It is so good that you are prioritizing self-care in your practice. Whenever you post, it is a pleasure, but not one that should cost you your health and well-being. Take good care.
I'm a bit late with this video, but I hope you enjoy today's content. I'm going to move to publishing every 2 weeks moving ahead, explained in the video... I hope you are all moving gently into a beautiful weekend. Wishing you beauty and joy! 🙏⚘️📚🖌
Thank you so much, Reese; this video is beautiful. Don't say you are not an artist because you have a day job. You are an artist! and a content creator! I love your videos; I find them refreshing and like I have a fellow artist with me when I find the time to sit and paint in my studio. And you have another job, just like in many other activities. I do recommend you to read the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. She talks a lot about this feeling. I was feeling the same as you, with my job and me "trying to be" an artist, and this book helped me a lot to understand and make peace with myself. Don't give up. You don't have an obligation to produce xx videos a month. I don't think we want or have the right to expect that.
I have a marked up copy of Big Magic actually...lol. it's a very encouraging book. I actually have embraced calling myself an artist over the years...it certainly did take time as you said. I just have a goal to be a full-time artist as I get closer to retirement. Elizabeth's book is certainly great resource for creative people. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. It makes me happy to know that lovely people like yourself are bringing me into your studio space for creative time. I have creators I follow that I do the same thing. This space is so wonderful as a place to inspire and encourage each other. Thank you so much for your kind words. I truly appreciate you. ⚘️🖌📚🙏😌
ㅎㅎㅎㅎ 안녕하세요~ 기억하고 있어요. I love your June sketchbook challenge, This is my favorite, every painting is great in this book. You have beautiful eyes.....I think. So your paintings are beautiful.
Hi Reese, Judy here. Thank you for this lovely update/summary of your June sketchbook art challenge. I have three favourites, your Spanish Needles, so joyful, your South Korean Pine tree, love the movement in the needles and your Korean ice cream, I can taste it 😁! Think I can have 3 favourites 😉 I appreciate the effort it takes to create not only your beautiful art work but also produce and post your RUclips videos. I anxiously await each one not only for the visual treat but also for your very meaningful and personal commentary. That said though, you must come first. We (your followers ) and RUclips must come second. Every two weeks, I’ll take that, whatever you decide, I’ll still be here cheering you on. You will succeed in your goals in your own time. Wishing you the best as you move forward.
