband, nice top for yourself.
As usual, you have awed me. I especially loved the 60’s big circle dress and the tunic you made from the dress you didn’t like. I love your energy, style, and I want to look just like you in another life. Lol
So many beautiful fabrics! Loved the last dress the most. They all look fabulous on you . Love to you both xxxxxx
Your makes are incredible you have chosen patterns for fabrics very well
Cool makes! The swashbuckle shirt turned out very well--I'm impressed. Love the big polka dot dress--perfect 60's dress!!
Thanks Joanne! Hope all is well.😄💕
Oh I love your 1960s dress and fabric!
