Thanks for the lap Misha, what a great experience! And thank you for being a great host, appreciate your help throughout our time there :) Will be back next year!
Thanks for sharing the experience with us!
Great car
To me one of the best sounding cars I have ever heard. I liked your chilled and enthusiastic vibe dude. Enjoy your lovely car.
Thank you so much for this experience!
You seem like a great bloke, enjoy your awesome modern classic. Very cool that you're doing this kind of thing with it. Greetings from the tip of africa
That first guy on the motorcycle was totally clueless!
I guess the question is was he clueless? Or, was he being inconsiderate?
Nothing wrong with being slow in corners. But just use your mirrors.
@@mildmanneredthinkingman9323 I suspect both
@@ilijapetkovski can’t use your mirrors while riding bikes in a track, thats why all racecars have mirrors, but no racebikes do.
@@gerardofiano4866why not
It's probably the best GT car ever made! Love that sound.
There is something about the Noise that the Maserati of that era have
Let me tell you why this specific V8 would sky rocket in its value.
1. Gorgeous looking car.
2. N/A engine only for MC Stradale and bounces off the rev limiter.
3. Probably best sounding Nat Asp engine next to LFA / Aventador.
4. Has got that Italian style.
That first biker is a prime example of a clueless biker on the ring. Gonna use this clip for reference 😅
Timeless design, so much so that the brand new one looks pretty much identical...as for the engine being the same as that of a 458, this is actually a cross plane crank as opposed to a flat plane crank, hence the increase in torque and different burbly sound
Oh that's why it sounds like a Corvette (LS7).
doug demuro was saying its the entertainment system and general tech is real way behind for the price bracket, basically you could get a much more up to date car for the same price, but sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants. ive been driving to work and there is one parked on the side of the road its red with black accents and lowered its got extra body parts and man it looks badass! i think there is something going on with it because it never moves and has a nasty dent in the door, i think these might appreciate in the future because people just love them, i think they are quite different plus it has a ferrari v8!!
@@goldtutchDough reviewed the MC. This is the race version - MC Stradale which is not available in the US
cant believe Rossi let you pass at the beginning there 🤣
Honestly just looked like Misha found a spot to overtake around the outside on a right hand corner. Rossi let him past by accident.
Sorry to say, but whenever I see a biker in a Nordschleife video, they are always annoying and slowing cars down. It just doesn't work together on a track.
Luckily Rossi didn't puss them of the track 😂
What an engine! Driving dynamics look very good too imo - looks neutral, compliant ... Lovely.
It was actually surprised how well it drove, well impressed
The MC Stradale is the GT3 to a 991 GTS so quite a lot was changed from the 4.7S . The basic shape and components are the same but the Stradale is the better "sports car/Sports-GT" and the regular 4.7 S the better Gt-car.
@@W0o0dy nice, thx for the info. Since this is obvlously still very compliant (Misha even called it soft(-ish)), the normal version must be a boat then .. hehe.
@@stoneeh the balance has always been good. Maserati makes great balanced cars. But the regular S is slightly harder than the average couch in the softness department so yeah nice and comfy but well balanced. This is something you can actually play with at the limit. It rewards a decent driver.
Wow the first biker omg🙈
Drove an S for two weeks. Absolutely stunning looks and nothing sounds better stock
Perfect Noise and Italian drama! Maserati delivers. Thanks Misha it was special. ❤
One of the reasons i absolutely love italian cars, the looks, the emotion, the sound🤤 honestly, the little "problems" italian cars sometime's have are 100% worth it😁
One of the best sounding cars ever
1st biker 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
2nd biker 👌🏻👌🏻
MC Stradale is the best sounding stock V8 ever
Ferrari 355, Ferrari 360 CS, Ferrari 458 Speciale too.
The GT MC stradale sounds and design is just really lovely even tho the gearbox is a bit clunky but that's part of the charm of the car itself
Maserati GranTurismo is my favorite car! The sound and looks are just incredible!
Next time make sure to turn traction off in the dry!!-Important in single clutch and hard shifting dct not to confuse the tc and sc when the tires lose some grip in between shifts. This would have been more evident on the loss of grip (in the turns) and that extra bit of lag you were describing was most likely the result. Great video as always man keep it up.
Normally I would, but tbh this was filmed the day after I crashed the M4, so I was not in the mood for anything.
You are right but only with the cars with esp and tc that they have one position response ( on or off ). However in cars with differents nivels of TC, it is advisable to put on in low nivels ( but never off ).
@@mgcharoudin can’t blame you. Safety is definitely most important was just sharing what I’ve learned from driving a rwd car with a dct
@@mdev8846 when I run mdm with the power I’ve got it still cuts ridiculous power in between shifts. I would agree had it been a newer vehicle with a more developed system.
Maserati is the most underrated and bashed upon sport car maker. It is to the benefit of Maserati lovers as the prize stay more reasonable than other car makers and the joy is still 1000% here. ^___-
Unusual car, sweet smooth and fast lap but most of all I enjoyed the chat between you guys at the end. The lap shows us what the car can do but the chat gives us insight into its story, why the owner chose and likes it etc. Real good, liked that a lot 😀
As you say Misha this car is unique. This is the only ferrari engined car I've heard irl, and the glorious sound combined with the elegance and presence... what a beauty! ❤️💚
Almost bought one of these but the brain over ruled the heart. Such a noise ❤️
Owned the regular version in black but with the MC Stradale fitted afterwards, and I can confirm the sound is just mind-blowing. The design is also 1 of the most beautiful car ever produced. The only downsize are the power and the old entertainment system.
I notice the Stradale sounds a bit higher pitch than the standard MC. Is it the exhaust
I'm quite impressed, I really thought it would not handle like it did, it looks quite balanced and the noise is awesome. The owner seems like a cool guy too.
The car seems so relaxed. Misha is telling all the time: "its not that worse", while meantime if it was a Porsche, he would say: "damn, this is good".
This car handles beautifully and the engine is a charm.
@@CAR_NL because porsche handles better duh
YES!! Excited for this one. It was and still is my dream car. One day, but not in white ;)
Nice car. Good video. Great conversation and interaction with the owner. Very enjoyable video. Thanks.
I like the roar this one makes, another great video, thanks for sharing!
Love your vids Misha keep up the work
I’ll buy it immediately ! Instant classic! And what a symphony ❤️🇮🇹
That's one of my dream cars too..the looks and that noise are absolutely perfect..
Absolute WOW!!!! 🤩🥰😍 Thank you, Misha for another great video! :)
Sounds glorious and it does look great. Looked very smooth in the handling department too. If Misha says it's a little soft for a send on the Nür, I would imagine it being pretty much perfect for all-round duties. I like the drama on the shift too. Very cool. p.s. That first biker was an absolute fkwt. I generally prefer bikers over car users because they normally are way more aware of their surroundings simply because they're so vulnerable but occasionally, you get one of these types... I don't mind people checking how the guy behind is keeping up for a bit, for fun, but it was clear after a couple corners that he wasn't gonna shake the Masa... Oh well, you still had a solid run and got back in one piece. All good.
That V8 sound is so awesome 👌👌
This sound is amazing. When you downshift it's even better. Congratulations
Thanks for clarifying we're not swapping cars and I'm really glad I tipped the bike €50 to stop me getting overtaken ;-)
I knew there was sabotage!!
That Sound 😍 Love it 👏
I love that sound! It's a little grunbly but handsomely so. It's my second favourite after the V10s of course :D
I've always loved those Maseratis but prefer the pre-facelift front bumpers
One of the best sounding standard exhaust's.
Yeah man. The sound is amazing. Brilliant lap. Not bad at handling neither. And MPH again 😂
The engine block is based on the F430 engine I believe. Not the 458.
Love the sound of a gran turismo and mc stradale. Most of the time you onl cruise around with them :)
Nice1 Misha, good lap,
Good car by the look of it.
Sounds like a proper v8 too.
👍
OMFG wow that sound🤤The brakes are not great, says it at 140mph lol 😂 Misha Ur a legend. Glad you got to drive one finally, another quality vid m8 👍 thanks
3:32 I thought he was gonna continue and say "same for me, I'm a very beautiful person" :D
That GT was absolutely flying. That lap was almost perfect. Also almost cero tire noises so great chasis.
You know you’re getting old when you have to turn the music down to concerntrate😂 - when Mish goes faster speeds -the cabin in quiet 😂
the owner had such a cool vibe!!!! Just like the car itself !
Decent earphones makes the full experience. I had chills always over 6k RPM.
The brakes should be great; if it follows service schedule.. (ie it has fresh fluid/pads) (which again, people ”forget” about..)
Its very well serviced, even more than the "schedule" but its old tech and a heavy car, especially compared to modern stuff
@@getsomeboost ok! Maybe I’ve been lucky all my cars (1985-2010) have had brakes matching the rest of the car.
Great looking Mazzer there!
Awesome cars, that brand and that sound is worth the price
Sounds beautiful. I remember the first time seeing one.
Love the car .. 4 seater executive express !! Great sounding engine..you made it look so smooth , way better that the constructive criticism 😆
Great video of a GT car hauling a$$! I love it! Make some want to flog mine around mountains roads! Thanks!
Even in the subtitles say music when is accelerating 🔥🔥
Great video and a great car! I’ve had the pleasure of driving this beast myself and Rafiq is such a cool guy. Every time I’ve driven the car Rafiq is the one that keeps reminding me that I can keep on pushing the car and not be scared to rev past 5000rpm 😆.
How does it compare to the e92 m3?
@@whispercars306 The sound of the V8 M3 with the performance exhaust and the carbon plenum is something else “but” the Maserati still sounds better. It sounds like a super car. The brakes are better on the Maserati for sure. Size wise, the Maserati feels and looks a lot bigger than the e92 M3 but it’s not as spacious as you’d think on the inside. The engine is beautiful on the Maserati and it’s a fast car but the thing that lets it down is the gearbox. Such a shame they didn’t put a manual box or something like the dct box in the BMW. When I drove it, the box made me feel like I was driving an e46 M3 SMG but even the SMG with the CSL software, id say has slighter sharper/faster gear changes. That’s the only downside of this car for me.
I’m no expert but this is my opinion 😊
@@Sam_AMG Thanks for the insight, I have a e93 m3 myself. I saw a video of yours probably one of the cleanest e92 m3 I've seen. This 4 seater Maserati Stradale seems like the best upgrade to the m3 shame about the gearbox but the exoticness probably makes up for it.
@@whispercars306 e93 M3 is a lovely car to own. Looks like a coupe winter time and summer time you get to enjoy the glorious V8 sound with the roof down 😊
Thank you! I have cleaning issues 😂
@@Sam_AMG Yeah the drop top hard top is easily the best feature about the e93 m3. I don't like how most new cars now have the soft top, just looks cheap.
As a big fan of the F430 Scuderia, I really loved this car so much ❤️
Everyday I watch you videos they are wonderful keep it up.
i want one too! the look the sound the price, even a ghibli would be ok, a lot cheaper thats for sure , i know the ghibli is not in this league by far but i stiill think they look ok and sound ok with the v6
This Car looks so good❤️
Beautifull car, and nice drive ❤️🇮🇹💪🏻
Interesting comments from Misha on this one, sort of came across pretty nonplussed by the car but yet looked like he was absolutely mobbing around the ring, while it looked super controllable and neutral and sounded ridiculous. Maybe I just misread his feelings on the car. Dope ride, loved how it sounded and looks, have always been a big fan of these!
Yeah. Quite a weird vibe. I track my Maser (also an MC model), and it legit convinced me not to buy a Porsche GT3. It's superbly balanced while much more compliant on rough roads. Brakes are always a weaker point, since Masers tend to be heavy cars, but the steering, diff, balance, damping, ARBs, and spring rate are always superb.
It looks like the shifts are harder the less you're turning, I only see camera shake when shifting at 7k going straight. I call these "European muscle", it's heavy with a giant hood and lots of power. Some of The Aston martins is the same deal I love it.
Thats correct. It shifts at 60ms only when revs are above 5500rpm, Gaspedal is pressed beyond 65%, lateral G-Force is below 0.9g and traction control is not engaging (i.e. no wheel spin).
is that first biker trying to get himself killed or something truly seems that way, completly cluesless
Great car and a amazing drive non the less :)
0:57 the difference in torque is due to the fact that it has a cross plane crank instead of a flat plane crank which Ferrari uses. Flat plane makes easier rpm thus sounding less brutal and more like a F1 engine, whereas the Maser sounds more deep.
GM's LS's are also cross plane and are famous for their torque. (New LT6 is flat plane tho 😂)
Probably one of my favorite GT cars
A car built to savour. For a fast road blast these are definately better than the GT-S but they are no 911 do for me the GT-S is the quintessential Maserati experience!
For a single clutch gearbox that is actually really fast! Sad you did not push all the rpm to see how it sounds near the limiter.
No way! I loved these things as a kid too!
Super cool Misha, that engine sounds pretty special even through RUclips and GoPro's!
That first motorcyclist give the rest a very bad name on the Ring, not surprised why drivers at the ring never say anything positive about them.
one of the best V8 sound everrr.
Crumbs! `back in the day`, `good for the year` 2014 was a couple of weeks ago to me! I feel old!
SHEESH SICKK 🎉🔥🔥🔥
Cool, don't see that parking lot as often I feel, but despite being years since I was there I recognize it. :P
Saw a weird BMW 1600 GT there when I visited, I'd never even heard of those BMWs, turned out it's a weird model from when BMW bought up Glas, and made some BMW badged Glas GT models XD
On topic tho, cool to see the variety of cars you take around the ring, to me it's always huge fun to see you go fast in a slow car, but also fun seeing you go fast in quick cars that you never see going fast as their buyers usually don't use them for going fast (exceptions of course, but still makes them a rare sight)
As maybe the exception of actual race models, I don't think I've ever seen a Maserati driven hard, at least not older ones.
Makes me curious in a way, I'd love to see you taking older sports/super/exotic cars around the ring sometime, like a Countach, a Testarossa, DeTomaso Pantera, Alpine A310, heck even Ferrari Mondial (this one mostly because I for some reason since a kid owning a toy Mondial, got kinda intrigued by this weirdly unpopular Ferrari.) Cars from the childhood that always seemed like cars that'd go super fast, but never actually saw go fast except for in movies or video games, as they seem to always be a bad case of never meet your heroes.
Sounds amazing
Maserati granturismo always sounds so good
Enjoyed listening to the guy car chat at the end. That could have gone on for hours 😄
Love the videos! Would be awesome to see you drive a Shelby GT350 on the ring, saw one in the beginning of the video. I have one I track in the US and would love to see your thoughts on it on the ring.
Stunning car and what a sound
Great video, love to buy one but to expensive in NL🤬. MC stradale still king on sound in a V8🥵🥵🥵❤❤❤
That sounds 😍
I had forgotten about these. Thanks for reminding me about them. They sound great, the look great. I loved the quattroporte too. It looked really badass in all black like a mafia car. The grandturismo had their own vibe going on. Enjoyed the chat you guys had in the end. I could've listened to that for far longer. The biker moment was pretty sketchy.
7:53 man Misha is piloting that car that it became an aircraft
AMAZING CAR!!!!!
Wow these upshifts are brutal
Amazing Car👍👍❤
GT also came with a regular automatic gearbox, this automated manual wasn't the only option
It was in the Stradale version along with race mode & many other things. The US and others unfortunately only got the MC kit... the look without the drama 😊
The transmission is surprisingly fast for a traditional transmission
This man really really loves his car but is a bit too proud to say it :)
One of my life time favorite cars. Sat as a passenger in one a couple years ago. The sound is just something else.
What did you think of the tires Misha? These should be a good alternative to Michelin ps4s if they are not available in your size.
Ive had PS4s but on another car and used on road/track. They are very, very similar tyres. The one issue is different tyres behave differently between cars, e.g. Pirelli Pzeros good on my STI, but terrible on the Maserati
10 year owner, still doesn't feel old yet
He keep tryna play buddy like his car old like so what it’s clean & fast
I feel like if you ride the Ring on a bike, it should be YOUR no 1 priority to get familiar with the overtaking rules and driving culture. You're not as safe on a bike as if you were in a car. Kinda mind blowing to watch that biker ride the track like that.
12:40 that low rpm acceleration, sweet lord... 🤤Timeless design, front end like no other
Oh I love this car
Time to get you behind a new Z06!!! Lets see it :D
What a nice sound
The biker in the beginning saw you for the first time when you were next to him at Flugplatz. He didn't check his mirrors once... It was like a "I don't need mirrors, because I'm fast"-reality check. You completely shattered that dude's illusions of being fast.. probably after he saw you next to him he did look back and saw the traffic jam.. Poor biker..🤔 also idiot biker 😂
omg.. that biker got my blood boiling!
Good video
