I hope you enjoy today's chatty peaceful session. This video captures how fully imersed I get in my work sometimes. At times like that, I am completely authentic to my creative soul. Have a gorgeous, creative week guys!!!
What a beautiful meditation on the consciousness of art making and creativity. Love the lily pads! Thanks for the encouragement. Went and dug out my water color supplies and I’m going off to the woods this morning with a happy heart!
Kaitlin! That makes me so happy! I wish I could join you in the woods. It's getting so hot here these days. Have tons of fun! Thank you for your kind words. 😊🙏🖌📚🪷
Thank you for such a beautiful video, Reese! I’ve been thinking a lot about this too lately and how I want to make sure I’m always doing art for myself first, no matter where this art journey takes me. So I’ve started working on personal art projects just for fun alongside all the things I’m studying, and it feels really amazing😊 You put it all into words so beautifully! Also, what a lovely spot in nature😍 Have a great week!✨
Dawn, I love the idea of personal art projects. I've always wanted to do a real series that was cohesive, but I haven't yet. I guess all that matters is that you are inspired to be creative. Sometimes life is so busy but making some room to follow your art heart is so important I think. Continue to honor your muse and have a gorgeous week! 😌🙏🌻🖌🎨
"The stillness" yes! I love that, Judy! That's exactly what i hope for. I'm glad you enjoyed the lily pads. They are calling me from a larger project. Their colors are gorgeous for sure. 🪷🖌📚😌🙏
I hope I can capture that some day. I’d love a video from you about how you built that painting!! It’s not easy to do. At least I don’t think so! But I don’t know the technique! 🎨
Thanks 😊 I always enjoy seeing your smile . I am not feeling that creative. I was scammed in March. I also need to get my apartment shipshape - or face the possiblity of being asked to move on.
just what I needed. I host paint parties and one will begin in 2hrs. I need to find more energy. Been so tired lately so need to find the juice again! thanks
Gosh, Gwen, I'm glad to hear it! I hope the paint party goes over beautifully! Sounds like fun. I know what you mean about that tierd feeling. It's hard to stay motivated sometimes 😕 Chins up, let's March forward and do our best. We can do this! Have a beautiful week! 😌🙏🖍📚🌻
Thank you for such a wonderful video. I live in an area that was in the path of totality during the recent eclipse. As it began to get dark, the Spring Peepers became very vocal. It was such a awesome experience. I love your lily pad sketches.
Thank you, Elaine. Wow, what a cool experience. We didn't have a full eclipse here, but I was stuck in a work meeting nonetheless. I do love spring peppers. They are adorable. 😌🙏🌻🖍📚🐸
I found myself by walking in the woods on my weekends during the shutdown. Being in healthcare, I never had the opportunity to experience the ability to 'just stay home' - going to the woods was how I could get back to my self week after stressful week. I really enjoyed this video.
I'm so glad. I definitely think the small part of time I could get during the shutdown was a way to keep my sanity as well. Being alone inside was always different than being alone in the woods. There, I somehow felt connected and maybe closer to God. As you probably see in Healthcare, so many of us are sick. That separation from good real food and nature causes so many problems, I feel. I hope you get more opportunities to get outside. Thank you for your work, and for watching my video. I hope you have a week filled with beauty. 🙏🌻🖍📚
Thank you for bringing us along and sharing your JOY with us Reese!!! I truly believe that you have found "your jam" in the woods observing the natural world. Your nature observations and the way that you capture them in your sketchbook are exquisite. It is also such a glimpse into your heart that makes me appreciate you as a person. I am enthralled by your love for things that are decaying, aging, and otherwise "imperfect"! It reminds me of Wabi Sabi. I have explored this a bit myself, but I suppose that I have embraced my own version of it. Have a wonderful week ❤️!!!
Your comments are always so kind. Thank you so much ☺️ I do love being out in nature with my sketchbook. I always feel recharged afterwards. There is always beauty to be found in the new sprouts, full leaves of summer and especially fall and winter, my favorite times. Leaning into the beauty of detritus also prepares me in my aging to see the beauty in that as well. Have a gorgeous week! ⚘️🙏🖌🎨
Hello reese. A new to your channel and i'm very thankful that you did that video. I love your beautiful words and poetry.I love your soft voice unrushed. I love how you paint and how you feel about painting and how encouraging you are. I have a woman's group that I started ten years ago and it's called choose joy. And we have stuck together through thick and thin danced.Did Yoga played boated swam? You name it. But sometimes when I encourage them to do something artistic they're very shy about it. I think as. We get older. We are afraid to try something new fear of failing. And with art or stitching for fun.Or sketching, there is no way to fail. It's always a win. Because you're looking at nature.Things that god created and you are so Excited about it you have to try to capture it with your own hand and way of looking at things. Not sure.I can do your june challenge but I sure would like to try. God bless you also have a wonderful week. I'm on my. Way to go camping in vermont and go antique. I'm seventy one I'll never be too old to have fun and learn.
Hi there! I'm so glad you found me here. Thank you for all your kind words. Your group sounds like fun. I hope they try more creative things, even abstract watercolor can be fun and creative. So you are in Vermont? I've never been but it looks lovely. I'll be talking about the June Sketchbook Challenge this weekend if you want some ideas. I hope you join me. 😁🙏🖌📚⚘️
That is awesome! It's so peaceful and wonderful to combine art with a bit of forest bathing for a peaceful practice! I hope you do go out and have fun! 😊🍃🖌📚
I'm so glad you felt that way. It's always my goal. I hope that these videos inspire people to slow down and appreciate nature using the tool of art for observation and meditation. Hopefully, more to come. 🙏⚘️😊🖍📚

Hi it’s so nice to see watercolour painting in other countries thanks from the UK
Thank you, Rossalyn. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's my favorite go-to for plein air studies especially. Such a versatile medium. 😊⚘️🖌📚🎨
