Nice video. As a bass player, I think you covered the differences well. For general playing, I think that HB is fine. Getting into more complex playing, I find that most of the lower priced basses tend to be a little less articulate. Usually a good set of DiMarzio or Duncan pickups can fix that though. Great video.
Im totally OK with people talking about the perceived cheapness of Japanese Fenders so the learned minority of us can score exceptional instruments, better made than American and for less than Mexican Fender prices. I guess its a cultural thing that people hang on without really measuring specs or holding an MIJ Fender. Japanese guitar just culture is just generally off the hook. I mean...they make some of the most watched shows on Earth about girls playing guitar or giant robot-jet fighters who play guitar or vespa riding aliens who play guitar. Anyways, dont let that stop the rest of the world from turning their nose up while i rub my hands together plotting the next cool Japanese guitar purchase.
