Now on to the pawn shop to find a decent guitar to keep in alt G for the next few years. Yeah, you opened a can of worms here. Good job you did! Very appreciative! 🎸☮️

Is there tab anywhere for that wonderful open G arrangement of "Both Sides Now"? Very beautiful.

I always enjoy discovering the nuggets of knowledge during the party atmosphere of ‘String Theory’… but wasn’t sure what to expect watching a JP guitar lesson. Well I found it brilliant.
I’m an old guy relearning to play… I took a month of in-person lessons to get started, then continued improving by using RUclips lessons. JP is an amazing musician… but to be frank, I was surprise at how great JP is as a teacher.
This lesson is relaxed with no fluff. So far, I’ve watch this video twice… the second time holding a guitar. The production values and camera angles are smart! You feel you’re looking over JP’s shoulder, the point of view is exactly what you see when playing. (You don’t get that with an in-person lesson.)

I’m a subscriber to your channel and just stumbled on this. Thank you so much for the chord lesson to practice on my 5 string reworked acoustic I built. And yes; I’m addicted to open G. lol
    Take care. 😉

Great lesson as always, and I have always loved open G tuning which I learned from Boston's Tom Rush back in the mid-sixties with a Jeff Muldaur tune called Mole's Moan. I have never played that tune the same way twice!!

Excellent thoughts on open G! Have been stuck with Bonaparte's Retreat in open G as my only tune. Thanks for giving us a little direction in open tunings. They are beautiful voicings.
