Gorgeous boat! And I’ve seen a lot of boats - owned & lived on boats for 30 years and I worked in a boat yard / marina office for 12 years. That boat might be one of the nicest and beautifully decorated boat I’ve ever seen! It is a fun lifestyle, but yes a lot of work. We had our catamaran in Ft Lauderdale for a bit - super fun area to explore by boat!
Oh my goodness this episode is awesome! The ship is beautiful and the views are amazing. Thank you for taking us along with you. I can’t wait to see more.
She could not stop smiling. You could tell she was excited to have this experience. Btw “large logs” made me spit out my tea: it was so dang funny. The new camera 📸 is dope. Awesome vid.
My wife and I love this boat so much I’ve saved this video to my “Watch Later” for future reference. I have recently retired and we currently have a President Yachts 36 Sundeck. We love our boat but it’s not quite big enough to live on, so we are on the hunt for a Hatteras 53. We love the design. It is incredible what the previous owner did with this boat in your video. So many great ideas! We will soon be following suit. 😎👉⛴️
So glad y’all had this opportunity! That boat is stunning!! Dave just noted that you have such masterful way of describing your experiences as well as your surroundings.😎
Yinz do/have a bunch of things that make sense to me, thanks for the tour. Galley is awesome; head even better. Induction wouldn't work for us but all-in-all, wonderful and great vibe, stem to stern. Thx for engine talk; I usually skip. Your access is SUCH a great thing. Did not know about the head head! TMI is NOT a thing in this context. Well done!
This is a fantastic watch. We are currently contemplating living aboard our 53' Hatteras. Would love to get some pictures and video of the boat as we would love to do some of the same renovations. I love this!!!!
You can make it happen; But a Marina slit is hard to come by and their at a premium today in both Miami Dade County or Broward. Your friends boat is beautiful; Like how they kept it old but new. Allot $ went into that yacht to refurbish. Love when folks visit the 305 and Florida in General 2021 and now in 2022 a big 🙌 to our Florida Governor for keeping the freedom!
Thank you so much for this! We are setting ourselves up for boat life and we found this super informative in our research and got us even more excited about it. :D Do your friends also have a channel or social media?
Love the video! Great contrast between living on land and on the water. I see you have a Sony A7 IV. Video quality is amazing! Can you please share what else you are using - ie lens and filters etc? It would be greatly appreciated :)
We'll be doing something on that soon, even if it's just a blog. We've only had the camera for 3 weeks now. So just getting used to it! But it's amazing!
@@EatSeeRV Ok great. I am looking at upgrading my A6600's right now and would love to know more about your setup. Basically your go-to lens that you pair with it and what you are using for audio. Again - great job!
Actually you were sitting in an enclosed cockpit. A lazarette is a storage space typically below the deck with a hatch or sometimes a door. Basically a storage space you wouldn’t want to sit in. Sorry 35 years of boating made me comment 🤷♀️
Most boats don't "sanitize" what goes out, definitely not 1970s versions of boats. They macerate it and store it in a tank to be pumped out later or if out far enough at sea, pumps it out unchanged.
I ask bc my late grandpa had one on Miami at the coral reef yacht club and it looks similar you say it was re done...just wondering I miss those times and my grandpa his name was Robert e bogle anyways have a good day I wont take up anymore of your time your yacht is lovely
Have a 53 1978 Detroits EAT fuel Round bottom makes it real rocky and it’s a wet ride It’s uncomfortable in rough water Paid 90 Dropped 60 into it Was lucky to get 110 So happy it’s gone
Just a correction. It is a boat. If you can pick it up with a crane it is a boat if not then a ship. Submarines could be picked up with cranes so boats and as a tradition they are still called boats even though to big for cranes today.
Idk who baby cakes is or who you felt that would be fitting to call. And they're not traveling the world in this just taking it on the great loop. Which this far hasn't been an issue underway.
@@EatSeeRV LOL! You are not very bright are you? You only showed the fly bridge controls not the whole fly bridge so there is your first fail. Second fail is you did not show the forward deck. Third fail is these boats always came with 3 heads, 1 for each stateroom, In the video you said there is one in the guests stateroom you are staying in(which is located aft but forward of the master stateroom) and one in the master stateroom. The forward head was removed at some point to make way for the kitchen addition. You only showed the guest head. You also did not show the master stateroom…Fourth fail. Nice try on the attempted take down. Check the attitude next time landlubber.
Took less than a minute to decide your comment was completely unnecessary. Next time, just skip the rude comment and not watch any of our videos ever again. If this was real life I highly doubt you'd ever say that to my face. The internet is so weird.
You said they went to a better design. The two stroke Diesel was probably one of the best. I know you're too young to realize this at this point, but, after you run those for a while brother, you will see.
What a wonderful boat. The bamboo decor down there would take time to get used to for me but! What a lot of great work there! Lovely
Yes it's a great boat!

It is super inviting. I love how the made it so classy AND comfortable.
The lazarette is a below deck storage compartment/room you would have access to from that area but that area is just called the aft deck
Thanks for the tip!

Christine said the boat is right up her alley. Looks like fun!
That is a really nice galley for that sized vessel.
The interior is really nice for the age of the boats

Great loop is on our bucket list.

Thanks for watching
Beautiful boat , video and decor is so beautiful ! The bamboo is wallpaper ?
Great video and man, what a boat that is. Some real talent went into that restoration.
It is a great boat!
Happy for you both. That’s an amazing yacht. I viewed it for sale. Glad you stayed connected with them and rescue pup. Cheers to your new year.
That's cool
From Road to Sea! What a cool idea 😎

I would love to talk with your boat buddies about their experience and life aboard!

Before the owner re did it was it called the enchantment iv?
Not sure?

Eatseerv did you all just visit a friends boat? Or buy a boat? I’m not sure from the video.
Haha we're pretty clear about it in the video, but we were just visiting friends. This is their boat.
@@EatSeeRV man, that click baity title had me fooled. Fun video though.
There are two happy days with boat ownership. The day you buy it, and the day you sell it.
And many days in between! Haha 😆 but I do know the saying
Obviously you've never been lucky enough or rich enough to own one
I’ve owned a few and enjoy the refit process, it not profitable in the classic sense but the accomplishment and enjoyment are well worth it.
Depends on the weather.😁

Hi Dennis and Liz, What is the fuel capacity and range of the boat ?
If those Detroit motors don’t leak oil something is wrong

Cool boat. Curious how much$$. And what is the new camera equipment??
We got a Sony A7-4 and it's a game changer! I don't know exact numbers. But older boats really aren't that expensive!

You won't have cool decorative stuff laying around once you are underway Baby Cakes

Boat is over 55"LOA. Nothing is going anywhere. I know as I have a a similar size boat.
It's a boat not a ship
Ur a hater, not a person
Never own a boat just make friends with a yacht owner and bring beer and pizza.
Good life advice!
This wasn't a full tour...You did not show the master cabin/head, the forward deck or the fly bridge. Disappointing.
